  1. More the merrier..
  2. If you are in NSW (sorry if you have stated where you are from) you can still get the Brant Nemesis installed, aparently there is a new one that has a tilt sensor and auto window winder (mine doesn't..) Search the forums, Alan Jong I think it is installs them.. He's great, if your near Chris, i'd suggest you take the car to him though.. Brant is quite expensive - your looking at $1000+.. Although I enjoy having a keypad.. makes me feel that little bit safer..
  3. Well..I think i'll probably just get the 2 x Battery powered ones that don't need the charger.. that way don't have to worry about chargers.. The more the merrier.. someone has to take me for a spin in their GT-R.. and stan.. you owe me a ride in your car..
  4. Ok.. sorry to dig up one of my old topics.. but i've managed to find a picture of the lights.. Anyone have any idea where I could get these, or some like them.. Cheers. Links
  5. It's gonna be another BEAUTIFUL day.. Put the car in for a service today.. and finally got the bleed valve installed.. oh yeah baby.. oh yeah! Alien.. you trying to Jinx it .. we can always change @ thornleigh maccas.. I don't mind.. Stan - did you have a charger for the radio, or did it come with a serperate one?
  6. Ok.. finally got around to installing this bastard.. FCUK ME.. What a son of a gun to get the bloody vacuum hose off.. Took me about 20minutes and alot of grunt to get it off.. finally worked out that if you twist.. and twist.. and twist they come off.. Didn't find a restrictor.. Pretty much just replaced the T-Piece with marks controller.. first run.. boosted to about 0.75Bar.. finally got it down to about 0.65Bar.. spikes a little bit so still goto fine tune it.. haven't blocked off the T piece hose or the solenoid, just completely removed it from the wastegate hose.. Goto say.. good fun driving with it, comes on boost hard, might wind it up harder this weekend after service.
  7. Just because they were released on there doesn't mean they aren't rendered.. looks pretty mean though.. like the wallpapers.. anyways.. they could have put a couple of extra things up on there..
  8. WOOOT everyone hit refresh
  9. Looks like we've goto wait.. it's sitting on 0 seconds until they update the site..
  10. well.. i'll see what mine show's in 4 minutes.. hmm dissapointed about the whole V8 thing.. and not sure about the whole RWD.. they obviously didn't want to put much more R&D into Atessa... I would be bargaining on alot of shared parts from the 350Z as well..
  11. Just letting you know - it goes off whatever your systems clock is aparently.. 2 and 3 look computer generated..
  12. Why the ugly spoiler? guess we could ask the same thing about your car in the sig .. just stirring.. don't mind it - looks very similar to some 350Z spoilers.. I still thing the 3rd image is a computer generated one - transposed onto photo of the track.. shouldn't be too long to wait though is it..
  13. Image no 2 and 3 look 3D graphics (3DS Max or Maya) done.. looks alright, don't mind the rear, the vents look like the RX-8 though to me.. don't like that part.. can't wait for the site to open..
  14. you should get the Hot Version video with the HKS R34 GT-R.. that this is a friggin rocket..
  15. What about at the BP before Chatswood.. they have parking there.. it's just after the epping road/lane cove road turnoff heading up the pacific hwy.. Where are most of you located that want to meet early.. i'm in north sydney.. stan is in manly..
  16. Nah I agree with Stan, Chatswood area is great, at that time there will be plenty of parking for the 5 of us.. + heading up further defeats the purpose of meeting up before hand..
  17. People - i'm buying a CB/radio twin pack - if someone wants the other one for $30 let me know and i'll bring it with me..
  18. Also stan - where and what were the radios I should think about getting?
  19. Getting my car serviced tomorrow.. so should be going nice and smoothly in time for sunday.. I think the gearbox oil's a bit overdue for a change.. plus getting some nice Motul in the engine..
  20. Agree with the regrouping, doesn't hurt.. i'm sure people won't get lost on the old pac.. but they might get quite spread out depending on how some people drive.. Looks like an early start for me, would almost be better for me to meet everyone at berowra.. i'll see how I go though.. Stan you gonna meet me and head up?.. Picking my friend up @ normanhurst but it's on the way..
  21. I think you'll find that it is counted as being under the list.. http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/licensing/gettin...ons.html?llid=4 The following is taken from this page.. Just because a exact model number of the vehicle isn't on it.. it doesn't matter.. I've bolded some parts of it.. Vehicle and passenger conditions for P1 and P2 licence holders On 11 July 2005 the NSW Government introduced two changes to the provisional licence scheme. Both changes are new initiatives to help reduce the young driver road toll. Vehicle and passenger conditions are described below. Prohibited vehicles The prohibited vehicle condition restricts all new provisional (P1 and P2) drivers from driving certain vehicles while on their provisional licence. The scheme aims to prohibit young driver access to vehicles that are overrepresented in young driver crashes. Prohibited vehicles are those with: * Eight or more cylinders. * A turbocharged engine. * A supercharged engine. * Engine performance modifications. * Certain high performance six cylinder engine vehicles. A list of prohibited vehicles is available to view and download from the box at the bottom of this page. The list will be updated as required. Please note: the list is a guide only and subject to change at any time without notice. If your vehicle is not on the list but would otherwise be considered to be a ‘prohibited vehicle’, you must not drive it, unless exempt. Guidelines for light vehicle modifications, including engine modifications, are also available to view and download at the bottom of this page (refer to Vehicle standards information sheet VSI 06). The prohibited vehicle condition does not apply to: * Existing provisional (P1 and P2) licence holders prior to 11 July 2005, unless they are disqualified for a serious driving offence committed on or after 11 July 2005. * Learner licence holders. * Vehicles with diesel powered engines. That should probably answer any questions..
  22. Get back from Thailand tomorrow.. looking forward to this one.. providing my car is still in the garage when I get home .. Catch you all there.. seems to be a fair few people coming!.. NICE..
  23. "SiksII, what would you say the max boost is that the stock turbo can put out without failing? " I would suggest that you use the search function.. Your running a 12 year old car, that you from the looks of it have only just purchased. You don't know the history of this car and you think that it's mechanically sound because your an apprentice... Unless you pull the whole engine block apart and take a look at it your never going to be sure.. most people here run about 10psi.. if you searched you'll find it eaily enough.. if you stuff your turbo, you'll have to fork out for a new turbo + possibly engine repairs.. I doubt your getting to > 180km/h - while on the dyno my car hit the 180km/h limit but didn't even feel like it was, that was in 4th.. As for fuel - everyone on here runs premium fuel that's not going to do crap to save you.. if your car is old or something isn't quite working and you modify it without the correct backups you'll run into issues.. Instead of boosting the turbo - maybe look at getting a new FMIC, an SAFC2, couple of other things, check out the car on the dyno - than wind it up.. that way you can track the A/F ratios and get a decent tune.. at the moment it'll be running very rich, with a proper tune you could prob get as much power out of the stock turbo settings than you just winding it up to 10psi.. Good luck with it.. Links
  24. Stan you gooose.. read the first page.. What we're doing is heading to thronleigh maccas.. than heading up the old pac (pacific hwy) that was used to travel up the north coast before the built the freeway.. most of it's 1 lane each way.. got some nice windy stuff and isn't too busy.. should be a great cruise up.. We're heading to gosford than through to Avoca Beach which is about 20mins from Gosford turn off.. Have Lunch.. go for a swim.. Than ROCK ON BACK.. i'm gonna be coming up - so feel free to meet me near my place if you come over the spit bridge than we can head up to thornleigh.. it's gonna take us about 40mins to get there so we'll have to be a bit early!!... I'm off to thailand in 2 hours for a week or so.. i'll catch ya'll when I get back..
  25. Check it out here.. http://www.topsecretjpn.com/gallery.shtml Also I think the UK run that he did was an RB26 powered Supra.. something like that..
