  1. just beat me wilch..
  2. Firstly, nice ride.. welcome to the club.. Rather than re-chipping the ECU - I suggest you look into a Power FC which is a fully replaceable ECU and the results will be as good as if not better than a re-chip.. should look at about ~$1050 for a power fc + about $300 for dyno time + tuning.. maybe more.. some of the guys should know.. cheers, Links
  3. ^^ that was what I was worried about if I was gonna go.. ended up going for a drive up to Avoca instead.. All my friends were working so no-one was gonna come + couldn't have made the whole day.. Photos look good.. Who were the judges?

Cheers..
  5. Goto agree with Tommo, main reason why you should always get your car dyno'd at the same place, providing they don't change their setup, you atleast will have figures relavant to previous ones that are accurate.. although - goto say <140 sounds quite low..
  6. typical skyline A/F graph.. mines the same.. drops down to 10..
  7. Saw today a ver very very nice Black R34 Gt-R V-specII Nur while up at Avoca Beach having some food.. number plate GTR... Was very jealous of him when he went past.. bloody nice car.. + I imagine 1 of not very many ever made or in Australia
  8. Dirtgarage - if your reading this - check your PM..
  9. Here's a sneak peak..
  10. It should be out on sale soon - probably earlier than I said.. but they tend to be about a week after subscription deliveries.. I'll put up photos of the articles later.. I recommend buying this one as it's a Skyline Special..
  11. I've got a video of the HKS R34 in action.. I'll see if I can put it up somewhere - maybe on my server..
  12. Prob won't be out till the 10th.. i'm a subscriber and i'm guessin 2rismo is as well.. full article on "twoogle" as well.. lookin good guys..
  13. it really depends on how hard you drive alot.. A/F is dependant on what load you have the car going at.. if you drive it pretty easy you should get better economy, definately change the O^2 sensor.. if you have only just got the car - give yourself a bit of time to get over the flat chat fun than it'll start to be a bit better as well.. but yeah - you need an SAFC2 or PowerFC which lets you adjust them.. remember the ecu doesn't use the oxygen sensor until it goes over a certain load point (i'm pretty sure).. anyways - good luck..
  14. QUOTE(wreckedhead @ 28 Sep 2005, 10:26 PM) forget the csiro,or mscs and what not, try getting a J.O.B that would be the best thing i suggest. Cos i'm sure working at mcdonalds will really help you break into networking.. he's trying to find out what he can do to get a better job in an industry that he wants to get into..
  15. Was wondering who was going to be going.. wouldn't mind comnig for a bit.. goto see how busy I am.. Satanic - you gonna be heading out?
  16. "Cisco or Nortel - these guys just want to just flog products." goto completely disagree with you there - that could be said for any company you work in especially if it's in a project manager or sales role. while working for cisco as a tech support - I learnt a hell of a lot more there than I have since - working for a vendor gives you an in depth knowledge and access to information the general public don't get.
  17. there is a video of it with translation I do believe.. they think the mines one is 2 powerful if I recall..
  18. i'd recommend getting the sybex guide.. also the cisco press one's (there is 2 - one for the 640-811 and 640-821) I think?.. is helpful and in depth.. pm me for a site that has them as pdf's...
  19. oh and merli - i'll have to come along to a dinner and have a chat sometime..
  20. Ahhh the great networking debate.. well i'll give you a run down on what's happened with me.. Completed a Comp Sci degree @ uni.. Got a job with Cisco for a while working as a support engineer in the TAC (worldwide support teams) Moved over to Optus.. been there 3 months as a Network Engineer - don't work on quite as high a level as andrew, however do work on alot of cisco gear.. best way to get into a networking job - through people you know.. it's very difficult to walk into a job that you just "apply for".. it helps when someone recommneds you apply for it.. Also if you are struggling - I would suggest doing some 6 month contracts through an agency - you are at no time under obligation to stay there - if you get offered something better than leave and go there.. but on the other hand - be careful - no one wants to see 8 jobs in 6 months.. Contract work is great - and I was doing that at Cisco - however it wasn't for me - personally I prefer full time - but a starts a start.. Currently I do business provisioning - including working on some top end and low end cisco gear - quite interesting working in large scale networking.. Good luck with it - i'd stick with the cisco - and as everyone says - experience helps.. btw - I don't have cisco cert however I know about 10x more than it.. in my eyes it just shows your good at rote learning - i've seen people who have done the exam and never even picked up or configured a real router..
  21. I've got a factory sunroof in my SII - i've also got nismo front bar.. another factory option.. + gt-r rear wing.. love the options.. hmm.. yeah rare I guess.. haven't seen too many around..

  23. Also - don't forget that there is the 40th Anniversary SII.. such as mine .. it's got the GT-R adjustable rear wing.. and also mine has a nismo front bar.. which gets rid of the foglights and just has the blinkers.. apart from that - it's also got hicas and sunroof as options.. + 2 x 40th anv stictching in seats.. that's about it. really..
  24. Hope it's a different one to the "broker in the UK" that was banned in the other thread.. markus bright or something.. anyways - free bump.. nice ride.. good luck with the sale.. i'm dreading the day I try to sell me R33
