  1. I was looking at this as well, i'll check out doodz's one next saturday and make my decision from that.. looks good though, would be nice if there was some better software from my thoughts.. the analog system doesn't look the best.. You can map it with different systems, but real time is the greatest.. Other option is to get an R34 MFD and wire it into the ECU.. found a couple of links on how to do it..
  2. Black R33 - GAV-80N.. Bayside Blue - R34 - 34VSPEC (I think it was..) A couple of others as well while I was driving around on vapours.. stupid fuel prices..
  3. Also - stan i'd say that you'll need a laptop with the serial port - vga is for your video .. that or the parallel.. but i'm pretty sure the serial should be right.. also - where can I get a consult cable from - atleast a home made jobby.. cheers, Links
  4. Stan: Sorry for not posting, you mentioned you were going to be asking for help and I didn't even see it.. Was in talks with stan to help him do his oil change, and was thinking of doing mine at the same time - so i'm hoping that if I bring some beer + oil - we can have an alcohol fuelled oil change eh!.. on a serious note - I was planning on doing this next weekend anyways by myself however stan asked me to help, and we think it'd be good to have some pro's there.. Keep us updated with the location/plan - hopefully somewhere on the north shore. I'll bring a case.. probably just gonna do oil + filter.. also where can I get the oil filter from and which one is it? i'll be putting in motul 4100 - most of you guys recommended it - 5w40 I believe, which is quite thin when cold, however should be good for the turbo when doing cold starts.. Hope to see you there.. also - where's the dyno day.. wouldn't mind seeing wht my car does @ the wheels.. Links
  5. if it's the GTS-t than probably - i've got hicas on mine - tis a 98 40th annv. Look under the rear wheels, you'll see 2 little arms 1 for each wheel and a motor kinda thing there as well that is used to move it. Also get in the car, turn it on there should be a hicas light.
  6. no offence intended - however i'd suggest trying search http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...?act=Search&f=8 you'll find most of the stuff around in the forced induction forum or general maintenecnce or skyline and other cars topic..
  7. i'll upload it in a sec donutdave.. should be done by the time you've refreshed it..
  8. Looks like your on your own - i've tried it - worked fine..
  9. Hmm.. fair enough - i'm checking it out myself now as well i'll let you know.. I'm pretty sure it'll work - so not sure what's going on with your connection.. Sorry..
  10. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=35129 is the link for what to lookout when buying one..
  11. There's a great thread on this somewhere - i think in the general maintenence thread.. anyways - goto say - finding a SII R33 with <60,000kms that's got a real odometer reading will be quite hard.. The allblitz guys have got a pretty good one - hunsu is on the site - http://www.allblitz.com.au/cars/japcars/98gtst.html If your after a decent R33 SII - 40th Annv which are rarish kinda - more of them over here now i'd go for it.. it's also got optional nismo front bar and gt-r rear wing.. Check it out..
  12. Donutdave - i've tried them out both work downloading and viewing on the site (i'd recommend downloading them..) Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 installed - you can get it on the front page, i'm pretty sure the R32 all engine manual requires it.
  13. Links

    Please...

Personally I wouldn't bother, makes it more of a target.. Who says I want a GT-R.. maybe i'm happy with people knowing i've got a sideways going gts-t.. just coming from a gts-t owners view.. however saying that - my car has factory option gt-r adjustable rear wing + nismo front bar.. I think gt-r rear wing is a different story.. and is fine to have.. but the badge.. meh..
  14. Hope you've got a scanner mr_crust ..
  15. hmmm.. i'm still weighing up whether I should do it by myself.. i'm guessing if I do it right I shouldn't end up with oil all over the ground.. What's the best place on the north shore that I could get a) motul oil and B) oil filter.. might have to invade a mates place to do it.. lol Which motul is the best to use out of interest..
  16. Thanks to V-Spec we've now got the Gregories Diff and Trans books up on the server as well as the R31 Service Manual.. http://www.crankroom.com/sau/R31/ Check the first page for username and password.. Does anyone have a copy of the R33 SII Owners manual There is one in english that I am after, it's bloody impossible to find.. Cheers guys..
  17. ^^ Not everyone has the facilities to do an oil change.. e.g. i've got a carport in an apartment block - which makes self-servicing quite difficult..
  18. That's a pretty major service Gearbox Oil – Motul FF Comp $135 plus $35 labour Brake Fluid – Motul RBF600 $50 plus $60 labour Diff Oil – Motul FF Comp $90 plus $35 labour Spark Plugs - Iridium $130 plus $77 labour All of those you won't need to do for about 50,000kms.. A general service would be engine oil, oil filter, radiator flushed + copper spark plugs if you were putting them in.. Most of your costs are the consumables e.g. >$500 for fluids/oils Not too bad, how many km's has the car done out of interest?
  19. If someone has a copy - pm me and i'll give ftp details so you can upload it.
  20. I think you were meaning the stock level of boost in the R33 aren't you.. they run 5psi from 0 -> 4,500rpm - than 7/8psi > 4,500.. as duncan said the highest you should run is 12psi as you will strip your exhaust wheel in the turbo if you go any higher.. as for the 14.7 - that is = 1bar = +7 on the R33 boost gauge.. hope that helps..
  21. Awesome mate - thanks for that.. glad you got it working - i'm keen to up it a little bit - just to give myself a bit more of go. Don't have a front mount though - so i'll do it during winter than prob get rid of it in summer to keep the temperatures down.. I'm waiting for mark to get back to me and i'll order one.. mark if your on here - check your email..
  22. Cheers - restrictor, thought you said resesitor ... i'll check out the post..
  23. If anyone wants to scan them - or put them into digital i'm happy to host them for people to download on the manuals site..
  24. tkch55 - sounds great mate - good work.. Any chance you could take a photo of the location of the resistor and how you've wired up your boost controller.. Cheers.. Links.. also you got a link to sydneykid's post?
  25. Passed 2 x Skyline guys this arvo got the thumbs up.. only managed a wave back from the inside..
