  1. Invision Power Board is a much better forum system - has a number of extra functions and is quite easy to maintain and admin - as well as do addons.. the hardest part about it is programming the Skins - i've done a couple of them on different forums - not the easiest and takes a fair bit of time to get exactly right. Font however is too small.. my eyes are straining to read it properly..
  2. It's an addon mod for IPB - so they'll have to set it up - unfortunately doesn't come standard..
  3. installing a switch as i'm doing will stop this issue.. also - it only runs 8psi when it's spooling.. so really.. it's up to you and how hard you want to drive it... shouldn't be to much of an issue.. most people drive with 10psi aftermarket.. thing you should be more worried about is the boost solenoid - having 100% grnd all the time.. put a switch in and only use it when you want to..
  4. Glad you made it away in 1 piece.. unfortunately ppl that do those sorts of things are prepared to hurt people no matter what the price.. luckily the car that got you into it also got you out of it which is good - that and the fact they didn't pursue you.. hope this doesn't happen again to you or anyone and to everyone else - be careful.. 5. Never mind - i've sorted it myself - i've purchased the following: http://dseau.resultspage.com/search.php?p=...34&site=&w=7701 for anyone that doesn't know anything about electronics you need a SPDT switch which is the following: SP = Single Polarity - DT = Dual Throw - which pretty much means that if you flick it one way 1 thing turns on - flick it the other way the other thing turns on.. good luck!
  6. Could someone please send me a link for the type of switch I would need to use for this setup. I want to put one in so I can flick it one way for 5/8psi other way for 8psi.. I've bought one from dick smith that has 3 prongs on it and I was guessing it should work however I can't even get it to work with 2 little LED's and a battery.. so either I suck - or I've bought the wrong switch - which I think is the case (hopefully)
  7. Sites back up people - another month has ticked around and so another 20gig has come.. Enjoy.. http://crankroom.com/sau username: sau password: august Links
  8. Sorry didn't make it - had no idea of what was happening so went and got oporto's... next time..
  9. i'm missing what's going on..
  10. I'm currently looking into 100gig/month hosting based in the US for ~$15/mnth. If I do this however I may/may not front the whole cost.. with 100gig I can also host alot more files/videos as i'll have 5x bandwidth. i'll get in contact with some admin's and have a chat. just giving ppl an update + wanted to get some feedback as to whether they would like this to happen? update: currently in discussions with my current hosting - so we'll see what he says and I might be up and running again soon..
  11. Was about to reset it last night when I found I need a decent socket wrench to undo the battery terminal - damn the nuts on tight.. will probably do it this weekend when I can a) buy some proper tools and B) see what the hell i'm doin and there isn't a gale force wind.. I'm still tossing up whether to do it - at the moment car is running well - doesn't appear to be running rich or lean - backfire has gone away (probably from ecu learning and also just getting everything worked out - had been on a boat for 3 months and hardly driven) So i'm weighing up as to whether it's worth the trouble - obviously won't do anything bad - but i'm pretty happy with how the car's going. Is there a chance I could see improved fuel economy?
  12. I'll also setup my home server when I get my new adsl router .. goto get the $$$'s first so we'll see how we go - cheers rinmak
  13. why can't you drive it wilch.. huh.. huh.. bet it goes fast..
  14. On another note - an American Tourist got caught doing >200km/h near tarcutta - down near wagga area the other day - said that he didn't notice cos the car was just soo smoooth at that speed ahahahaha...
  15. if they were able to get the bonnet open first - they could have stopped it.. anyways - hope you find it - not good to hear that it was taken.. even with that alarm in..
  16. Afternoon people.. I've been deciding on whether or not to reset my ECU. My reasoning for this is that the car only recently arrived in the country and would have "learnt" on 100+ RON petrol that they have in japan. As i'm now running the car on 98 Octane fuel the timing maps and so forth would be a bit different for what i'm running. Because of this I was thinking of resetting the ECU this weekend and letting the car relearn it's mappings. what i'm after is the procedure for helping the car relearn after i've reset it. Previous posts I found this: reset the ECU - than do 3 x 3000rpm to redline 2 x idle to redline take the car for a decent drive.. This is what i'll probably do - does anyone have any recommendations - personally don't like free revving the car to redline - anyone have any suggestions/experiences with resetting it. Thanks, Links
  17. All else fails - use rinmak's mirror..
  18. MickieB - grab the all engine one for the RB20DET.. doesn't have chassis details, but will help you with the engine.. ************************************************** ******** Manuals are back up.. username: sau password: august Cheers, Links ************************************************** *********
  19. ********************************************************** 19gig out of 20gig bandwidth has been used. For the moment I am temporarily halting downloads - if you require something pm me and i'll allow download of that file. I have to do this as at the current rate we'll all be used up in 2 days.. Cheers, Links ***********************************************************
  20. wow - 800kms a weekend.. what you doin with the thing..
  21. check out the ezitrak website.. pretty sure it's http://www.ezitrak.com/ - however this might not have coverage - which will be the biggest issue with a gps system in this country..
  22. i think you'll find the speeds I get are quite close to your bigpond cable, not only that but I get 110kB/s upload - while you get about 12kB/s if i'm correct. Also - your charged for uploads - whereas i'm not. As for speed - cable is dependant on the number of users sharing the cable trunk - more users = lower speeds. also mine is dedicated meaning I can get 800kB/s 100% of the time if I need it.. while cable you may get slower speeds during peak times.. for what I pay - $70/mnth I get 40gig downloads - while cable is capped at 10gig if your on unlimited or pay $100/mnth for 20gig.. i'll take the ADSL. edit: 1 thing I must note - not all people can get these speeds with ADSL - i'm on an iinet enabled exchange.. so i'm lucky.
  23. Any chance you could give us a link so I can put it up on the server..
  24. thought it was a joke.. damn it'll be funny.. be like an easy way of spotting people who will be up for a race @ the lights.. just look for the H plates..
  25. Get an ISP that doesn't count uploads like iinet.. download - 12mbit - upload - 1mbit - free uploads.. make's it alot easier for bittorents..
