  4. thats what i was going to do. i wanted rwd and 26. so i priced a gtr or a gtst+26. it came to the same price. so go a gtr dude. and if you still want just rwd pull the box out and put a rwd box in it. with some mucking around
  5. no. you need nissan matic j. or castrol transmax z or penrite synthetic trans oil.
  6. now that my new work is sponserd by penrite , every time i do the eng oil.
  7. that means its a gts-4 box blue=4.375:1 red is 4.11:1. or its had the drive changed or yoyve got gts-4 diffs and someone did the right tjhing and change it for you if its a gtr you should have a red one.
  8. nar. youl be to tall in 3rd and above. factory 1-2 is shit. but if you can get a 3.9. say fron a silvia it may be woth a try

  11. oh. i can confirm this lack of bite. i have them on the rear of mine in ap 4 pots. and performance friction carbon metalics in the front. for the life of me i cant get the rears to lock. hence my master cyl thread thays with 50/50 pressures. the pfc in the alcons just work to well. but im gettinfg some diferant rears with bigger pistons so theres more pressure aplied to the pad. curantly ive got 41.3/44.5 front and 27/27 in the rears. changing to 30/34 in the rear. i want to get it to lock up so i can tune it properly. rite now all it does is cook the fronts cos the rears just arnt being efective at all. any idaes?

  14. umm no. ring nissan. i have a gtr not a gtst. but i do have cylinder that fits i can sell you. its a s15 one. with a 1 inch bore wich is better then the 15/16 bore of the gtst.

  16. dont go forgies. its to hard to get the machining corect if your on a budget. if in dought get ones with file back rings. like cp.
  17. cool. n1 pistons are cheap. about 80 each. use sr20 bigend bearings from acl. (there identical,im not sure they have the 25/26 bearings on file) about 80 bucks for 16 shells. use rb30 mains (acl) about 60 bucks (two sets,explained later) the n1 piston uses better rings but is still prone to breaking. a friend told me a stock pistion can take about 3 seconds of detonation an n1 can take 4 hehe use a 5 dollar oil restrictor (tomie) use a genuin cambelt.(cheaper than aftermarket) the gasket set is a bit pricy but un avoidable. dont bother with a steel head gasket. (mines oem and pushing 450hp atw.) one thing worth getting is a n1 harmonic balancer. dont get arp studs. (unless your getting it line bored and torqueplate honed.) use tomie rod bolts. (arp use the vg30 ones and there to short.) set it up 2.5 thou on the mains and 1.6-1.8 thou on the bigends. use the groved block side maines on both sides of the crank. but you will have to get the girdle notched to suit the bearing retaining notch on the other side. or you could not bother lol. get the crank grub screwd so you can clean it properly.

WELL, non premium fuel and overheating doesnt root bearings. full stop. to comfirm this a v8 brute that we worked on had the thermo fan die on the grid. it went out to race with 120 degrees on the water guage. it overheated so bad it warped the heads and the block just over 1mm on the worst part. the head bolts were blue on the areas where the block was. so apart from completly ruining the motor we pulled it down and the bearings were fine!! either its the penrite or something else. my guess is its a asembly error or a case of oil surge.
