  3. funny. still used in the pre diesel r8 lemans cars... meaning the inlet manifold design and 2 injectors per port.. (before fsi injection) most of the f1 turbos and most of the current wrc inline 4 rally cars. cosworth,scoda etc etc.
  4. exacly. im running a 12 injector setup. (2 per port shooting at each valve) rather than bashing anywhere all over the port wall.(ie stock) havent decided whether to have them staged or running in parralell. i got the idea from nissans new system also some sucessful race engines ie: s2 quattro pikes peak
  5. so how do seimans deka's compare. for 40usd each. 60lb. good spray pattern? ps why cant siemens have a product sheet like that bosch ev14 one <_<
  6. cool. but when i can get brand new deka 4's for 40usd each its hard not to take notice. not a fan of "customised" injectors. i just dont know if there is better. spray pattern wise. ps. does anyone know where i can find technical product sheets for these said deka 4 injectors? (60lb/hr) long series.
  7. dont confuse ethanol with methanol. completly differant compound. ethanol is nowhere as corosive as methanol.

  9. hey all, im trying to find the best spraying injector around the 6-700cc/min range? must be a single cone. high or low impedance siemans deka? rochester? bosch ev14 ??? any first hand experiance? cheeres.
  10. yes while its running. and the oring in question is in the filter block.
  11. so, let me guess is it a direct injection petrol motor? the pump is on the cylinder head? might be worth a trip to your local wrecking yard
  12. what your head guy says should be final. id say they would be sized for stock valves. if your running stainless valves then they may need a lick to get the right clearance.
  13. should still make its way into the engine, the only way out is to the main gallery, if you can open the oil cap while its running and see if there is oil splashing around in there, if not then its a problem. so, you replaced the oil filter/cooler assembly? why? no aftermarket oil cooler with hoses? do you now have a remote oil filter? if the hoses are mixed up that can trick the sensor.

  16. with out stepping on to many toes here, 2560-5's coming on at 6500? please. i agree there is something not right. but evan 5000rpm is to laggy. for it to come on at 6500 it should make 850atw, wich im sure it dont. so,, what was the advise from the tuner? get cams and an ebc etc etc. ive got my tuner and ive stuck with them for the last 5 years and have never been let down like this. they arnt gt3240's are they? if so then that would be ok i spose
  17. but when it come to engine combustion chamber/cam set up, its all abit of a black art in this country, only japan and usa seem to be openly sharing there r and d on the net..
  18. what he said you need a 14mm carier with the small bearing. (early datsun something, if anyone knows please fill me in) being a small cover sping diameter youd be best to keep it as os intended. ie r3c fitting kit. about $130 from attomotto, come with carrier and bearing ready to put in
  19. seems to be only used on full tilt motors. ie massive boost and high rpm. ie said motors arnt required to have "as much" torque down low (ie big turbos) so the lower comp whatever it may be, is not at the front of the line in the engines purpose. hope that sheds some light. ie: street. no pad removal,street/race, exhaust removed, full race, both removed. would be a nice trick on a rb30 using 25 pistons and asociated block decking having a full tilt head still with 9 or so comp.

    Cone Forming

    all good, i built it, used a 4x4 piece of hardwood and turned it down on the lathe. cut out ally sheet to taper cone shape, screwed it along the centre line onto the wooden cone, and with lots of bashing with a rubber mallet and finished off with hose clamps and more hammering, its all good with no dings.
  21. once the engine is started its all over. can be lucky. but if you hear a knock. all bad.

    Cone Forming

    not sure you all know, but i dont have tarsan grip to bent 1.6 into a 1" circle. and the ends dont need to be perfect as there will be a 1cm gap the length of it.
