  1. so it doesnt click? have you had it out? got the earth strap on the block?????????
  2. interesting.. with you plans.. throw the rising rate fpr in the bin.. and put the stock one back on. use a 044 intank. or better use the stock one to feed a surge tank with an 044. ive used a 040 intank in the standard position in the tank and it cavitated its arse off. would not work once the fuel heated up. id use a non air flow meter ecu such as a haltech plug in e11 etc etc. you will need to get some 550cc injectors at a min.. 740's or 1000's would be better. what ex housing did you use? and what ex manifold?
  3. whats your experiances with the single vs multi hypertune ones paul? i know from a tuning stand point single is easier as you can use map as the main load input. where as multi the tps is the preferd main load input. having said that, with tps you cant change your boost as you like as its the fuel map which is controled by the tps input.. ie. turn it down it will run rich or turn it up it will run leaner.... but if you have a ecu that uses air flow meters it doesnt matter. i have driven the missus car and its got a greedy plenum with 90mm throttle body and its very doey down low. and doesnt seem to be as crisp on and off the throttle and at small thottle openings.
  4. hahahah stevo. single ftw oh, pitty you have the stock manifolds. making a balance pipe could be a drama. a single butterfly inlet manifold would help alot. (more vacume to keep the bovs open...) my 2c ps.. you should try 2510 turbos.. uber shuffle.
  5. i believe they folow this way to avoid confusion when FINE TUNING. the car must be part setup to undergo this way..
  6. might have to pull it out and see. it may have a broken diaphram spring... or nothing at all. but the fact its not disengaging when hot is an issue.. your clutch fluid is ok? if you can see if there is any freeplay on the clutch fork. should be somewhere in the front half of the hole in the gearbox and not be hard up against slave cylinder.
  7. id recomend a coushioned one. unless you are a dedicated drag racer.... i prefer the extreem clutches over excedy. from a ware and instalation point. eitherway it will shudder.
  8. any details on this shaft? is it a tailshaft?
  9. yes. annas has the above specs and does not breath much at all. 25pound no dramas. 20,000km and going strong.
  10. sounds fine to me aslong as its not loose. (if it is to tight it will gall up and f**k the crank and the balancer) and yes. molly lube is good for the bolt and the crank snout. dont use locktite on the thread!
  11. autronic ftw ps.. hows that anti lag working? does it work?
  12. piston to bore: 3-4thou top ring 15thou second ring 17thou cant remember oil rings.. the cp recomended ring gaps are to big!!
  13. has anyone ever done water injection into the ex manifold to aid spool up?
  14. well, does it slide over the crank? if it only get like a few mil on then stops its ok. tension is 400nm~ odd. big bar and you can feel the bolt start to stretch its the right tension..(use grease on the bolt head/washer)
  15. any updates yet?
  16. got pics? what size is it? what material is it?
  17. so rips. how have you overcome the oil pump breakages?
  18. yeah. should be all there from your microtech.. just make sure its at 0.4v at idle. oh and when you tune it is it going as map or throttle for the main load input?
  19. cool just so long as the fork is in the front half of the hole in the gearbox youl be ok. oh, make sure its got the long pivot ball on the box..
  20. ok cool. yeah thats how i do it. but its not smooth sailing all the time. espessialy 1st-2nd up change... perhaps the dogs are abit second hand.
  21. yes. if its a rb30 turbo flywheel... it will have a 240mm clutch plate. so yes all the same. fj20et ,sr20det ,rb20.25.26det all the same clutch plate.
  22. yeah, grease is the best way. especily if its rooted. i fine a 1/2" extension fits good inside it. pack it with grease and hit it with a hammer hard. might take a few gos but it will come out
  23. for a well modified engine running 20~ pound boost. 1.5 times boost is common. only really big turbos can achieve a 1:1 ratio or better. it can be seen when its building up.. simply the engine will stop making power with more boost if its backing up.
