  1. yeah. i have run a os twin, nismo twin, both damperd. nismo tripple and a r3c os. all without issue untill the power rose. my frst one(route6 ) stripped the input shaft gear.when changing to 3rd. and the second standard gearbox smashed all the teeth of 3rd after ONE QUICK change.

  3. yeah, i had 300awkw for 18 months no dramas. re-tuned to 376 and smashed 2 of them within a month. got a ppg now. so ya a os gearset is the go. and since yours is a s3 you dont need to get the upgrade parts from nissan. it will be cheaper in the long run. they are about 2.5k for the set. with the input shaft.
  4. oh, and while i was inspecting the gearbox, the bolt for the 5th shift fork was loose :s and i made a spacer for the 5th gear bearing. so if the circlip moves the gear wont is that what you meant russ?
  5. has anyone read the temp the oil gets up to? my boss (used to be the x-trac guy in aus) says the straight cut gears heat it up alot.. also ive got the box in,(straight cut) man it was a hard week of learning how to shift at low rpm but ive got it pretty well down. basicly having a pause between each up shift then quickly engaging it. and rev matching on down shifts.( almost broke my hand a few times when my concentration slipped) no thud or bauking. but having the standard tailshaft and a relativly heave os r3c clutch doesnt help... il e getting a 1 piece molly one from uas i think, as mines got heaps of play in the joints and damn its loud when changing fast at low revs a big ting/thud can be had if the revs dont match. but one thing i found is my hand can go faster then my feet. so perfecting changes is still abit off yet lol.
  6. lol.
  7. cool thats for that russ. il look into the whole circlip issue. ps.. that a common s15 issue aswell.
  8. if its to confusing.. get it from nissan. or take the advise from awell known performance workshop
  9. interesting.. so where is the oil pissing out of?

  12. yah.. haha for the life of me i dont know why they rust out there. leaking brake hoses from factory???
  13. hrmm. interesting. i was using jeof fear from sss's knoledge base. anyone with a facelift manual care to pop the bonet to see? and only turbo r30s come with the r200. the rest is r180.
  14. like does it just stop all together. or does it just loose heaps of power? what coil you using? your electronic igntion, are you sing the "electronic" type coil or the origonal one?
  15. yeah 320+degree cams etc etc. os head would be awsome. but then again.. (dont shoot me) just do a rb30/26 i want someone to build a rb30/26 with 13:1 comp and huge cams for some 400hp+ na power
  16. they are a really reliable good car they need to use premium petrol. and should get a full service once you get it. the interia is pretty durable. getting it detailed is a good idea. being a non turbo you can get away with an oil change every 7-10000kms. using a good synthetic 10w-40 type oil.
  17. and adam.. whats your avatar off? i like
  18. see steve, well done? there is your problem

(i bought a ppg and while im inspecting it id like to replace any dodgy factory bits that could give trouble down the road.) cheeres dave
