  2. no you dont. its revs. more revs more presure. and if this is off the factory guage it isnt acurate. if not its because the oil is thinner and has less pressure as a result.
  3. then again some dickhead probably locktited it.
  4. you need a big screwdriver. put it in 4th. and put the screwdriver between the uni joints. and undo the crank pully. if its not a gtr a ordonary breaker bar will do. as the tension is only 180nm. not 460nm like on a 26.
  5. if its a turbo z32 diff you will have to change it to a 33gtr diff. cos they use gtr driveshafts.
  6. in any case its actually the diff casing thats differant. the sensor goes in the pinion shaft area i think. if its a later one its got the two sensors on each stub axle. the abs aint going to work without them hooked up. you will have to have a look undernieth the car around the diff and try and find the sensors dangling or the plugs. determining if its got the pinion sensor or the two sensors on the diff cover.
  7. hrmmmm. short of changing to the late spec parts. you are going to have to hunt around the gearbox reconditioners for the apropriate bits. or buy a smashed one in hope the selector sleaves anrnt all burred up
  8. no. im not a fan. but yeah. they change the pivot point in the clutch. you will probably find it takes up heaps high and releases heaps low?
  9. wich country? the nissan oil would be matic-d penrite have released a synthetic 70 weight oil specificly for fibre synchro equipped cars. aka t56 tremec etc etc. is this for the actual gearbox or the transfer case?
  10. nissan rings are the best. bearings are all much the same so long as the clearances are ok. ie 2-2.5 thou on the mains and 1.5-1.7 thou on the bigends. standard pistons with 1.3-1.8 thou piston to bore clearance. from the sounds of it its got busted ringlands. but pull the pistons out and have a look.

  12. exacly. the twin hole injectors are slower to respond usualy.
  13. use the timing light corectly.(thru the wire loop at the back near the ignitor) or get a new timing light. they usualy have no issues picking it up. worst case the cas could be rooted and or the spline in the camshaft is gone.
  14. she does look pretty sad. hows the bores. any scratches? how was it running prior to pulling it down? and was it smoky? there is a lot of oil in all the cylinders from the look of things. did you do a comp test? doesnt look like a burnt valve. more like 300000k old motor gunk build up.
  15. haha tru tru. it feels the same but just fatter. goes alot better. still 375awkw aint bad. i think theres some power hiding in the valve lift or lack there of. thats on the backburner now. as my route 6 gearset exploded.
  16. i think given that the powerfc is tuned via a direct ms input i think. it uses the lag time to acuratly compinsate for the injector.. ie. injector takes .5ms to open. so given a 2ms comand it will only efectivly be open for 1.5ms.. not 2ms. where as if you adjust the power fc to the .5ms lag time it will automaticly add the lag time to the comand so you get a full 2ms fuel injection point. make sence? and as far as im aware the powerfc doesnt have a injection end angle adjustment. summing up. the lag time adjustment simply adds this time to the injection time per event.

  18. you can do them in the car. (the more rooted they are the easier.) remove the diff. with a hacksaw blade cut the bush steel jacket threw. then bang them out with a hammer. the new ones will be able to be banged in.

  20. any takers at all? reason for selling was upgraded to 1000's for expected big power.
  21. you cant change how quick they open. doesnt matter if its a power fc or a 12v battery.
  22. seriously bushit power. one very eficant engine you got there. im clearly doing something wrong..... 376awkw on 1.6bar with t04z .84split rear. poncam 260/9.15 mild port job. (around the valve seat area) 90mm staight through exhaust. smc autronic 900cc injectors. should be making more??

  25. yeah. 315awkw it was sweet! for 18months did an 11.3@122 got a retune to 376awkw it exploded a week later. (input shaft gear. it haD a route six gearset) time for me to revise my driving style.
