  2. f**k you guys are dickheads. he may be careless and stupid. but you guys having cheapshots at him are just plain old loosers ps. love the sign but
  3. the preload is irelavent. its the ramp angle wich determins how hard it locks up. id go for the lighter one. also the shallower the ramp angle the harder it locks up. (more leverage)
  4. no they wont. so long as you set them up with the apropriate lobe centre valve timing that jun sugests. then check with placticine on the pistons (dummy asemble) etc etc
  5. any takers?
  6. AHAH WOOT. happy birthday hun
  7. umm. leaving him to drive off was the bigest mistake. perhaps in 6 months time you will get $10 a week till its paid up. its f**ked. but on the brighter note. if he was insured. he didnt return a blood alchahol reading so his insurance wont be void. but yeah this sort of thing is just best to get it fixed and move on. sucks to here dude.
  8. oh. ps.. with the parts in hand it takes about 30 mins to r and r and with a quick backlash check.
  9. yeah thats goood. i threw out all my little nismo bags with the part numbers. the main advantage is the factory setup only has 1 friction disc conecting the case to the axle. so the problem is not it being to loose. but it actually stripping the said single friction disc. so the "upgrade" adds an aditional 2 driven discs on each side. so going fron 2 to 6 driven discs makes them much more durable. putting in these upgrade discs is a piece of cake. but YOU HAVE TO THROW AWAY THE THICK SPACER at the end of each side. the extra plates make up the diferance. so putting this set in your standard diff makes it a "nismo 2 way" the nismo one you buy complete it just this.
  10. yeah if there dirty. they will loosen. if there are coroded you could break the collar. you will have to pull them out and stick them on the bench to get at it all.
  11. hey guys just wondering what the limits are for standard rb26 valve springs. like what revs/boost do they float at? ps.. i know the lift limit. but just wondering. so no info on cams please
  12. one thing i dont get is.. all the machining etc etc. lining up the gasket etc.. just how much oil do you think will have to "build up" to flow down the standard oil drains. all 18 of them. i rekon mayby 2-300ml at most.. i mean its all a good idea but is it really that efective? has anyone done any tests to back this up? like on a circuit car with the standard sump with and without the drain? or is blowby the issue here, where it all blows up the oil returns slowing the return of oil back to the sump?
  13. oh icic. if your drifting it. id strongly sugest not going past 7500. and using a ati harmonic balancer would be a good investment.
  14. its not the redline. its the rev limiter wich kills it. it will have issues if your over 8k for an extended time. aslo keeping oil in it is important. standard yuo WILL get oil surge by just accelerating flat out in 1st.
  15. all depends on what your "high boost" setting will be. i had a 1.5mm one in my dr30 (rb26) it made 328rwkw on 1.2 bar. going 1mm oversise and using a 1.5mm gasket will give standard comp. using a standard gasket thickness with a overbore will raise it.
  16. what car do you have competing????
  17. backpressure is going to be the limiting factor. ie turbine wheel. and sky30. 510 on 1.2bar? nthats pretty decant power. what are the mods to the motor?. (apart from 3L) im only just getting that on 1.6bar on mr rb26 :s
  18. 1.5 is 38mm. add the 6mm or 8mm (depending on what shedule) of combined wall thickness and its 44 or 46mm od.
  19. id like to see a vernier mesuring that. those manifolds use 1.5" id thickwall stainless.
  20. you have to remember the exhast housing is the restriction. not the runner. so the quicker it gets there the less lag you will have with no sacrfice at top end.
  21. 58 are you serouse!!! same size as the port mate. thats lag city. 1.5"at the largest if its making 1400hp. if not 1.25" id.
  22. yeah there not polarity sensative. its a solidoid. on or off. and a coil. so ya. dont matter.
  23. rod bolts are an issue. pistons are ok... but you wont be able to take any detination at all at that power leval.
