  1. cant mix and match girdles. end of story. if using studs. tunnel bore is needed. most lock up with studs.
  2. himni racing. 840usd...+ shipping. full race wanted 999 at the time i purchased.
  3. need 300zx flywheel bolts. shorter. about 85-90mn. nismo kit comes with everything.
  4. ps. last time i checked 4" 304. not 316, 90 degree bends were 40-50 each
  5. ps. i didnt plumb them in. instead i used some motorbike hotdogs. 2" od pipe with 1.5" inside diameter. like a small muffler. takes the edge of heaps. still loud but not ear piercing.
  6. wastegates. marman clamp. the pipe fits into it/pipe is the locator.. so you can have a nice big lip to locate with instead of shitty 1/2mm or so you get with machined v-bands.
  7. went in pretty good. wastegates are a pain. ps.. make sure you check what springs are in them. i orderd mine with 0.7bar springs. i pulled them apart, one had 0.9bar springs and the other had 4 springs in it... almost took my head off when i poped the top off... 9179 on 6 boost, 3.5" exhaust. twin tial mvr44, spooling at 3k. straight to limiter by 4500-5k throwing p/s belts of... sounds awsome.
  8. well ive done a few. to do a nice dump pipe easy 4 hours. plumbing the wastegates in will take longer. massive pain in the ass. try and build the system using "marman" style v bands. heaps easier to work with and can take alot more tollerance for miss alignment. the dump and screamer pipes are easy. its just getting the things plumbed into the dump pipe wich is a pain. especialy if you have little v-band wastegates. absolute cok to get on and off with the hinge type clamps. i know first hand as i just did a 6boost with twin mvs-44 tials. borg warner 9179. on my girlfriends car rb25 r33.. just no room to move. depending where the gates are mounted will dictate how much swaring is involved.
  9. and besides i have a brand spanking new 370z gearbox sitting on my gararge floor.
  10. i had a perfectly good ppg 5 speed for that. but the 3.69:1 front diff ratio is the hurdle. if there was a 4.11 availabe id go awd straight of the bat. yes they will. 240/250mm cluches are interchangable. so using a 300zed clutch you will be all good.
  11. so in a nut shell, dont skimp on quality when it comes to maintanance......
  12. yes, but not awd at this stage. dont have the cash to cut up a r34getrag to see if i can adapt it..
  13. exhausts are an issue. extra cat converters etc etc. i know witht he old 300zx z32 they are differant. but i would guess the basic mounting is the same. headers etc etc are an issue. if in dought just get canada spec bits. (rhd)
  14. also putting a borg warner 9179 on my gf rb25 atm so been abit busy.
  15. yes, just waiting for parts. also cant decide what ecu to go with. the hr electric magnetic retarder exhaust vtc and 4 cam sensors seems to be abit of an issue. being a 2008 engine youd think that someone apart from motec has the software to run it propperly.
  16. old thread, but 380kw was at 11.5-12:1 afr. (after head gasket poped, standard cast pistons like new, zere detonation and no hot spots. the actual stoich of e85 is like 9:1 afr, but after adding the extra fuel to achieve the same afr as 98ron on the wideband it is at the correct stoich if that makes any sense.
  17. i know! hard choice. those in the pic are 18x10.5 +15 from memory. but i want 17's. i also found some other wheels that look tough. TEDDY BEAR RACING!
  18. 17 for the win. im looking in to it aswell. low profile tyres are the suck in imop. just a shame you cant get anything wider then 255 in 17's here atm.
  19. wow. they are some oold calipers. being lug mount makes them as good as usless. and from the look of them its sub 300mm disc fitment. front application.
  20. nismo or some other "slightly larger than stock" pump.
  21. well, from what i have heard, the gt30 variant is better, more power with less lag. i only know them as the 49,51 and 53mm comp inducers. the tiny little gt28 turbine is a major bottle neck. much like the older gt2540r. on a s15, the 51mm aka -10. came on at 3800, changed to gt3071 same comp wheel, came on at 3300. and made more power. so if you are thinking of getting one, get the gt3071. great turbo.
  22. rotary drum pump.
