  1. 2.5 litres for the diff???????? damn. is it the truck version lol. should be 1.4 litres. and 2.4 in the gearbox. saf-xa is a very good oil for diffs. motul gear 300 is ok. i use redline heavy in my gearbox. penrite syn atf in the atessa and power steer. (it dont boil) penrite syn diff oil. sae140 gl6 awsome diff oil. does not break down like the synthetics do in a hypoid. and penrite syn15-40 engine oil. again very good stuff. and penrite syn brake fluid. dont boil either and isnt $100/litre thankyou v8 brute ute sponsership account
  2. usually its the first to do.. as if its siezed or you dont have the tools then its all back togeather and on a towtruck to a worhshop
  3. and if the master is adjusted corectly it shold gravity bleed. (dribble out the slave) iff not back it off abit till it does. dont get impatant and wind in the master for "more stroke" cos it wont work
  4. still got air in it. to save you the obviouse headache. you need to bypass the loop thingy. putting it simply you undo the steel pipe from the master and hook it directly to the clutch hose. (delicate bending reqired) you will have it done in no time:)
  5. yeah. im a mechanic. but couldnt be assed lol. so you rekon its input shaft bearing? only one way to find out i spose :S rego the laser and pull it down
  6. yeah. remove the x member. so you can rotate it about 30 degrees. it will go in. the straighten it up and give it a wiggle and it should slide in. (if youve aligned the clutch propperly.) to make it easier get someone to lever the engine down by the dump pipe.
  7. pascals law. pressure is equal. but its the non boost condition where they show there short comings
  8. heres the costs. timing belt. 95 coolant 25 waterpump 75 sealant 10 and roughly about 2hours labour @88/hr so.. wich is $381 not making any money on parts. so 400-500 is on the money and for those workshops only doing all the above for 250 there loosing money so unless you give good head or something its way to cheap
  9. hahah yeah. i used to do all the timing belts for north shore prestige. while i was at envy. thats what we used to charge them 300 for a belt change. using a genuine belt. (there the cheapest)
  10. haha. jeah. oil leaks are anm issue lol. rust protection i say. but thats just 240000km of love and no i dont its stock. but when i had my dr30 with a 26 in it and the baffel (tomie) i had these issues.
  11. the reason there are such thick ones is for drag racing wher the sheer mass of the things is where the cooling happens. rather than relying on a volume of air going thu it.(still gos thru) interesting note. on our race supra. it had a 700x300x76 cooler in it. 22 row. it used to overheat. so.. we cut it inhalf. to make a 700x150x76 core. 11 row. now it doesnt overheat and made NO DIFERANCE to inlet tmps on the track.
  12. haha lol. yeah go with the thinner one. it wont overheat on the track as much.and besides a thinner one will have more air going thru it so it probably will work the same lol.
  13. all there but you need to spend time with the cam timing. and about 1.8 bar boost should give you it. but the gt35 dont have the same turbo rush as a good ol t04. slightly less lag but when they come on its just not as exciting. and in saying that i mean its got less torque with the same boost. id sugest getting a t04z with a .84 split ex housing. much better than a 35r. wich is a good 2-3 sizes smaller. on my 2.6 its all on hard by 4500 (1.5bar) with good boost building from 3250. its got the good kick of a good strong turbo and isnt boring. youl find it will have about the same responce as your current set up.
  14. put a fuel pressue guage on it. then send me the chocholates ehe
  15. 040 fuel pump is the issue. i guarentee it
  16. hrmm. yeah pics on how its hooked up would be helpfull.
  17. where do you find that!!! what do you type in??
  18. if you have an AFTERMARKET oil pressure guage either mechical or eletric you will see exacly how bad it is.
  19. OH. and thats cos i actully look at the aftermarket oil pressure guage when cornering hard. namly left handers.
  20. nothey dont lol. read 2 LITRES EXTA OIL NEEDED TO STOP SURGE AT WAKIE.
