  2. you can get adjustable thermostats (which i have on my rx7) have them set at a higher temp to come on later then in summer have them come on a bit earlier for the traffic
  3. just about to fit a walbro intank pump, 255 litre, should I expect any problems with standard fuel regulator and injectors? I wouldnt have thought so because the reg still controlls the pressure, just wondering if anybody has had a problem?? cheers
  4. mine did this aswell mate, scary stuff, with a standard steering wheel and a full fluid level, I just disconnected the pump at the back of the car and all head aches are gone
  5. something like a davies craig 16" fan should flow near enough, one of these flow more than 2 x 12" fans, might be worth a look
  6. as i understand, radiator caps have that releif of pressure for a reason(to keep the pressure to a safe level in your engine) to save head gaskets and hoses, they are meant to bleed coolant into the overflow bottle and then suck it back when the engine cools down. othewise the coolant level would be to low when cold and there would be no reason for an overflow bottle at all
  7. if the oil that you drained out of the engine is thicker than the replacement oil it will let the turbo spin more freely, hence, boost quicker
  8. I Use This Oil In My Car, Alot Better Than The Oil That Was In IT When I Got It, Turbo Spools Quicker And Still Looks Good After A Couple Of Thousand Kays
  9. Cooper ones are good and when on special are only about 3-$4 from autobarn. Valvoline ones arent that good, there's an arrticle on the net somewhere that a guy did, he cut apart a whole heap of filters and compared them for 5000km etc ! I cut apart a cooper once to see the quality of construction - it seemed pretty good! Nissan one are about $8-$10 I think. DONT USE COOPERS, MAKES YOU OIL PRESSURE DROP DOWN TOO LOW COMPARED TO OTHER FILTERS THIS HAS BEEN PROVEN ON OTHER MAKES AND MODELS
  10. no dyno run yet, trying to eliminate as many things as possible at the moment, do you think faulty a/f meter could cause it to run lean?
  11. i have a miss also with ces split dump and full 3" exhaust wirh apex hybrid front mount and bmc air filter in standard air box, fitted splitfires and it made it idle better but still runs soft alot of the time, still holds full boost and sounds ok just running at about 40% power output, running boost @ 0.85 bar 0.8 plug gap with coppers, also seems worse in the wet or very cold anybody??????

  21. I Thought Rb20's Ran 10psi Standard And Vg30's Ran 7psi? Its Running Higher Boost Because Of The Air Filter And Ces Dump Pipe With Full 3" Mandrel Exhaust We I Say Cruising I Mean Daily Driving At Low Speeds I Have Heard Of People Doing The Opposite And Puting The Vg30 One On The Rb20 To Raise Boost.
