Where Did You Mount Your Oil Cooler?
Habler replied to coaster's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I mounted mine in pretty much the same spot as you coaster. The reason I decided to put it there was because it wasnt long/rectangle like the one posted up. It was more square so wouldnt have fitted in the grill. Also the front bar has a cutout in it facing directly onto the oil cooler which made sense since it would be getting its fair share of cold air. Didn't like the idea of clustering up my radiator area with it either as it already has a front mount in its way as well. A mate helping installing it had also done the same and it had worked well. The first oil cooler i had in there was second hand and started leaking from what i think was stress on the bent adaptor so i replaced it with a setrab!!! fantastic quality. Well worth the extra coin. HKS relocator + earls/speedflow fittings + Setrab cooler = great kit! http://www.setrab.com/index.php?id=17 http://www.bakerprecision.com/setrab.htm -

Round 2 Of The Vicdrift Series At Winton
Habler replied to warwick's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Do you drive a green 4 door? I have seen it there before in the carpark. -
Sounds like your local auto stores are dropkicks. I have purchased these hoses from them before - unless "city" stores don't stock piping nor order it in. Do as Craved said. Or alternativly take the piping into a workshop and get them to match some up.

Is This Normal? Engine Revs A Bit When Turning Steering Wheel
Habler replied to Wacky Dee's topic in General Maintenance
Yeah, It's got to pump all the power steering around. -
Any automotive store will do them. Nissan is overpriced on a lot of items unless your getting the parts for cost. Just go to a repco/ autopro/ autobahn even a workshop and they will be able to help you out. Most workshops will have it there for reasonable prices.

Any other SAU members coming to this? -
http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Lo...ops-t13305.html there is a quick list all though it could do with an update. Don't base your idea that because 26's are worth more that they will be in better condition

Never had a 32 with hicas but its not the hicas computer is it? Just a theory

When you go to turn your car on instead of cranking it for 5 seconds let it prime for 5 seconds (with the 040 you should hear it finish priming after about 5 seconds) then crank. If this works fine than nothing is wrong. The fuel pump just needs time to prime the fuel up. A lot of aftermarket pumps will work like this. Correct me if I am wrong but stock pumps (and some aftermarket ones) have anti-drain back vavles meaning the fuel does not need to be primed up and will crank straight away. As for noise, as said by nuclear, 90% of the time it's installed badly.

Removing The Rear Seat R33
Habler replied to gtrzilla's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Two bolts (one each side) at the bottom of the rear seat. Undo them, pull the seat (bottom half) up and it will dislodge from two tight plugs (may require a big jolt to pull them out). Pull that out of the way. Two or three bolts holding the top half of the seat down the bottom where you have removed the other part of the seat. Undo them and pull it up out. Parcel shelf you carefully pull out (dont forget to unplug speakers). I dont think there is any bolts from memory just plugs that pop out. Its very simple but just make sure you have un-done all bolts before trying to pop the plugs. -
If you like your rear alignment changing as you drive i guess its fine to just unplug it You can not just simply unplug them. Do not do this. You will need to replace the bar with a hicas lock out bar, change cradle or get a tomei hicas lock kit (which is just washers to stop the hicas working) as said above.

Revving Problem That Can't Be Diagnosed So Far...
Habler replied to Slapstik's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
spark plugs?.... lots of possibilites.. -
If you have been driving a mazda 3 the GT will feel like a huge upgrade without the turbo. If it really doesn't worry you that much i would suggest getting yourself a non-turbo. In the ownership of the car you will save huge amounts of money and still enjoy the experince of owning a great car. Cheaper insurance Less oil changes Better fuel consumption (huge $$$ these days) Lower initial purchase price An upgrade to the suspension and some nice rims will have you a good looking, handling car with enough power to enjoy a spirited drive. But if you know your going to just get bored of the power than a turbo is the only way to go. Just relise that even a stock turbo will become boring eventually and this usually leads to more money needing to be spent on the turbo car... creating a money pit

This is covered lots in past threads. Simple answer.... Get some GTR suspension. Two different cars that require two different suspension set-ups.

Have you thought about going to a tuner who can safely tune your car? Obviously its great that you have tried it yourself but running it lean because your not sure of what your doing could have some nasty results.

Ford territory rims = cheap, decent width, okish offset for drift. -
Tein Super Street Coilovers
Habler replied to Antone's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Roy im just basing legal/illegal on that Fulcrum advised me over the phone that "only the Australian super street coilover is legal for Australian Roads" and they didn't want to sell me any other coilover for street use. I am basing that the bilstein system (group buy shocks etc) are legal because I'm pretty sure Sydney Kid has stated that some where on here and im sure he would have a pretty good idea. I might not be right hence why i said - not 100% sure. If anyone is worried about the legal issues of running an aftermarket shock/spring system they would be advised to research the issue with vicroads or their local transport office. No one should take what is typed on a forum as "legal specifications". -
There is a beginners section at most drift days where you can spin as much as you want. Also calder park hold beginner days. visit vicdrift website for more info.

rb20-rb25 are defintly the same so both should have fitted. All i can think of is that you didn't install it right or you have a different gearbox. Post pics.
