  1. My moutain bike fits easily in the back of my r33 4 door with front wheel quick released off. I really dont like sitting a dirty bike in the back though so since i have a removable towbar i have the option of my bike rack. My mate fits his in the back of his r32 4 door pretty simple as well. I havnt tryed to put one in a 2 door but that just sounds like something is going to end up scratching paint and ripping seats... As POLICE said there is no way one would fit in the boot without removing both wheels... And if your going to do that you might as well just get a towbar and just unbolt it when its not in use.
  2. Sorry my mistake, i thought i remembered it being an impul not autech and thats why i was shocked at the price. But yeah....
  3. I'm with Mr fanny defintly worth seeing if your car is as rusted down there as the wedge!
  4. It's a safer asking price than that one that was on EBAY for $80,000.....
  5. Weld it up
  6. ahahahah I'm starting to think blind_elk is actually some what blind!!
  7. It could be a faulty guage or even a faulty sender. Make sure the wiring is ran properly and not touching on anything that could cause a bad signal. But if i had to take one guess i would think its just all crap. Try a defi
  8. Sorry guys but all this hydro talk is useless as he has a r33. Its electronic!
  9. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Te...op-t193401.html He does not stock them for R32. Still will have to be ordered. I would also try getting a price down at your local Repco as i know they can order them in and you might not have to go through the what can be a horror of Nengun.
  10. To my small knowledge Tomei do not make lock bars.. only the lock kit as posted on ebay. So it's pretty much two shims to stop the hicas bar moving and a electrical box to trick the computer into thinking the hicas is still working to prevent hicas light coming on etc etc Personally i went the "chuck the hicas out" method and put a lock bar in place (think i payed around $40 for it off here???) because i didnt want to pay $170 for the tomei one. Also got rid of useless weight (hicas is heavy) and just took the hicas globe out..... Since you have an R33 replacing with a lock bar is easy and you dont have to worry about hydro lines like on a 32 where a tomei lock kit might be an easier option!
  11. We had a cop WRX in our small town a few years back. It didnt last long thanks to teh po-po stacking it into a drain on a random dirt road way out of town!!!! The actual report was that he was chasing a hoon....
  12. My mates does the same thing... Just always assumed it was the TPS. Im guessing the IAC and TPS could be the same thing
  13. I have the same diff and i have never heard a "squealing noise"..... Apart from what turboedsloth said, i do get wheel squeal due to the diff locking them around tight corners. Was the diff installed properly? If so all i could suggest is replacing the diff oil and maybe having an inspect.
  14. Firstly - Yes Nismo do make mechanical diffs - 1 way, 1.5 way and 2 way. Secondly- that link you supplied doesnt seem to work for me....
  15. Is victoria too far? My mate has a - non turbo auto 4 door going cheap! But its in Victoria
  16. You are better off buying one from Nissan for $80 new. R32 cables have a habit of breaking and putting another second hand cable in could mean your under the car having to change it again in 6 months. In the long run you'll save money buying new.
  17. Here is my girlfriend’s Silvia that she has decided to sell due to upgrading. She is the first owner in Australia and has owned it for around 4 years. The car was purchased at 22,000 km’s and now only has 71,000 km’s. It was imported in 100% original condition with nothing changed since factory. Skeptics of the km’s only need to look at the mint, un-touched conditioned interior and spotless, healthy engine to see that this Silvia is genuine. It has been minor serviced religiously every 5,000km’s and fully serviced regularly. 1989 Nissan Silvia CA18DET 1.8 litre turbo Manual 71,XXX km’s Two tone silver and grey Rego ends in May RWC Located in Western Victoria $6800ono Factory options/ Standard accessories- Digital head’s-up speedo All electrics (windows, side mirrors, etc) Sunroof Parking aerial light 107km chime After-market parts- Japanese 16 x 7” rims (good tyres) 3” X-Force cat-back exhaust GReddy turbo timer Lowered struts and springs Clear headlights Purple painted rocker covers Sound system- Pioneer MP3 head unit Infinity front speakers JVC rear speakers Head Gasket and Timing Belt have been changed Stock CA Silvia rims that came on the car can also be thrown in as well as mud flaps and stock gear knob! The standard CA Silvia spoiler will come on the car (not as per photos). The bad- Unfortunately when the Silvia was imported it was scraped on one side by the transporters. The paint also has small scratches/ scuffs and would be considered rough in a few areas. The car has a dented front quarter/ cracked front bar due to a rub with another car and has been band-aid fixed for the time being. It has no affect on the drivability of the car itself and could be left like this or fixed depending on purchasers intentions. Obviously the exterior is not in show condition and does not represent how immaculate and original the rest of this Silvia is. I can most easily be contacted via email on [email protected] for a phone number to call. I can send further required information and pictures to genuinely interested buyers. Tyre kickers/ time wasters need not email as I’m not interested in low balling offers by kids with no money. Thank you.
  18. YOUR SELLING IT!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT THE HACHI
  19. How much for the rear floor monkey bar?
  20. I dont know enough about the Impul models to help you but i would have guessed they would have had some sort of after market exhuast on them from factory. So this could mean you are spending quite a bit of money on upgrading an exhuast that is flowing great anyway. Might be worth looking further into (im sure someone on here will be able to tell you). As for a tougher sound - simple answer is 3" turbo back with minimal mufflers will give you a loud throaty sounding exhuast and be well and truly big enough. *please post pics of your impul up!!!!!!
  21. jimmy- I am not sure, thats why i have posted it on here.... sshonky- Nah its not a plastic plug. Its mainly made of metal and a bit of rubber and weighs quite a bit for some thing of its size. The steering feels fine as stated in the first post. So i dont think it can be too important... Well at least i hope.
  22. Ok, i posted up a problem with my steering wheel being turned and setting the horn off a few weeks back. I finally got around to getting the car into an Auto Elec and the problem was as one would predict. A part had broken off in the steering wheel and was shorting the horn. Now, the part is out, the car is working as per normal but this... umm.. weight i guess is no longer in my steering and i am wondering if anyone knows what it does and if it is needed. Like i said the car seems to be driving fine and the guys at Nissan had never seen one before and suggested just keep driving it. My guess- a weight of some sort for centering the steering?
  23. I dont think my car felt "different" as much as just slightly less twitchy when hicas is meant to working. Saying that i also chucked in a diff at the same time so it was hard to tell what made the car feel less twitchy.
