how is a 4 door 34 considered rare? Non-turbo 4 doors are everywhere. Your car is never going to see over 180km's so why bother wasting money on a mod to look cool? I suppose if your mentality towards your car is like that than i would also suggest installing a boost guage aswell On a more serious note, by the time you pay $100-$600 to get some guage replacements and then pay someone to put them in for you since you dont want to do it yourself (more $$$ for labour) you would have been better off saving some cash for a nice kit to make your car look nice.. Also i have seen people puts those aftermarket dials in and the speedo just ends up reading up shit creek and the el cheapo ones dont always fit as well as the seller tells you! End of the day. Your choice man but by the response on here should hint what a waste it would be. Ch

If your missing an oil temp sensor for one of your guages i think i might have it sitting here It was still in the oil cooler when i got it off the ceffy. I think someone forgot to take it out! Yell out if your in need of it....

finding a decent mechanic might be a good start.... You would think the first guy could have picked up on things like split vacum hoses and idle revs being too high? "Now, I understand I should have had the car checked out before I bought it, I admit it's my own stupid fault." Its always worth the extra bit of cash now than in the long run. I bet your more than happy its not the motor at fault though!

simple answer- no your not crazy, mine has a towbar... Would i tow a 16 foot ski boat? HELL NO..... maybe a dingy but not a ski boat. There is previous threads on this, just search and you should find.

They both run the exact same engine etc and i think there is only a 40kg difference between the two models????? but i could be corrected on that (do a search!) so fuel consumption is very unlikely to change. Note that ive seen RB25's running terrible and only get 200kms to the tank while mine gets closer to 400kms. So its more about mods/tune and the engine itself. Im unsure with other companies but Just cars (from memory) charged me more for my NA r32 coupe than they do for my r33 4 door. There could be different reasons for this but i always suspected having 4 doors helped. I cant imagine the handling being any different between the two models considering they use the same setup. But then again i cant fully comment since i have not had a coupe on a track. Chance are if your going to the track your not going to run stock suspension anyway so you'll be free to set up the car to handle how ever you want! If your going to start modifying the car stock comparisions start becoming irrelevant anyway. 4 door manuals are a bit on the rarer side which is good you have found one (im assuming) but if you have to make the choice between the two the BIG questions i asked myself were- "will i need the extra room in the back" "is having only two doors going to be a hassle" "is 4 doors going to cause my car to become a taxi for my mates" "do i want something more sporty looking (coupe)" "do i want something a bit more sleeperish"

Same problem - ended up being my spark plugs. But like everyone is saying i was mostly pointed towards faulty coilpacks.

My car is beggining to see more track time and i was curious of how good the stock r33 (series 1 if it is different) radaitor is for keeping the temps down? For example at a drift day you have a solid lap then a small peroid of idle at the start line (sometimes can be from 1 min to 10 mins). Just curious of who still runs there stock radiator on track and how there temps go or wether its worth taking a decent break every so many laps. From what i can see the r33 radiator looks a decent size at standard. Would a good budget upgrade be a GTR upgrade or is this just a waste of time? I think i will purchase a water temp that way i can make my own notes on it..... but until then... I also have a oil cooler going on soon hopefully What is everyones thoughts?

Digital video cameras are now ranging from as low as $300 new even at stores like Harvey Norman etc. You should be able to walk into any good camera store and get what you want easy. As for freindly to use, i would recommend panasonic but im quite bias I also would like to see peoples comments on dvd recording vs mini DV. Sorry to hi jack your thread but what is everyones thoughts?

ok did a bit more research. Is there anyway to tell easily if you have alsd or vlsd... as from what i read alsd are shithouse and seem like a lot of hard work to get rid of. I havnt ever noticed a light on my dash when spinning the wheels (slip light) so i suspect i dont have one. Im preety sure my car doesnt single spin ridiculousy but when sliding it, you really need to give it a shitload to get it to lock up properly which sometimes annoying. Has anyone here replaced there standard diff with a 1.5 way or two..if so do you notice a freakin huge difference? is the 33 diff just that shit?

so... off the topic off stock diffs... can you swap 2 ways out of 32's/silvias into 33's etc or even swap the whole housing? Or is it a matter of after market diffs only fit into what they are in? sorry im just a bit confused of what i should do diff wise for my r33. I think i want to upgrade to either 2 way or 1.5 but paying for a new diff is a bit pricey and i have not seen too many second hand r33 mech diffs popping up. So wondering if i can fit anything else in there? Also...can you pop a GTR diff in there or is this pointless and has no real gains? Sorry to sound stupid but still trying to get my head around the diff area. Also looked into shimming on here and d1NZ but...such mixed results and what starts off costing 10 bucks can end up costing you a lot more in time and effort if it ends up not working or wearing out in two weeks.

So who else has anti-theft loicking doors on their sedan? Im talking about when the car decides to lock all passanger doors when you go over 25kms or so. It pisses me off when you get out of your car after work and then go to grab stuff from the rear only to relise ITS LOCKED! Does anybody know how to get rid of this mechanism?
