JL was standing in for him.

Ford, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota etc 4 stud rims should all do the job. As for putting a turbo on the DE have a search in the non-turbo section on here. There is huge amounts of information from people who have done it and can help you out. I am pretty sure there is even a full walk through.

There was a crazy influx of skyline drivers out there

I think I counted 7 R33's drifting at Winton on the weekend. I don't think it was a case of R33's becoming a more popular drift car but more R33 owners becoming interested in getting sideways instead of just the usual straight track work. It was a refreshing event to see so many different types and styles of cars.

No, all Vicdrift day rules on scrutineering are the same whether it is practice or championship.

Sounds like a few from here are going. Need to get some SAU stickers to represent. Anyone coming that has a stock pile?

The GTIR's had sr20dets so they probably did but the engines are mounted east-west so you would need to change the manifolds etc.

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...bo-t265037.html I hope that answers the question as to why you can not do it. Also, changing the engine also means you have modified the car. Modifications are a big no-no whether they are going backwards or not. "I dont how you would still get fined for something you dont have?????" I have been defected and fined for having a standard air flow meter. Nuff said.

The car is still going to listed as a turbo vehicle whether you have a non-turbo engine in it or not. Changing the engine number will not solve the issue with cops fining you. Putting a sr20de into a originally turbo 180sx is straight fit.

Rays Wheels From Nengun.
Habler replied to xanavinismo's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
You would hope on most new items that the factory would offer warranty on the item. -
There is a beginners section that you can start in Dan and get some practice in before using the full track. The CA will have more than enough power to start off with Guys are out there sliding third gear through the front straights in atmo skylines and 4ac/4ag Ke70's so you should be fine. It might even be wet this time of year which is where the CA will flourish.

Rays Wheels From Nengun.

http://www.nengun.com/info/terms-and-conditions I had a quick browse and could not find any information on them supplying any sort of insurance (it did not mention shipping insurance anywhere either). All I found was that if you do find something is wrong with the item that you will have to notify them with in three days and then proceed to pay the full shipping costs to send the item back. You may also be hit with a 30% re-stocking fee in certain cases. It seems that the only full insurance (covering freight back to them) they offer is if the item they sent you does not match the product number on your order. I am yet to hear of a unhappy customer needing to use this with Streeter. -
AFAIK a L2NS license is used with drift because it is not solely based around being faster. The speeds used on drift days is much slower than those at grip events. The course is broken into sections with slow points that stop the cars from being able to gain the speeds used in grip racing or using the full course. I'm not saying high speeds are not achieved but that the reason it is licensed different to most motor sports is because no lap times are given out, no speeds are recorded and being faster does not equal being the best on the day where as grip racing encourages the driver to go as fast as possible.

Alloy Steering Spacers

ahahah... sounds like I was on the money. So worth the effort? -
What did the 20 make?

Cheaper to get one from a Nissan dealership brand new.

Alloy Steering Spacers
Habler replied to Dean_HR31's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hmm hard to answer. If they know what they are doing I don't see why they couldn't get it done within the hour ($80) but if they put the apprentice on it could end up costing you more. Unless your installing it yourself it starts to seem like a lot of money to just take a bit of slop out of the steering. -
Alloy Steering Spacers
Habler replied to Dean_HR31's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
It just stiffens up the loose feeling through the steering wheel due to old worn out rubber mounts giving a more direct steering feel. I know people have done it and could feel a difference (in old S13's) so for the price its probably not too bad to freshen up the steering but apparently its a shit job putting it in unless you have the gearbox or motor out. Doable, just a shit job. -
R33 Skyline Coilovers
Habler replied to richoiftnfs's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Off the top of my head I think the fronts fit will fit in but not the rears. Maybe someone else can clear this up. Even if they do fit they are not designed for it. Pointless exercise upgrading suspension to only make it worse. -

I think your talking about the rack spacers Nisskid. He is talking about just replacing the factory rubber steering joint with a solid alloy one. It won't change lock. -

Yep, just a few small changes aesthetically since Justin owned it however mechanically it is a different car and will only be changing further. I replaced the bilsteins with buddy club race spec coilovers after attending a few drift days and finding they just did not handle how I wanted when sliding. It's a shame to loose the comfort and handling of the bilsteins for daily use (they are f**ken unreal on the street) but since most things in the car are directed at drift work it made sense. The bilsteins are being kept though because if I stop attending drift days or do some circuit work they will probably go back in.
