From the pics I can spot that the car has an Eclipse Head Unit perhaps CD8061, several U-dimension amps and probably a 1/2 farad cap maybe, and a Focal Utopia 38X Sub. Oh the the stereo was installed by Freeway Car Audio. I would say the stereo probably cost 14k, thats including installation but not the same as what its current worth is. The stereo would be worth about 75% of what was paid for it if lucky. Having said that the 38X has a RRP of $1,500...

Nah GT2530 is too restrictive Morgs you give it too much credit. The GT2835R however is like that cereal, just right.

I agree, Bernie Makhraz at Norwest is a top bloke, don't bother at Parra Lifestyle, they are tools...I can recommend Greg Liebeck at Fairfield Car Radio also, they have been around for over 20 years and are the best IMHO. If you ask Bill nicely he will give you a demo in his daily driver Astra, the cleanest sounding vehicle I have ever heard. FRISKI on these forums runs AKIRA Sound on the Hume Hwy Lansvale, I'm sure he will give you a great deal. Remember you get what you pay for, most places can afford to go to 5-8% on top of cost price, however they do a shit install and you can't trust them...after-sales service is very, very important to me.
