  1. asshole Can you point out to the geniuses that Racing was only available at about 4 servos in Australia so they shouldn't be surprised it had poor market share. My nearest servo was about 25km away so I only ever filled up with it once!! Loved it but way too far to go to fill up with fuel. Forget that now anyway, put my vote in for wider availability of E85. And see if you can get me a photographers pass so I can top last year's photo effort! (yay compact cameras.. no point taking the real one)
  2. it's a numbers game get in enough races and eventually everybody else falls over and you win one. seriously though that is awesome Duncan, been following bits and pieces and it's clear you and many other have put a shit ton of hours into it (not to mention the money) so you must be stoked to get that sweet, sweet victory. congrats to you and the team
  3. icom gear is great. I have an IC40s and honestly the difference beween 1W and 5W isn't as much as you might think, but it is great for when they ask you to repeat yourself you bump it up to high power and get heard. Remember that if the other guy has 500mW then you can't hear him, plus your antenna makes a difference if your radio has a tiny antenna it will have poor range for transmit AND receive. as always buy shit and you end up buying twice. buy quality and enjoy using it.
  4. ^^ boost creep happens with poorly made split dump pipes, the wastegate flap fouls on the separator on the dump. Hence your boost goes UP with RPM. You can't fix boost creep with an EBC, if your wastegate will only half open then boost will go up no matter what the EBC does. You're describing something else, like boost spiking caused by a shitty bleed valve (you set it to 10psi and it spikes to 12psi before settling down to 10).
  5. These exhausts sound very nice and aren't loud at all. VERY happy with mine
  6. yes, they're a good brand.
  7. sweet. Fail sticker going on my co-worker's falcon tomorrow!
  8. that is awesome. I want one.
  9. bent valves and conrods. ps i read the other thread.
  10. sounds like a vacuum leak to me. check your AFM is plugged in properly too.
  11. sounds like some buzzword a mechanic threw at you.. a high flow cat won't cause any restriction in your exhaust.
  12. Well I'd never put semis on a daily, because it's dicey inthe wet. I have RE001's currently and have found that they start to go off a bit in the wet now even though they're still near new. Expected a bit more from Bridgestone's premium perfomance tyre to be honest, but the price was good.
  13. if you can find a fujitsubo 3" catback they are great, I just put one on. good size centre muffler and big oval rear muffler. Prior to that I just had a stock system with a nismo rear muffler (2.5" entry and a huge probably 5" tip) and the new system is only slightly louder. And I do NOT like loud exhausts so if it's good enough for me it's good enough for you
  14. Exactly. Everybody knows if you're going to do that you should run premium at least!
  15. If it was a Virgin car, you'd pretty much have to...
  16. Everyone who's truly leet knows that 3 is an E. His number plates say "God Ella" or "Good Ella", both of which make me wonder what Ella's number is for when I want a good time...
  17. clever, but since it was a hoax and not genuine stupidity i can't be bothered firing up PS
  18. why anyone would ever change their pedals is beyond me. the only time you ever see them is when you're standing outside the car (ie rubberneckers) and when you're driving your foot slips off because the aftermarket ones are invariably slippery metal, and highly defectable at that. standard pedals!!! don't be a riceboy
  19. i just can't get over the relative shapes of the front and rear wings. fronts are so big and rears are so tall and skinny. it just looks shit!
  20. I had a look at the website and it still doesn't seem to. So you manually turn the unit on and off - and then one day forget and your battery goes flat. That's not worth spending $150 for. As part of my amp install I put a battery isolator in, $15 from jaycar. It's a manual switch and you can take the toggle bit with you when the switch is off which will also be a minor pain in the arse for thieves. Sure I have to pop the boot but I don't have to remember the remote control (which is kinda pointless for an occasional use only item). Honestly for a car that is seldom driven you should either 1) connect a trickle charger or 2) fit a manual isolator. If it works for you, great.. but it sounds like you're trying to sell the product or beat up interest in it by trying to convince me it's something I want when I know it isn't.
  21. I was hoping this system would be one that cut power when the battery was half flat, so that if you left your lights on and came back to the car you could hit an override button and still start it, rather than be left dead flat. Having it cut out after 2 minutes regardless, and losing the functionality of a car alarm, isn't useful IMO. I lock my car up every night but if I parked on the street somewhere I'd rather it made a big f**k off noise to scare off thieves rather than let them get in and nick anything they want in silence.
  22. I bought a low kms '98 R33 (33,000km) from them and have been very happy with the car. State roads inspection was very thorough, said the k's were genuine and I could tell from looking at the car that it was immaculate. Had some cosmetic repair and a couple of panels resprayed but you'd never know from looking at the car except at the rear numberplate you can see they didn't blend it in as well (but I only noticed after the inspection). Unfortunately I've had some minor rust bubbling under the paint on the rear wheel arch where it was resprayed, but that only came up more than a year after ownership. But besides that the car has been faultless, and the bubbling issue isn't important enough for me to fix at the moment. I am being pretty anal about all of the above, really. No car's going to be perfect. Would not hesitate buying another car from them, I've loved it since the day I drove it out of the yard.
  23. 09 rear wings look gay. whoever decided on them must be a flaming homosexual, aero benefits or not.
  24. wow that looks impressive, I went with a Peerless 12" Automotive in a fibreglass box made by loftyfang. It kicks hard enough for me and sounds nice
