  1. I riced my pulsar with neons when we went to see F&F at the drive-ins. Cardboard wings and glowsticks aplenty, what a great night we were so busy laughing we didn't even notice how shit the movie was.
  2. ^^ that is brilliant Hamilton and Massa are both very talented drivers, Massa deserved the glory on the day because he drove the perfect race in changeable conditions. Mclaren were very conservative and deserved to see things slip away from them because they took no chances. It really seemed like the championship was gifted to him by Glock, even though I'm sure that's not the case. Massa has also developed as a driver by a phenomenal amount, he will be a force to be reckoned with next season.
  3. tried that.. seemed to help for 1 day tops then it creaks again. WD (or Inox) is worse because it displaces all the grease. Lithium grease was OK but still doesn't produce a lasting effect, a day or 2 later it's groaning again.
  4. What typically creaks when opening a car door - it seems to be the pin in the middle of the door that controls the detents (ie how the door likes to open halfway or full way, there's a pin that an arm pivots on attached to the car body). I've tried greasing it but it doesn't seem to help, are these replaceable? How to remove just hammer them out?
  5. I wouldn't do a manual conversion cos I wouldn't be dumb enough to buy an auto in the first place!! Ahhh suckahhhhhh just kidding.. but seriously it's a huge amount of work you would need to have a very unique car in which you passionately loved everything except for the transmission, and planned on keeping the car for at least 5 years.

Yes you're making 160kw. that kind of power could hurt if you got your finger caught in it! the dyno graph on its own doesn't suggest anything is wrong, the power curve could be smoother but that's standard management for you. They didn't graph AFRs for you so without knowing how rich it's running we can't comment about any gains to be had there. I think your next mod is a bleed valve for 10psi and an ECU change to get a proper tune (you'll certainly need it if you go more than 10psi anyway) (btw dude no need to bump your post after 4 hours, the forum doesn't exist just for you!)
  8. Anyone who's considering it should jump on this. I still haven't had a chance to install mine (I'm halfway through the amp install ok ) but these boxes are very nicely made and take up minimal boot space when installed. You won't get a more compact sub install in a 33 and Ben's done a great job on them.
  9. PFC doesn't do anything useful with knock, it just gives you a pretty light on your dashboard that flashes and says "your engine is being destroyed". My one gripe with the PFC is that there is no knock retard on it. If you fill up with stale fuel the only thing stopping your engine rattling itself to death is you noticing your check engine light amongst all the fun and games of hitting boost. (ok so I'm exaggerating but still)

  12. Ferrari are doing a bit of dick swinging by saying standard engines means they'll take their bat and ball and go home, but then I think that's the only language Bernie understands since everything he says is phrased the same way. Standard engines would be a terrible move.

  15. fuel filter would be as every page i've read says change your fuel filter after a tankful of E85, it loosens all the shit in your tank. perished hose would probably have more to do with the gigawatts he's running under the bonnet
  16. after just reading the misinformation thread i should probably stay quiet but I thought* it was a marketing thing, so the GTS-t's top speed is 180km/h and the GTR's is 200+. * I have no solid basis for this claim
  17. That's fantastic. I would have thought the high voltage could play havoc with the car's electricals but maybe not. I guess you'd have to put warning stickers on your car to avoid being liable for people who touch it accidentally, thereby defeating the purpose of shocking the crap out of an unsuspecting and would-be thief.
  18. Jumped in my car one day to head home and halfway down the road I notice my door open light is on and the cabin light too. Pull over, check everything 3 times, everything is definitely shut. Happened suddenly, no warning and ever since it's been a continual problem the dash light for the door stays on and so does my cabin light. As a consequence I can't set the alarm, it chirps and complains that a door is open. It's definitely not the door sensors. I've unplugged both doors and the boot, but the harness side still reads a short circuit or near enough (seems to have about 0.2V on the pins so resistance measurements are off but the meter reports around 30 ohms). So something's dicky. The passenger door, boot and drivers door all do this. I've poked around at the alarm, even unplugged relays here and there but the interior light stays on. If I unplug the "Smart Entry Control" nissan module then the interior lights go out, BUT I still can't arm the alarm as it does the chirp that tells me a door is open. Any ideas, before I call the alarm installer during the week?

  20. It's a shame the PFC doesn't have a lean cruise mode but I guess that's asking for too much (I'd ask for knock retard before lean cruise anyway).

  23. As soon as Ch10 start thinking with that mindset, there will be ZERO grand prix shown live. Do you really want that? f**k no I'd rather watch F1 and tape Bathurst! To 10's credit, the way F1 is shown on HD is great (live and with minimal crap-chatting by our commentators). They are still showing it delayed at 9:50pm on regular Ch10, so you got what you wanted anyway
  24. The first time I hit VTEC in dad's prelude I was amazed at how much quicker it went once the high lift cams came in. The second time I hit VTEC I was amazed at how f**king slow the car was up until that point! But do you know what the best thing about Hondas is? It means fewer wankers driving skylines *zips up flame suit* ah I'm just kidding.. I reckon an S2000 would be an awesome car. I was also a fan of the Integra Type R for a while, except for the FWD factor..
