  1. I felt the same way until I remembered they were all pregnant by 14. I concur with "nipples".
  2. anyone who puts retreads on a skyline should be shot.
  3. bottom connector on the TPS is the one to pull off. your timing will change when you do this so make sure you measure with it off. idle speed also changes your timing so make sure it's pretty close to right (I got lazy and just assumed it was ) my car was pinging on 18 degrees, so I have to run 15 even on 98RON.
  4. spotted SQIISH (or similar) coming down warringah road at 10:30 tonight
  5. hahahahaha gold.
  6. coilovers traditionally have very stiff rides - great for responsiveness but not so good for australian roads. have seen a WRX with coilovers hit corrugations on a tarred road (the surface was just uneven.. kinda shit) and since it was around a corner the car just skipped straight over them like a rock on a pond and ploughed into a ditch.
  7. ^^ yep, those all have to be fuel resistant. when i did the pump in the R31 I put some ordinary closed-cell foam in as a spacer, and the petrol destroyed it in very short order. if I was doing some custom work in the tank I would cut off small pieces of what i wanted to use and soak them in petrol for a week to make sure they didn't dissolve. sweet setup though, well done B-man
  8. 8 way? how can I lose? i bet sony xplod still sounds worse though.
  9. "boo hoo I'm on my P's and I want to buy an R34 GTR but I can't get insurance." the rest of us drove slower cars when we were younger. added bonus, when (not if) you f**k up there's less chance of wrapping yourself around a tree.
  10. selling assets to pump money into depreciating objects like cars is the dumbest move you can make. but you sound like a pretty dumb person so yeah, go nuts. I wouldn't even contemplate asking my folks to sell up to help finance my car habit. Pull your finger out of your date and go earn some money, sheesh.
  11. Leon, Security in Motion... another vote
  12. belated "spotted" for Mr Moo going south on pacific hwy wednesday night. I was on my way to the pub to get quite drunk Spotted all the usual hornsby crew/coasties tonight
  13. in a serious drag car weight matters.. any chance to shed 5-7kg would be worthwhile.
  14. ^^ you forgot the most important part. flames are cool. yeah there's no point doing it on a street car. i'd rather not be polluting the atmosphere any more than I have to.
  15. you'd get a much bigger weight saving by pulling the back seat out HICAS is only a couple of valves and some high pressure hose, for R32 and R33 S1. R33 S2 is even lighter because it's electrically actuated, no hydraulics at all.
  16. *** ATTENTION *** Please try and consider the attached channel allocations when picking channels to talk on. It bothers me slightly every time someone suggests chatting on channel 33, as 33 is a repeater channel for channel 3. If you're near the channel 3 repeater your conversation will be heard over a much wider distance than intended (and you won't benefit from the repeater, it'll simply annoy other CBers). this has been a public service announcement because I am anal retentive. 17. Looks like I missed all the drama.. If people want to bitch and have a go at each other take it to PM. I value the community forum as a way of keeping up with people during the week, although at times the quantity of posting makes it too hard to keep up (that's right.... YOU'RE ALL FILTHY WHORES!!) so we need 1) less homo fighting 2) cliff notes for geoff thankyou
  18. yay! :sorcerer: I thought I caught a glimpse of sexy out the corner of my eye today
  19. I love the way my car handles, and I'd only remove the HICAS if I was doing serious track work and noticed it as a limitation, or it started malfunctioning.
  20. I cry to myself if I see a mint car being flogged, but at the end of the day that's the owner's prerogative. I value my car in extremely good condition and enjoy driving it in such a state and that's all that matters. Each to their own - I don't see why some wanker with attitude should bother me in the slightest
  21. if you're not going to box the pod and feed it cold air just stick with the standard intake.
  22. yep buy from someone else whatever you do. R33 turbo is a good upgrade on an RB20. More headroom and not much more lag.
  23. I like the mention of bio-fuel, I hope they do go in that direction. quieter than current F1 cars? pfft. there's no reason to turn up to a race if they do that. the memory of waking up in melbourne on the first practice day and hearing the cars from the other side of the city was legendary
  24. that's crazy my exhaust is about a bee's dick over standard, i don't get the whole loud exhaust thing maybe i'm getting old but I just get a headache these days
  25. ditto. I don't have a problem with HICAS on the street, it has been said that 8/10 driving is what HICAS is designed for and frankly if you go any harder than that on public roads you're a moron. On the track, you might gain predictability by putting in a lock bar. You definitely will if the HICAS is getting old and not responding like it should. Drifting, you definitely need a lock bar. HICAS is supposed to improve "regular" handling, and if you're in a drift it will fight you. As for the flame war on drifting, you're all keyboard warriors. Yes, it's not the fastest way around the corner. Yes, it's like being a rally driver only your balls are tiny by comparison. Yes, it is great fun and you don't have to worry about a tree coming through your window. seriously though each to their own. drag racing does nothing for me but some people love it. doesn't mean I should bash drag racing.
