  1. I deposited my membership fee on the 2nd january and gave my membership form to carlo a few weeks after that.. so if you can check up on that too
  2. good to hear they were reasonable. My experience in the past lines up with yours, that cops ARE reasonable if you approach things the right way. I'm sure I'll run into a c**t sooner or later but fingers crossed they are less common than most people think/say. So far been pulled over 3 times and let off, and had an oncoming cop flash his disco lights at me when I was doing ~90 in an 80.. I was tapering off and coasted back down to 80 and he didn't bother following me. The ones that have pulled me over always come across like ball-busters and most people probably get riled up at that point and stop doing themselves favours... but the end result has always been fair for me. Haven't been pulled over in the r31 yet... fingers crossed!!
  3. I'm still planning on sticking my ugly head in
  4. Bah, stupid people figure out how to breathe before they starve... it's hopeless Have a good pizza all.. Will catch you next time!
  5. Can you give my copy to Carlo, Mal, and I'll get it off him when I see him. He also wants a copy for himself so make that 2 copies. Thanks!! Can't wait to see this vid
  6. rofl. what a dopey prick. Anyone know what the context is?
  7. I don't think I can make this one unfortunately.
  8. Assuming you take the cheaper option and go the silvia: Can you afford to maintain it? Can you afford to insure it? Can you afford to crash it? Three very important considerations when you're 17. If you put yourself into debt buying a silvia, and then don't insure it or only get 3rd party, and run up the back of someone on a wet day when you're not paying 100% attention then you're screwed and the car will be off the road for 6 months while you repair it or off the road for good. You'll find, just like you did with your speeding episode, that if you stretch too far you'll get kicked in the teeth and end up worse off than you started. The harder you try to fight it the worse things get, just ride it out and things will come good in the end.
  9. I'm being completely honest here Dale, I think you should buy yourself a shitter to get from A to B. You aspire to own fast cars yet you nuke your licence even faster - what's the point? You're setting your sights bloody high, an expensive car will kill you financially - remember that the purchase price is only the start of it. I kicked off on a modified charade for at least 4 years, and then shared a pulsar SSS for a year with my sister before buying my R31. The R31 is the first car I own outright and was a cheap car to buy. Basically, I'm still at uni and I don't want to get myself into debt. When I finish in 6 months time and start earning $35k+ a year then all bets are off. When I was 17-18 I was trying to pay all running costs on the charade (including being serviced by MRT - ew!) and that was a struggle. So unless you're working full time I don't recommend shooting for anything you have to borrow money for. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would respect you more if you settled down, lived within your means and made sensible choices in life (like not doing 30km/h over the limit on your Ps). I've never met you but the impression I get is you want to run before you learn to walk, and that sort of thing can get you killed when it comes to cars.
  10. Jesus, you DO need a warning on that avatar Hooks :upurs: hehe.. mine's there for the irony
  11. :bahaha: would have expecting nothing less from you mate
  12. Fingers crossed your baby can be fixed!
  13. Spotted Dino driving past the eastern valley way revenue collection point today Was going to flash but then thought "what if it's some dickhead I don't know"... turns out it was some dickhead I do know so I should have
  14. My car does the same thing. If you drive it off gently when cold you get to about 3k RPM and are trying to just go a bit faster it seems to really die in the arse. If you put your foot down a bit or let it struggle there for a few seconds it'll get through the dead spot and come good again. It really doesn't feel nice to drive when cold though! I usually try and short shift just before 3k - it has another not-perfect spot around 2.5k but the warmup period is only about 3-4 mins so i'll deal with it if it's a common fault with the ECU's tuning and not something that can be simply fixed. Contemplated cleaning the AFM but had my doubts it would make a difference. When warm, I can sometimes feel the same dead spot but it is far reduced. Most of the time I only notice it when it's cold.
  15. I rely on my line to beep at skanks on the side of the road, that's about it Honestly I'd be concerned if a chick was attracted to me because of the car. There's no way anything serious can develop out of a relationship if they like you for your car. However, I would have no problem with my car getting me laid... :bahaha:
  16. Sounds good Mal, I'm free on thurs and definitely want a copy
  17. Good to hear pete. Only question is - can you script nature's water truck to arrive at 3:30 again?
  18. Echo Dan's words. I came home, decided making dinner was too much effort and ordered pizza, then watched a movie. Had a top day though, thanks for the newbie award Dan Mark made a very good effort at getting his car sideways too, well done mate Thanks again to Pete for organising and running the day, and Aaron for his willingness to run the day out on the circuit keeping us safe and entertained. I'd do another drift day in a heartbeat.

:bahaha: yeah I heard all about that one yesterday. I've had big brake woes lately too but fingers crossed they are all sorted now!! Mine too.. She needs a bit of TLC as some parts of the car are a little neglected (eg the brakes!!) but once I get those sorted.. Normally call mine "the hotness" when things are going well. She's a naughty girl on a good day
  20. no probs brendan.. I haven't seen your 33 yet, it sure sounds like a beast though. I'll keep my car crossed up on the circuit for you
  21. I'm gonna hit the sack too, but I never fall asleep if i go to bed before midnight. grr. Didn't get a chance to prepare my onboard cam or grab another set of tyres but should be fun anyway! At least the brakes work and my lighter hip pocket won't slow me down at all See the northsiders at forestway RTA at some ungodly hour..
  22. Well, I got my car back at 5:15pm (big effort from my mech on that one) so I'm a bit happier now.. I didn't get time to organise new tyres so I think I'll be driving home on canvas! eek. anyway fingers crossed
  23. lol babs. fingers crossed - have the override ready! I will prolly pull out of the dinner guys, will give someone a call to find out what's going on when i'm free. might be up for the cruise tho, will see.
  24. All's well and good until she pulls into the woolies carpark and braille-parks it between a 4WD and an excel.
