  1. 50/50 how ironic that the 9pm one rolls around when I'm not rostered to work the next day!
  2. nah I've already checked there once this evening
  3. That brings the total up to 4 japanese schoolgirls now?
  4. Considering going out and buying a set with the hardest compound I can find
  5. case in point *raises hand*
  6. Kinks

    To do 2004

    - Find a woman to sit in the passenger seat, and occasionally join me in the back seat :bahaha: Er... - Do some drift days and get some proper sideways action happening - Finish maintenence list on the R31 - Graduate uni - Earn wads of cash - Decide on my car future (eg buy R32 and keep R31 for a track car or sell it or whatever)
  7. On an R33 a coke bottle top does do the job. You want the whole head of the coke bottle not just the lid, so chop it just at the top of the body and with the screw top tightened on the bottle push it into the hose and secure with a hose clamp..Done.
  8. I'm using bendix performax pads, haven't had a chance to get them up to their limits though - I drive pretty sensibly on the street
  9. wow, that's almost good enough to be an urban myth. (ie borderline on too good to be true). Makes for a good story though, and I bet he's so glad he got his car back!
  10. Sorry, I don't own an R33. *hands carlo an oar*
  11. cheers, i will try it.. hopefully it's coming from somewhere trivially nonimportant like the air con pulleys.. which isn't even gassed so I should probably just remove the belt if that's what it is lol.
  12. 190km/h on untested brakes, and now you're going for 350kw... :bahaha: I took my charade through akuna bay (very bumpy very twisty with some SLOW tight corners) to give my new pads/rotors a thrash after bedding them in, almost outbraked myself around one corner.. (heh) but heavier more powerful cars are a bit different! The charade could be flat out and still only doing 80 clicks, but it would also hold that through tight corners not like larger cars I haven't done anything majorly brutal to my cars, I tend to have a reasonable amount of mechanical sympathy. I have accidentally seen 6000RPM on a coldish engine in the r31, and although the engine wasn't loaded I don't want to repeat it... but in general I just tend to be a bit harsh on the clutch going through the gears. So the drivetrain normally cops a bit...
  13. Will try and come out at least for a look this time
  14. R33 discs and calipers will bolt onto jap r31 struts only (off the HR31). You can put jap struts into aussie r31s but I hear they are hard to find? (try justjap?) Rears I have no idea.. but i doubt they'll go onto an aussie 31.
  15. Well done on the vids Dale.. credit where credit's due. Oh, and can you make your sig pic a little bigger? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what type of car that is and who drives it :bahaha:
  16. omfg :bahaha:
  17. That's pretty stupid. One of those little 4 way jobbies I never bother for, but if it was a huge 2 lane roundabout with a big island in the middle and 5 or 6 exits i might.
  18. I'm in.. I also have "some" editing ability (sic) so I can put the vid together as long as we're talking about digital8/miniDV as the source format.
  19. I hate skylines too. damn things always want money spent on them :bahaha:
  20. looks like I wasn't the only one watching MIB2 last night through boredom.
  21. It would be more accurate and I considered it, but it's easier to strap something on the outside of a piece that changes temperature to get a rough idea, than it is to get a probe into the actual airstream. You then have to worry about sealing the hole properly and making sure nothing can drop off into the engine... and a 10 minute install where nothing can go wrong is easier!!
