    Changed over the fuel filter today, and it was filthy. As I shook out the excess, the fuel that came out was a really dark brown, yuck! Also changed the spark plugs and gave the air filer (pod) a bit of a clean. Car seems to be running a fair bit smoother now, particularly on idle. Cant really tell if its drinking less yet, but will report back. (Also changed windscreen wipers, easy another 10-20rw/kw now. )

    There is no solid answer. It will depend mostly on the current health of your box, and what you use the car for. But 300rwkw for street duties if your box is in ok condition should not be a problem.

Did BJ decribe the problem or just do the old 'these are crap' line. Either way i'm going to get some 17"s shortly, I'll report back on what they are like. Nick

    That suggests that the parts of your fuel map you use during light cruise are too rich. Get rid of that central20 ecu and get something adjustable.

    Amazing amount of work put in, kudos. But I hate the styling, each to their own.

    Would love to come. But almost bald tyres and old brake pads are a recipe for disaster on twisties!

    It amazes me that we need to be 18 and have license to drive a car solo, yet any nuff nuff can have a baby. And then we give them $4000 for it!

    What he said if your looking at more power. Also look into some steel braided brake lines, new fluid and good pads (makes the brakes fell new again), or perhaps some new suspension bushes/shock/springs/swaybars to get it driving really nice.

    If you have the $$$ the GTRS is the better option. But that is not to say that the hiflow is a bad piece of kit at all. Plenty of people on here who are happy with both the options you have put forward.

    Oh yeah I forget, who would want throttle response and stock appearance. I can be so silly sometimes!

    Have a look around the for sale section and wreckers for a good second hand one, that will satisfy the cheap requirment. As for quiet, well as above everyone has a different interpretation.

    A good option for cheap injectors is 480cc ones out of manual S15's, they are a direct drop in for R33 RB25DET's. I'm aiming for approx 260rwkw and 6 of these will easily suffice, and only costing me $280 delivered for all six.

    He mentions a single hi mount. (Why you would not go low twins on a steet GTR is beyond me)
