  1. Buy a cheap daily and keep the gtr. If you dont know how to ride the bike will probably kill you! An off, even at low speeds in traffic can be lethal. no so in a car.
  2. +1 for Centreline. Good blokes who are happy to take the time to explain what you need to know.
  3. +1 Mx5, will run rings around the other suggestions through the twistys.
  4. Another load of junk. Simply supply vs demand unfortunately. We need it they have it, the more we need or the less they have the more it will cost.
  5. Sounds more like an RB20 turbo. Its well documented that 200rwkw is easy to do with a 25 snail.
  6. Seems to be going strong Deren, never knew you had this much patience!! I may be up in QLD in a few months, might have to catch up for a beer and a squiz at the beast!
  7. I had a big fuel economy thread a while back plenty of info in it. In summary 90% city driving I get btwn 320-400 depnding on how i drive the thing using about 60L of fuel. You can go well past the E line and then go for another 20-30kms when the light comes on. I found the best economy to be on BP ultimate. Probably cause thats what the car was tuned on. If your car is in good mechanical condition (02 sensor working, fresh fuel filter, good plugs and coild) then the maion things that will affect your economy are 1. City/Freeway driving 2. Lead foot or driving Miss Daisy 3. The tune I found the biggest factor was my driving, and the fact i do 90% inner city driving.
  8. Still with ceramic exhaust wheel?
  9. Personally I would go for the just jap bell mouth front/dump pipe. Its cheaper, and split dumps can sometimes lead to boost control problems.
  10. R33 spec will get you no more than about 200rwkw on around 12psi (any more is will greatly reduce the life of the turbo) R34 (slightly larger OP6 rear housing) will get you around 210 on 12psi. These readings can be +/- 10kw depending on dyno, operator, heat, etc. Anything significantly more or less is an incorrect dyno reading.
  11. I just find it hilarious that TT actually put to a court that Anna Coren was officialy a 'performer' and not a journalist. Something we all knew but I just think it truely shows how low TT is regarded, evn my 7's management.
  12. Done the drive many times, pretty boring until you get about 30 mins off the hume, then you get some nice twisty sections and great views. Tips would be: watch out for police they are everywhere during the season, smash the redbull/coffee if your driving late night or early morning, rest if you need to and finally Make sure you stop at the Mount Beauty bakery. The pies and rolls are awesome and the brunette who works there sometimes is as stunner!
  13. I hit the slopes every year, and i never take the line up there. The only time i would consider it it when some mates and i stay at the base of Mt Buller and i could leave the line there each day and just enjoy the drive up and back to melbourne. Some of the reasons i stay clear of the snow in the skyline (particularly the day parking areas) are; wet snow and mud WILL ALWAYS get in your car no matter how hard you try to avoid it, people always flick mud/slush/rocks up as they drive around hitting the cars, there is no way i would able to get chaines on through the 2-3cm tyre/guard clearance i have, and finally the amount of times i have seen people with skis/poles/boards hit cars would make you cringe. HOWEVER just before and just after the season when the roads are totally free of snow and ice most of the way up the mountain I often go up for the staff start/end of season parties at Falls Creek. This is the best time to go as there are no tourist busses, no cops trying to raise serious revenue (if you have ever been even 5km over btwn Mt Buller and Mansield during the season you know what i mean) and there is usually snow at the top to take pics if you want. The mountain roads are some of the most challenging and rewarding to drive on and the fact they are usually in very good condition makes them verry attractive.
  14. Corey's house
  15. Wow I knew this could be an issue if you got picked up on it, but I had no idea cops were targeting it! I would guess the only way to solve your problem (if what ash had said aboutt engineers is correct) is to weld it up really neat and repaint it, the run cooler piping that does not cause you to run into this problem. Meanwhile this weekend i'm gonna start looking at fabricating up some covers for my engine to hide stuff like this!
  16. No point in running more than 16-18psi or the turbo will be outside its efficiency. You could run it into the 20's if you want but all it will do is create excess heat and stress the turbo.
  17. Best ghetto mod was in my old stero in my s15, the amp and sub were secured with rolled up car mags.
  18. As long as you have the cash you can do just about anything.
  19. I've noticed alot less police attention since recently. But i'm sure its due more to the fact i am now on full license and almost never drive my car friday/sat night.
  20. 240kw on a stock tubo is pure uncut colombian fantasy land! Remeber dyno figures are only as good as their operators.
  21. If a 33GTST is honestly 'too much' for you in the wet when you are driving responsibly then you should hand over your license right now. The only time i have got a fright from my car is when i'm being silly. Its not the car, is how you drive the thing. END OF STORY
  22. Hey mate congrats! I have a very clean neat Silver S2 R33 that I would be more than happy to offer up, let me know if your interested.
  23. What would you consider too much rice? Fake evo vortex generators on a skyline? hehe
  24. Oh no I'm not a scammer, I'm just another honest internet trader. Amazes me how people just hand over so much money with really no idea who they are sending it to. As above caveat emptor!
