  1. I was gonna suggest slide also. You could also look for 2nd hand jobbies, but factor in the cost of a clean and flow test if you go down that route.
  2. EPIC FAIL!

    Dam Epa

Go the stock one, easiest way to solve your problem. Chuck in the stock boost solenoid, and remove PFC. There is NO WAY the boys at McLeod will let you keep it. Also what exhaust do you have? Probably too loud, so chuck on the stock cat back or get a custom one made up that is under 90DB. Good luck
  4. I was just joking around mate, obviously it would cost less to do the swap back. lol. Also the EPA wont car about you doing an RB26 swap, its vic roads who will bend you over then! But all you will need to do is get it engeineered then you will be fine.
  5. This thread has shown an amazing inability by people to perform even the most basic reading comprehension. Bravo! Oh and Larri you have alot of work ahead of you to get close to passing epa. It would prob be cheaper for you to buy a stock R33 in the same colour, order another rego sticker and change the plates over for a day.
  6. Check the EPA/Roadworthy thread. On the last page I put up a link to the modified vehicle guidelines from the EPA. Then have a look on the vic roads website for all the info you need.
  7. Are you asking for a genuine roadworthy or a "sympathetic" mechanic?
  8. I seriously doubt your exhaust will pass noise. Thats about your only problem, but do read the regs i posted, it will give you a better understanding.
  9. All useless without screenshots!!!
  10. If you can hear flutter (cho cho cho sound) the air is bouncing out of the turbo back towards the AFM, AFM tells the ECU to add more fuel, ECU adds more fuel, not enough air, car stalls. As stated above a tune *should* fix it. But i have no experience with hypergear turbos they may suffer compressor suge, either way see how you go.
  11. Loving the gear selected boost, flat shift, launch control and knock control features. Address's all the failings of the PFC!!
  12. Here is a link to the official EPA vehcile modification document. http://epanote2.epa.vic.gov.au/EPA%5CPubli...31?OpenDocument Maybe sticky this or put it at the top of the thread Ash?
  13. HAHA I was going to but I didn't have the time. If you could just leave your car unlocked next time it would make my life much easier, your brakes, seats and parking permit would really suit my car I think!
  14. Who makes it? What make/models supported? Price range? ETA til its on the market?
  15. I'm with you Guilt-Toy, 250rwkw is still WELL withing the realm of a stock RB25. I would just get a good wrecker motor with a warranty mate, throw in some new rings if you want and be done with it. The quality of the tune will have more to do with your engine hanging together at those power levels than the internals.
  16. The only thing you could do so standard manifolds would be power porting them, it has good results but I would suggest is not at all needed for your power level. (I dont think it would be worth the money) In terms of heat shielding the stock stuff works perfectly fine, no need to replace it with anything else 'cept for bling factor. I'm not sure about the dump, i would imagine the stock ones would be orright. But I had the cash i would go the CES jobbies. I had that brand split dump/front pipe on my old s15 and it was a ripper. My vote would be do it if you can afford it. Diy heat shild would be a VERY good idea for the exposed pods, factory airbox with panel filter would prob be better. I use an exposed pod simply because I love the induction noise though, i can only really feel heat soak in heavy traffic and i never flog it in that situation.
  17. I was workign at AusPost an account manager until this yr, now I'm a full time finace student at La Trobe Bundoora. Still working 2 days per week at the AusPost call centre bored as hell! Going from a full time wage with performance bonus' to full time students sucks!
  18. Cheapest way for me was go insure the skyline (for my agreed value of 22.5k) with Shannons on an occasional use policy for $720 22yo male, no claims or thefts, and drive an LPG shitbox day to day. Insurance costs save me heaps and fuel saves me even more. But the best thing is that my car feel fast (at least for the first 15 mins) each time i drive it! Plus i dont worry about the skyline getting, hit, vandalised, scraped in a carpark etc.
  19. Very cool video, damn needle just keeps climbing like crazy!
  20. A standout cab ride for me is one where the bloke speaks english, knows where they are going and does not try to rip me off. I would say a little less than 1/4 of my trips would be "standouts".
  21. Probably checked already but have you checked te accuracy of the gauge (or whatever) you are reading the boost from? Have you considered butchering the ex housing and running the gate from that? Might allow the gate to actyally flow some gas as opposed to trying to redirect them at that crazy angle.
  22. Saw this last night, I lol'd.

    Lockdown!

Wont affect me cause I never drink in the city anymore, and will probably do some good. I'd be very upset if they did this in St Kilda though. Will be intersting to see what happens.
  24. Removing indicators would be a definite no no I would say. But moving them may be ok, as ash said check Vic Roads website.
  25. OS Giken Twin Plate is tough as nails, mine just will not die.
