  3. Hi, Up for sale is my black Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T turbo manual sedan. I am a Nissan enthusiast and have given great care, attention and respect to this car since taking ownership. Currently has 186,000 kms Always garaged, only driven on weekends. Drives very well. 3 months rego remaining. Kms are genuine, mostly highway as previous owner did a fair bit of Newcastle - Sydney trips. I have also done the following: - Manual conversion from auto using the correct transmission, brand new clutch kit (HFM heavy duty), new gktech heavy duty pivot ball, machined flywheel, brand new OEM rear main seal and pilot bush. - Brand new Bosch 02 sensor - New Nissan OEM half moon seals, rocker cover seals and PCV valve seal. - Nissan 350z OEM factory special edition 30th anniversary wheels - Project Mu wheel nuts - Hicas removal bar fitted (easily reversed, will supply original hicas unit) The car also features the following improvements: - HKS Hipermax II- height, spring rate and damper adjustable coilover suspension. No knocks or leaks - Blitz front mount intercooler, return flow design which means no holes cut in the body - Origin rear boot spoiler colour coded but not yet fitted (should cover up most of the dent in the boot) - Silicon intake pipe - Turbosmart Kompact plumb back blow off valve - 3 inch turbo back exhaust- bell mouth dump into Blitz Nur spec catback w/silencer - Thick aftermarket polished aluminium radiator - Sony xplod double din DVD/CD/IPOD/MP3 headunit with reverse camera. Reverse camera is integrated in rear number plate light and cannot be seen unless you bend over - Remote alarm/immobiliser - Turbosmart bleeder: latest version, set at 12psi - SPLITFIRE Coilpacks! - CUSCO brake master cylinder stopper Everything else is all factory and original: - Plastic side skirts, rear pods, front lip are all OEM Nissan - Nissan OEM factory option floor mats - Centre gauges - Xenon headlights with headlight levelling switch and aftermarket HID kit - Traction control system - Auto headlight sensing ON feature - Dark tints - Guards are untouched- not rolled for 'Stance yo' or anything like that - Splash guards still in place - OEM weather shields The bad: - Central locking needs attention to locking mechanism - Reverse lights are not working on reverse gear, so it is wired up into a switch inside - Small scuffs here and there from people who park by feel, most obvious being the dint in the boot. As mentioned earlier, I will supply a colour coded 'Origin' boot lip spoiler to cover up the dint. - Passenger headlight has been resealed - Front bar needs attention If you give me an offer without looking at it, it means you want to buy without looking. If you are serious and actually have the money, feel free to contact me to arrange a viewing. Why am I selling? I'm at the age where I've got way too much going on in my life and could do with the extra funds. Located: western Sydney, Fairfield area 04017555onetwo
  4. Hi, I'm not sure if there is much interest out there, but i thought I would put it up anyway before i send it off to sims metal or leave it at my worst enemy's door step. I'm going to convert my 1998 series 1 R34 GT-T sedan to manual over this weekend, which means I have this gearbox up for grabs, along with most other automatic bits (flywheel, tailshaft, torque converter, brake pedal, etc). The car has travelled 180,000kms and shifts perfectly fine through all gears. Any prospective buyers are welcome for a test drive before it gets dropped over the weekend. I'm after $150 for the auto box and/or if you require related auto stuff, ill throw them in. This is cheap enough to keep as a spare for your self. pm me
  5. Mate, I would be looking at reshelling completely., but it depends on you as to what kind of access you have to the right tools, skills and $$ to get this shell 100% again. I personally would rather spend the time on sourcing out another shell and transferring the drive line over rather than worry about getting the chassis 100%

  9. Good question moodles, there were oil restrictors put in. i have to confirm with the engine builder how he did it but i assumed he would've left the VVT and installed the restrictor in the rear feed & blocked the middle feed. Ok just got off the phone with him, he blocked the middle and put the restrictor in the read feed as per the oil control thread on here.
  10. hey guys, yes the sound only happens when VCT is activated, no sound with it disconnected so its definitely VCT/Cam related, im thinking of removing the VCT completely and putting in bigger cams & adj cam gears. Kiwi, yes they were new pistons from CP Pistons. BoostdR, did it happen when VCT kicks in or just normal idling/driving?
  11. UPDATE: ok its definitely not a clicking noise from a vct solenoid, sounds like a grinding noise. the tuner set the vct to kick in earlier @ 2000rpm and thats when the sound occured. Any ideas people?
  12. Hi, yes I've got all supporting mods but it's on a built rb25 not a rb26.
  13. hi guys, thanks for all the replies. i was reading through this thread, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/353835-rb25-hi-flow-turbo-and-vct-help/ and it indicated that the VCT solenoid can be noisy and make clicking noises? it never did this before, is there any reason why it should be noisy now? I am going to visit the tuner tomorrow and try and hear the sound myself first hand. He is an experienced tuner so i trust his judgments, hopefully he is right. I'd hate to find out that it was infact a noisy solenoid and he charged me unnecessary labour to check if the TB was correct.
  14. and for ppl who said it drives crap with VCT turn off, i ran it in for 1000KM with the VCT turned off (i didnt even know it wasnt connected) and the car drove perfectly, no issues or felt "sluggish" at all. Would a knocking noise be that audible outside the car? Surely my tuner would know what knocking/pinging sounds like.
  15. hi guys, having a bit of an issue atm with my R34 GTT RB25 NEO. its been rebuilt and currently getting tuned, the tuner found out the VCT wasn't connected so it is now connected but after 5000rpm it sounds like a valve is hitting the piston. he heard this and turned the car off right away and D/C the VCT solonoid. He took apart the timing belt cover and timing perfect and the TB has not jumped any tooths. All clearances were checked and triple checked before bolting the block to the head. It only happens when the is VCT activated, anything below 5000RPM, there is no noise and drives perfectly, idles perfect and no stuttering or hesitation. Can anyone help me with this problem and to sort it out? My car has been off the road for quite some time and this was suppose to be the final stage but now looks like it could be delayed longer by this unknown noise thats really got me worried If anything, he will end up tuning the car without VCT activated. Appreciate any feedback or input regarding this situation.
