Hey guys I posted a topic ages ago but I now need to know How much shorter I need to make the pressure releaf spring shorter or put in a new one. the pressure is currently around or just over 100psi. Can anyone tell me what spring to use or how much shorter to make it?
-
I dont think i can speak japanese
-
anyone??
-
can anyone tell me where to get another spring? how how to drop the tention
-
One is blocked and the other is a tiny tomei restrictor
-
Hey no idea on the latest clearences. But yes I just added the collar to the list
-
7000rpm for long ish periods of time. we have over 1lt of oil in the catch can after about 6 laps. How do you drop the oil pressure ? currently it sits a 100psi when reving
-
Yes i looked at the oil control thread. Yes we have an oil return line from the back of the head The return holes are a little bigger What baffles?? Im using a high energy 8.5lt oil sump
-
Hey guys. I have built an RB30/26 Head. MODS rb30 series 2 block rb26 head (fully reco) PAR rods Aries Pistons All ARP bolts ACL Racing Bearings Race preped crank High Energy 8.5Lt sump Knock Sensors Moved higher on the block Nismo Twin Plate After Market Smaller Balencer 870cc Injectors Jun Oil pump Jun Drive Collar External Oil return (back of head to sump) Thickest Cometic metal head gasket (recommened by rocket to use with the aries pistons??) High mount manafold Garret GT3071R Surge tank with 044 After market fuel rail After market pressure reg Link G2 ecu (with air inlet temp sensor) I think thats everything Ok heres my problem The engine has been having oiling issues since it was built. we first installed a tomie oil kit into the block with no luck. It still poored oil into the catch can at mid to high rpm. We then pulled the head off and blocked off the rear oil feed. Seamed to work better but still puts oil into the catch can. Part of the issue is that when hot the oil pressure sits at around 25-35psi at idle but any touch of the rpm and it jumps to 100psi. Does anyone have any sugestions? I was thinking of some how turning the pump pressure down??? is this easy to do? if so how? Just as a side note the engine made 230Rwkw and 560Nm torque on 13psi Also anyone got any sugestions on a new turbo? cant be to lagy

PALADN replied to PALADN's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain

Hey guys. I have a 300zx gearbox with a r32 GTR bell housing I also have an rb26 twinplate clutch. We have found that the carrier bearing is jamming between the clutch and the gearbox. Therefore locking the clutch open. Can anyone tell me where I can get a new carrier bearing so that the fork will move

maybe in the future we need 2 different national series a v8 supercar style series and then a budget series. IE V8SC vs ARMS just an idea. not something we have the population for just yet. My personal opinion is that i dont mind all these engine swaps and all that but getting a custom made steering rack that gives you 87deg of lock is a little much and custom building a frame to suit. The whole fun part about drifting is the fact that the guys can actually slide the car they are in not just put the foot down.

Hey guys can we please keep this topic on track I would like to get some advice from this other than people view regarding BS terms. Thanks in advance

I have been to a DA event and i was most impressed with the order of events of the weekend. I would have to say I have a issues with runaway budgets that provide a car that can drift with anyone behind the wheel. It will be interesting to see what DA does about this issue if anything. Drifting in Victoria will be changing next year not so much the prices but what events will be held in vic next year. We have a massive year planned with 4 days currently booked and more to come. If anyone has suggestions on how to increase the coverage and pop of the sport in vic send me a PM because we are always open to hear from anyone that has an idea ;-) Drifting in AU is an interesting thing and as said in the original post the need to worry about the grass roots which is what we are trying to do atm. my 2 cents anyway.

Hey I use portafield brake pads. There is a type of material designed for vintage cars that you can get for silvias/skylines ect. If you would like more info please call V & A spiteri Jaguar in blackburn north. I have used these pads on the road and the track and have found them quite good. My 2 cents

Heres how I look at it i have been to 1 sau skid pan day (enjoyed it although I had no idea what I was doing) & i have been running vicdrift for a year & been on NS for ages. SAU - more professional outlook when it comes to cars and events but in my opinion takes a little bit of the fun away ie on the first day I didnt know many people and a few people just seemed to have a problem with the whole drift thing. NS - every dedicated people behind the curtains but the people that draw the attention to NS are the wankers. Street drifting is BS. but hey it doesnt matter if people are driving imports or commonwhores. they are still going to do stupid shit. thats the main difference as i see it. SAU really has the outlook of a professional motorsport club & thats what makes it good NS is for the younger age group that are more interested in giving it the boot and getting pulled over. This doesnt mean that anyone is better than the other. finally on another note. If you are interested in drifting go to www.vicdrift.com we are running heaps of events next year at winton & hopefully some basic days ( ;-) ) we also have an event on this weekend sat is vdc prac & then a private drift day on monday
