  1. The Mazda 3's are a beautiful car to drive. I saw one at the drags last time I was there and it was turbocharged(NO it wasnt an MPS as they werent out at that time) and it was running in the 13's. Food for thought. I dont like FWD though.
  2. My bad with the Caps. Until u guys mentioned it I didnt even realise I had done it. Im not pissed or anything all I was saying was John did my engine and I am very happy. I would be pissed though if the same thing happened to me and the builder denied it being his bad. Cheers

Still looks like new to me. IF YOU ACT NOW AND BUY TODAY YOU ALSO GET THE GROOVY FITTED SHEET I HAVE HAD IT STORED IN LOL.

  7. WELL I WOULD PUT IN A VOTE FOR JOHN AND WILL AT JHH. BUILT MY RB25/30 DET AND IT GOES LIKE A SHOWER OF SHIT FOR A 35/40, STANDARD VL FUEL SYSTEM AND 25 INJECTORS. IM VERY HAPPY AND IN THE EVENT I GET ANOTHER PROJECT CAR(f**kED IF I WOULD PUT MYSELF THROUGH IT AGAIN) I WOULD DEFINATELY GO TO HIM AGAIN. HORSES FOR COURSES BUT I WAS HAPPY.............   9. For Sale - Greddy Copy Plenum $500 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As in title I have a Greddy Copy Plenum for sale to suit a RB 25 "Like New". Edited from new to as new as upon looking at it I could see the outline of a gasket so it appears to have been fitted at some time or another but looks like new on the inside and out. These plenums are awesome looking especially on the inside as this one isnt rough as some of the Greddy Genuines can be. Located down Brownsplains way(Brisbane Queensland) with pick up available.   11. Mate, I dont know about apexi power fc's but everyone seems to use them here and get some good figures. I have a 35/40 Garrett(Cost me $1550), 44mm Tial Wastegate(About $500 if you shop around) and stock 25 injectors(Free and maxxed out) on a 25/30 combo and it just turned out 356.5hp @ the rear wheels but I run a Haltech E6X and stock VL Turbo Fuel system(your skyline fuel system will handle it I think). If you have a custom exhaust all is good. You will need a high mount manifold (I paid about 350 for mine off ebay and its been great but you can pay upto $1200 and be weary as quality is varying) Power Fc's will set you back upto about $1200 but you can get second handies for cheaper. Your stock pistons and rods will handle it for sure but also depends on how good of condition your engine is as mine is brand new rebuild. Hope it helps others might be able to chime in with more advice. Shop around before you jump in and look for people that come recommended.

  13. Hi mate, Give MIS(Mobile Injector Services) a call on 0400 008007. They can come to you and should be pretty reasonable. It cost me $80 to test all six of my VENOM injectors. They seem pretty good and my mechanic uses them all the time. There on the South Side of Brisbane. Cheers Imtorqing
  14. I wouldnt have thought that ? Interesting. There is a guy around Brisbane with a 350 in it but not sure if it is LS1. Id have to guess so cuz you wouldnt go back to a bloody carby in a skyline. I remember taking my RB30 to the engine shop and we were pulling it off the back of the ute and the guy didnt know till he was lifting it and said in amoungst groans "What is it ? an Rb 30" and I just laughed and went yep.
  15. Back when I bought them there wasnt much to read about them but I can tell you now do not go anywhere near Venom Injectors. I spent 700 when I bought them but had them sitting there as I was waiting for the engine to run in before fitting my new fuel system. Showed my mechanic and he said Sh !t I would have them tested the flow holes are all over the place. So today I had them tested by MIS(Mobile Injector Services) and all six failed......ALL FU$%N SIX. Four of the six leak and the flows which are tested at half cycle were ; No 1 94ml per 30 Seconds No 2 96ml per 30 Seconds No 3 88ml per 30 Seconds No 4 101ml per 30 Seconds No 5 95ml per 30 Seconds No 6 92ml per 30 Seconds I have emailed a guy off of Ebay US which has his company TLF Performance on the box and who signed the postage declaration to see what can be done but I reckon I have done my dosh. I could resell them but I'm no F^%$N lowdown filthy prick. If they didnt leak and the flows were generally on the money I wouldnt be as cut but damn it makes ya wanna cry. ANYWAY BE WARNED IN FUTURE. I HAVE SEEN INJECTORS ON EBAY THAT LOOK JUST LIKE THEM BUT THEY DONT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT BRAND I RECKON THEY ARE VENOMS. ANYWAYS THATS MY BLAT IM OFF TO KICK MYSELF IN THE BALLS CHEERS Imtorqing

  17. As stated by West I would go bigger. The HKS Drag car runs 2 35/40's(I know they have a little bit more money than us lol). I would go either the 35/40 or a 40r. If you go the smaller one if you decide to go a little harder later you will have to get a bigger turbo. I'm running a 35/40 on a 25/30 Combo but it hasnt been run in yet and hard tuned so it is really docile at the moment so I cant comment on the power advantage. Anyway my 2 c do with it as you will......... GO BIGGER Cheers Imtorqing

  19. Good to hear man...... I myself am going to be a biological dad in November(Just got my beast on the road in time) My wife has two kids already and my ex had three so I was the ready made dad. My wifes dad is a twin and I was like mmmmmmm I love kids and all but having four kids in our house mmmmmmm. Anyway good luck on a boy as thats what Im hoping for cuz I wont be trying again.   20. There is an O2 check that mechanics can do but the car has to be warmed up. They take off your radiator cap and put it in the top of the radiator and if the fluid turns from blue to green then its Farked. The bubbles as suggested is another. If it is coughing and farting when you are hard up it and blowing a white steamy smoke. Check your water resouvour for oil in the bottom. With my Vl didnt realise it was there as the previous owner had painted the bloody overflow bottle so I couldnt see. After I pulled the motor out and tore out the overflow to replace it I saw it there thick as . Those are my ways of looking for trouble.......... Cheers Imtorqing
  21. I went to Predator Motorsport before I undertook my rebuild and they had a skyline in the shop there that was running standard rods and pushing some series numbers. They used it for their track car and he said they flogg the crap out of it and despite what everyone had said they were going just fine. Mind you I would take the advice that bluprint was saying have them tested and balanced right. My 2cents Cheers Imtorqing

  23. Yeh once I mention white smoke everyone goes aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa nup no idea. Head gasket was what I was thinkin but the test dispelled that and it wasnt like steamy....... I did a search last night on here and some people have mentioned white smoke as unburned fuel which makes me think it might have been something in the fuel rail, injectors etc. It is running pretty rich. I will see how it goes I was just hoping someone might have had a similar experience. Cheers Imtorqing
  24. Hi Guy's, Yesterday I drove my VL Turbo(Rb25/30 combo) back from Golf and got pulled over just before the Boronia Heights exit. The old girl has had a full rebuild and went in today for its first 500km service. I was there with the car idling for about 5 - 10 minutes. Anyway while I was sitting there after a couple of minutes I felt a pop in the idle and within a couple of minutes it had changed into running like a pig on five cylinders. As I went to take off it was spewing out White smoke and chugging. I've had a blown head gasket before(Hence the rebuild) and seen White Steam coming out when that occurred but this was smoke. Temp gauge, oil gauge show all is good. I limped it home and was contemplating suicide as all of my money is gone from the rebuild. Anyway had it towed to my mechanics today and when the towie turned up I had to move the car. Started it and it ran without a problem in sight. The mechanic called and said he couldnt fault it. I turned up and witnessed him test it for a head gasket leak (The gasket is a metal one) but it passed with flying colours. Took it for a good drive up and down the freeway but she never skipped a beat. Everyone is like WTF nothing seems wrong with it. Anyway last night I drove to the Brownstains video shop and pulled up which is on a slight incline. By the time I had dropped it in the chute and got back in the car there was that pop in the idle again. I started to freak out and started driving out of the carpark and the pop went and she drove home without a problem. Wasnt till I got home and thought about it I realised when I was pulled over the car was on an incline the same as the video shop. Rang the mechanic and told him about my brain storm and he couldnt really offer anything other than maybe a dribbling injector etc but never heard of the car billowing out white smoke. I also spoke to JHH Performance who couldnt think of anything either. The car is running a Haltech E6X(Batch firing not sequential injection), Slightly rich stocko tune for the run in, Haltech Ignition Modules, Standard Injectors RB25(Maxxed out), Standard Rb25 Series 1 coils, Standard Fuel system Fuel reg pump etc, Gt35/40. ANYONE GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS OR SIMILAR PROBLEM. I DID A SEARCH BUT FOUND NOTHING THAT HELPS. Cheers Imtorqing
