$300 would be about right to repair then respray a WHOLE front bar, u gotta remember its not a 2 min job DT panels are pretty good with this sorta stuff and they should be able to give u a good price

Well just do that then and put back on FMIC once u got the RWC and defect has been cleared Did they suspend your rego cause they deemed your car unsafe or cause u didnt get the defect cleared in time? probably wouldnt of been wise to call VIC roads and tell them who u were etc i knew this would have ended bad, what a pain in the ass fark the VIC roads people for telling u to crash test your car, hows about they crash test theirs? All our cars that have aftermarket FMIC's must be unsafe then

yep, major defects tends to = full RWC i got pulled over last year and the cop checked my exhaust, he gave me a defect for my exhaust not being "EPA compliant", he says my exhaust tip was too big and i said its not really loud and i have the CAT on so whats the problem? he didnt say shit and still gave me the defect - All i did for that was went and got an exhaust dB test to clear it (and passed) and i had to get a full RWC too, like i said they will pin any BS on ya to give u a defect

U cant reason with the cops, your only option is to get an Engi cert or take them to court and u will most likely loose Welcome to SE suburbs

oh and one other thing id like to add, if a cop wants to defect u he will! they will always find something, i keep my car really low so when i get pulled over i always get defected for height and sometimes they dont bother to check anything else as they just tick "Major Defect" and off I go - Easy fix
