  1. You know sandown/pi terrifies me more than hh, I think it's the speeds involved. I've been looking at richo's sandown vid and see I have to brake deeper and hold higher speed into turn 1 and back kink - both another 10kph higher - easier said than done. Car has a gtx3071 .63 iw, 3" exhaust + metal cat, ~235rwkw, coil overs, standard sways and brakes, 6 point cage. After sandown I now have a "new" shriek after 5k rpm to investigate, probably a leak or crack in exhaust somewhere. Also noticed once again the hot weather stuffed my tune so had to pull some timing on sun as well. Always something to work on or improve.
  2. Yes the silver gtt. I really like this track like a compact winton more handling less power. I was fighting understeer most of the day as were others, up hill brake and turn sections were tricky. After doing hh then rocking up for maserati I'm in (+ my car's in) recovery mode atm.
  3. Weather made things a little wild until last 3 runs for everyone, wish I did the 9th A lot of first timers, a few people left early due to the rain, but people who stuck it out did ok as track started to dry after 4pm. Figure 8, in either clockwise or anti-clockwise layout ftw. Thanks for uploading pics, good to see my car's attitude from outside.
  4. Yes it's frustrating but not many people will want to change so many things to get it to work. I'm not biting you, what you thinks needs to be done, workshops will charge a $%^load to fix, studs and piping. If it takes more time to get manifold to bolt on and you feel confident this is worthwhile, as I've said privately I'd be happy to purchase another manifold. I'll be taking up your offer for the refund, minus postage. Cheers.
  5. Full house is great, plenty of Nissans. Hopefully weather will settle in the afternoon and we get some full speed runs! Just remember to bring a ridiculous amount of clothing for the morning when its cold.
  6. Heads up, for people thinking about buying the new Hybrid low mount manifold (no wg). This is a good quality manifold for the price but it won't fit your rb25 motor without modification - studs, washers, nuts and bov/intake piping. I bought it because it's based on the HPI design which is bolt on, but that's not the case. I've contacted Kam a few times now to address issues, but unfortunately there's reluctance to change the design, so I may be out of pocket. For now I'm back to stock manifold. Cheers.
  7. There's a couple of ax's on oct 21 so probably no show/shine for me. But I'll be doing the double whammy oct 13 wrx/14 maserati so will checkout peoples rides then. Not sure if I've seen your car on track before, is the 14th the first event for the s15?
  8. I've been under the radar for a couple of years, yes still have the r34. Trying to part with car didn't work, then got motivated by richo's performances to fix issues and try again. For last year, I've been doing dirt ax/kx in my daily - great for improving skills and doesn't cost much. Anyhow seems the gtr guys have moved on so its good to see the rwd skylines doing well. I went to hh yesterday for some very wet runs then damp runs. Turn around b/w runs was pretty good, many people pulled out and few people left after a few runs.
  9. I've been to hh a few times this year with GCC, typically ~60 cars for the day. If you arrive early and get car scruitineered, you may be able to get a couple of practice laps in. It's about an hour between runs, enough time to watch others, get food, and pysch yourself Anyway I know theres a few things on this weekend, just something to consider.
  10. Heads up to people thinking of heading out to hh (bryant park) next month wanting practice this month. GCC has an event this sun (I'm thinking of entering depending upon weather) entries close tomorrow 5.30pm. http://www.gippslandcarclub.com.au/suppregs.html
  11. I downloaded a free cad program and had a couple of mild steel brackets laser cut for my car, std caliper 310 to 324. This lets me run some local 2 piece gtr rotors for track days - x3e brand. These are heavy brackets with only a 7mm radial increase, but alloy hats should reduce the weight and be better at dissipating heat. I haven't fitted them yet, as need to sort out how to secure the hard brake line. A better option would be to use 330x32 rotors, but this needs too much modification to the sumitomo caliper, ie. a 2mm packing spacer, longer caliper bolts, longer retainer clip pins + sourcing longer internal brake fluid gallery o-rings. Will post pics when sorted.
  12. I had a hks gtrs on my r34 gtt for a year, I do a track day per month, it was warped as shown on your pics. The car was tuned by a reputable gtr workshop in melbourne who deals with track gtrs and the like, he knew his stuff - so it wasn't the tune. Workshop said it was the size of the turbo and heat generated by long periods of boost and recommended a larger gt30x size turbo. I sold the turbo and went to an iw gt3076. The warping is pretty much gone, just cracks in the oem exhaust manifold divider (middle of t3 flange) where two halves of manifold meet. Sounds like it's time to move to something else if doing track work.
  13. Looking for a front set, inc. pins, clips in excellent condition. Not after rotors, or lines, or painted brakes (so I can check condition) or other model calipers. I'm in melbourne, pm if you have anything. Cheers.
  14. I contacted gktech end of march and got the impression this adapter wasn't going to happen.
  15. Not bumping just updating recurring pm and sms q's. They are fork type rear, so will not fit r33 gtst eye type rear. They have done about 1000km. They have no tops, you'll need pillow tops or modify oem tops. I believe front spring rates are 450 pounds (9.3kg), and rear 260 pounds (5.4kg) - well that's the # on the springs, they are progressive rate. I suggest contacting DMS for definitive answers if your thinking of buying. They were pretty expensive new, but I moved onto sk bilsteins a while ago. Cheers.
  16. Used condition. Done half a dozen track days. Made in Australia. Independent bump and rebound adjustment, large body 50mm monotube design. Can be rebuilt locally. I've repainted bodies to remove stone chips, but they're in very good condition. C-spanners and docs supplied. $1100 pm or 0402427004

  18. After the whole series 2 diff, not an s15 diff or centre, as want to retain 4.11 in vgc/ex condition. Can pickup in melbourne. Cheers.
  19. I believe r35 oem's are top feed 560cc high imp injectors, same lineage as 350z and 370z. Since these are starting to appear on ebay they'd make a great plug-in upgrade. Anyone know if this is doable with the neo motor, length + o-ring size, etc. Thanks.
  20. I have an r33 gtst gearbox if your in melbourne, $1100.
