For sale is my 1996 Series 2 Nissan Skyline R33 GTST I am the first Australian owner of the vehicle i purchased it directly from an import motor vehicle company in Melbourne in early September of 2008, the car runs like a dream and has never let me down the only reason i am selling is because it no longer suits my lifestyle. Its very hard to go camping in and is uncomfortable to travel long distances. Some good points; Cusco strut bracers - front and rear Cusco coil-over suspension (as far as i know, i can't see the labels without a hoist but there blue with 5x dampener settings on front) As new 18" JJR mag wheels (4 months old) no marks at all like new HKS electronic dual setting boost controller Dump pipe 2.5' stainless with separate waste gate pipe (plumbs back into dump near front pipe flange) 3' front pipe Dual CAT back exhaust system Tyre's 4 months old, have excellent tread Engine is in great condition, has never been boosted more than 1-2 pounds higher then stock. the car has never been flogged, I've had it 4 years and still have all my demerit points (only lost 1 in 12 years). Car has never been smoked in (at least in Australia), car will be sold with either Victorian or New South Whales road worth certificate depending on what buyer requires. Now some not so good points; Japanese stereo system, has a band ex-pander to pick up Australian channels but 84.9 FM on the screen is equal to 104.9 FM (LCD back light is blown can be difficult to see in daylight) The paint is in good condition for a near 16 year old car, it has some scuff's scratches and sand blasting from normal wear and tear but still looks great The coil packs are breaking down, i have re insulated the sides and run a smaller spark plug gap to compensate but ideally they do need replacing The drivers seat has a tear in the back cushion were all seats wear from drivers entering and exiting but will be re upholstered before sale The boot lining that sits behind the backseat does not fit due to the rear strut brace Local pickup only, but can deliver it to Melbourne or Canberra area's at buyers expense. Feel free to call me for any details or inspections, Car is located in Albury / Wodonga on the VIC / NSW border. Keith 0451 789 552 02 6025 0618 Car is advertised elsewhere and i reserve the right to cancel / end the auction should it sell. Hi guys, been a while since I been on the forums but just got some new wheels so thought I would post a pic :-D Got these from Bob Jane T-mart for $105 per wheel (new - just the wheels no tyres) They honored an old clearance price still on there website http://www.bobjane.com.au/offers.html?state=nsw RJR Quest 18" I know there not 'out there' just some cheap and nice looking wheels but the price was definitely right.

This is my first decent Skyline, my first was an 1984 R30 hatchback haha " TI " lol i welded up the diff threw in a set of R32 coilovers in the rear only and striped out the interior cheap registered burnout machine haha. The new skyline gets alot more respect than the old one. :-D

hey guys, im chasing a oil cooler / heat exchanger unit off a factory RB25 det motor. it sits above the oil filter with a couple water lines going to it. its for a conversion im helping a mate with to put a RB25det into a holden VL calias. he got a complete motor gearbox all the looms, computer and induction piping with exhaust. just missing this peice. don't know why they took it off unless they had an aftermarket oil cooler on it and kept it.
-
hi, in regards to the countless people out there who think the RB25DET can't handle good hp on stock internals i have a Street Commodore magazine in front of me now with a VL calais in it with a RB25DET conversion, on stock internals with some very nice bolt on mods pushing 454.3RWHP / 339RWKW @ 18psi. If thats possible from some holden nuts with half an idea (i say that as the other half that didn't have an idea did it all in a holden HAHAHA) then surely a couple skyline enthusiest's can do the same. I consider myself a hoon, lol. I grew up in the the middle of nowere (15people in my town and 5 were my family). Incedently the same place Larry Perkins grew up, its hard to come from a place like that and not love hooning. But even as a kid my dad showed us how to hoon without damaging the car or upseting anyone. i think that there are alot of responsible drivers out there that like to have a hoon now and then. i have all my demerit points, last one i lost was near 10 years ago. there is a speed limit and its there for a reason. but there isnt' an acceleration limit yet and i enjoy taking off fast and losing some traction around corners. But when i do have a good blast on the fun pedal its always away from the public as much as possible and never to show off in a group and the odd times the cops have gotten me they see i make the effort and ive been let off a ton of times haha. As to geting tempted to race i 99% of the time don't bother as i refuse to do anything like that in public places and most idiots seem to want to drag in main streets and such. That said there was this one guy in a done up ET Pulsar with 18-19" mags and apexi, hks ect ect rallyart stickers all over it hahaha we were turning onto a freeway and i let it go took off up the ramp onto the freeway and soon as i got to the freeway i slowed to 110km hahaha he was pissed took him a good 50metres after i slowed to 110 to catch me. And he continued to pass me and keep going at like 140-150km. lol i guess he didn't want to stick around with me laughing at him.

Missfire Boost@4500-5500 RPM - The Answer! (for me at least!)
kat_00seven replied to Nightman's topic in General Maintenance
Hey guys, just thought i would say great post. Very informative and usefull. I sugest people read the whole thread first before they post a question though, as alot of them were already answered before the new post was made. Anyway as i see it maybe some actual pictures would help people get a better idea. I have recently bought a R33 from the importers, it had a miss when trying to run boost any higher than stock. I changed the plugs they looked like the original units from the factory lol but then u expect platnium plugs to last 80-100k and mine had 90k on the clock. Anyway changed plugs with good quality NGK platniums 1.1mm. Still had the miss but i changed the plugs at night and never got a good look at the coil packs. After reading this thread i pulled them out, every coilpack had arcing scorch marks on the sides and i araldited them all see attached pics before and after. So far so good, pulls hard through to redline without any misses @ 0.85 Bar (12.3psi) big improvement and i didn't have to regap my plugs as im hesitant to do that. would rather a dyno tune once i get my dump and front pipe on and my front mount intercooler happening. get my A/F mixture right and it should help the stock coils alot. Don't underestimate Aryldite, i once used it to patch up a bolt sized whole in the magnesium alloy engine casing on a Honda XL 250 motorbike. Last i heard it lasted 10years without any problems and still going strong :-D yay for bodgy backyarders ROFL (jk i plan on geting splitfires when my exhaust and frontmount intercooler are on) -
