  1. Hey guys, I'm looking to make some quick $$$ from some unlucky punter. Item: GTRS turbos, HKS dumps, HKS Exhaust manifold, HKS 264 Camshafts. Location: In Japan right now, but I'll buy em off Nengun as soon as a sucker... I mean buyer comes forward. Ship direct to your door! Item Condition: New Reason for Selling: To rip off SAU members Price and Payment Conditions: Turbos $6000 Dumps $1000 Manifold $3000 Cams $1500 Will sell as whole package for $11000 Contact through PM *Special*. Only for forum members, I'll cut 10% off my prices, except for on the manifolds, as they are fairly priced as is. Who's a naughty boy then? By the way mods, this is for real. It is a legitimate offer.
  2. R34s (and R33s) come standard with airbags.
  3. I'm definitely on the Cressida bandwagon. One of the guys at work has one(stocker), and I always look at it and think hmmm.... But then I've always wanted a Honda City Turbo, after I got annihilated at the lights by one in my Liberty. Also of course the Nissan March Super-Turbo, Mira Turbo etc. Grab a cheap used intercooler or one of the cheap Chinese ones, front mout it, and then swap your scooped bonnet with someone else who wants it for one that is normal, for the stealth look. An decent exhaust should cost f-all, same with a bleed valve. They are so light, you'd chop so many cars that didn't ecpect it.
  4. Thanks for the suggestion. My mate should bring his gear down tomorrow hopefully so I'll be able to get her up ok, but I'll remember that for the future or if he doesnt get is A-hole out of bed before lunch time like he usually doesnt.
  5. I just had a peek under the GTR today. After trying to get it up on ramps and failing because the approach angle is too high on the ramps, I thought I'd just use the car jack. I contemplated this for all of 3 seconds(2.5 really), before I decided bugger that for a joke. I ended up just poking the nose over a short drop. My friend has a proper jack and stands so I'll get a proper look on the weekend if I get a chance. I couldn't see what I was looking for(water leak), but I did notice that the front pipes look to be significantly damaged. I think its around the point where the two merge into one, and I think its mostly on the pipe thats more on the bottom, but also going through where they merge. I would estimate that if you had a cross-section of the pipe, the overall area would have decreased by at least 1/3, maybe more. I know this is very bad for exhaust flow, and affects both how fast the turbo/s spool up and how fast the engine builds revs(to a lesser degree probably), but just how bad do you think this is restricting my car? Now I definately have to get new front pipes.
  6. Thats wrong actually mate. I got hit from behind in my Subie a few months ago. The driver was uninsured, and I made a point not to even move my car until I had called the cops, they had turned up, and cops said yep, her fault, you can move the car ok now. She got done for negligent driving. If the other driver is at fault and uninsured, always get at least a witness's details, preferably a police report. It is up to you where you take your car to get fixed, it just might make it harder to get the money back if you do. The woman who crashed into me tried to get me to take my car to a shop where her ex worked at, but I had it taken to a place which I know is good. I had insurance though, so I claimed through my insurance and they pursue it against her.
  7. Bass Junky's performance parts: As for the efficiency of Junky of bass you divide. I could do this all day. Bass Junky's parts are made to the highest standards: You can do the part of Junky of bass to high level
  8. Import Corona GT Turbo. Take off GT + Turbo badges and it looks just like a regular 'rona. Except with boost.
  9. Ok, sounds like I should do the basic checklist and if its still not right I'll get it checked out. Am I on the right track re the engine flush procedure? How do I check a radiator cap? Apart from visual? Yes it is factory fan I believe. Also, radiator cap is a Cusco high pressure unit, if that has any significance.
  10. Thanks guys. Scooby, it doesn't have a misfire anymore. It did have, but that was injector related and has been fixed now. Also, I've checked the water for oil and found no sign, although it was a bit dirty. The oil is only a few 100kms old and I can't see any sign of water in it either. So to flush the engine of the old fluid I disconnect the rad hoses and connect the garden hose to the bottom rad hose going into the engine? And do the same to the radiator? Should I used some kind of engine flush chemical treatment? Could it be related to bad ignition timing or something like that?
  11. Hey guys, After finding and fixing the misfire in my GTR, I've had yet another set back. Its now got a cooling system problem. After a drive a few weeks ago it was bubbling (boiling) in the radiator and/or overflow bottle. I let it idle for five minute with the bonnet up (fan on) and it stopped bubbling. The needle on the temp gauge didn't move at all really. I thought maybe I just hadn't given it enough time to cool down after boosting. I hadn't really driven it much lately because of the misfire and no insurance, but I've got those two sorted out now and it will be getting a lot more use. It was bubbling fairly loudly yesterday after a drive, and I had cruised downhill in 5th gear for 3kms or so before I stopped, after a mild drive back on the highway so it should have cooled ok I would think. The gauge had risen to 3/4 after fanging, maybe just over. Also, leaked coolant from somewhere, which I hadn't noticed before. Maybe 200ml or so. It was late and I didn't have time to check it out properly. Now, my question for those of you who are kind enough to help me out: What should I be checking, replacing or looking at to remedy this situation? My list so far includes: 1. Coolant flush and repalce. It hasn't been changed from Japan yet (only a few 100kms). Should I do this myself, or take radiator to a radiator place to clean? What about engine side? 2. Check thermostat. Whats the likelihood of this being jammed or stuffed or something? Someone suggested just don't run a thermostat. 3. Obviously, check for leaks. Any points I should look into specifically? Thanks in advance for your help guys.
  12. Actually, with their Third Party Property, Justcar cover damage to your car if you are involved in an accident caused by an uninsured vehicle/driver. So thats why.
