  1. OK played with TCS switch today and almost bloody lost control of the car... who woulda known that this tiny little switch is what keeps it so tame I guess that either I'm a lead foot or I really don't know the car well enough yet. The quest goes on...
  2. All this talk about speed and BOOST kinda contradicts the original message/invite stating no stupid behaviour!
  3. So how long do these cruises usually go for? Only asking beacause I have work at 8am and an exam at 1pm the next day...
  4. Brand New and In the Box (only opened to check contents) Unwanted gift as I already have the HC15E which is sufficient, hardly use that one. RRP for $1299.00 but only looking at $600.00 o.n.o. I tried Ebay, but the guy who won the auction didn't pay up... (sell price there was $570.00) Insured postage to anywhere in Australia is available.
  5. This sounds fun... I'm up, finally get to see a whole bunch of you guys!
  6. I'm currently running on Bridgestone Regnos... not too sure about the numbers though.
  7. Thanks everyone for your prompt advice... TCS switch will be experimented with ASAP!!! As for new tyres? I think i'll stay, my tyres are @ 95% at the moment and they aren't bad... Anyways, thanks again... will keep updates on the matter.
  8. See the photo of my driveway
  9. Houston; we have a problem! Take off in the R34 is proving to be quite troublesome at the moment; especially when the ground is wet or has loose materials on it. The Slip signal comes on indicating a loss of traction, the engine loses power and i basically go nowhere. Now this is happening way too much for comfort - up a hill, off the mark on a flat road, and even going up a wet driveway. Is there anyway this can be fixed? Is there a way of restoring power to the engine even when there is slipping? I understand that it is probably a feature installed to stop burnouts, but seriously i just want to get off the mark without someone running up my ass!
  10. Yeah, looks like i'll have to consider the DIY cement job (hope none of you guys are council workers!)... moving the ramp each time is getting quite boring. Thanks Hayai!
  11. Hey all, I'm over in NZ on business at the moment (boring as!). However, one thing I have noticed around here is the abundance of really nice cars... you see imports, luxury, and exotics EVERYWHERE! Some of those cars include: Skyline R34 (4 door non turbo) Skyline R33 Skyline R32 Lamborghini of some sort Ferrari 360 HUMMER 180sx (heaps) 200sx (a few) WRX (heaps) Integras (2 so far) and so on and so on... Looks like the land of the sheep ain't just full of sheep but really packs some serious horsepower! I watched a show the other night apparently boasting a 1000hp GTR!!! WOW! Anyways, back to my really really dull and boring business trip... *SIGH*
  12. I would love to, but unfortunately i'll probably be in NZ for work again (still here as i type this post reply now)... But I'll see what the schedule is like... would love to see and meet other people with similar cars
  13. Yeah man, my MSN should be on the list... feel free to add me Andrew
  14. For the record (just so you don't try to kill me) i'm in a 34 GT-T, a R34!!! Anyways, next time you're going to be around for a cruise, send over an invite yeah? BTW; there are a lot of dickheads in Beacon Hill, especially up near the soccer field (Phillips Lookout)
  15. Thanks for all the replies guys... I guess that i'm happy to know that i'm not the only one who feels the pain each time i hear bad sounds under my car... If anyone comes up with a legal and easy way of getting this problem solved, please come forward... i want to learn. My car is less than a week old, i don't want it scratched yet!!!
  16. Did you have to apply to get the rendering done? I don't want to get in trouble with the council for placing some new structure on the road (hehe, like the ripple strip a few posts ago) Now that would be a sight!
  17. Also don't want my car being in the public eye all the time - target for thieves!
  18. I thought I could leave my car out the front as well... but every night i have these idiots go up and down the street (my street is like a skating ramp, and i'm down the middle). Some go more than 100 clicks, so I don't really want my car to be in their way.
  19. As soon as you do anything to the suspension to stiffen things up, you'll be in for a bumpy ride anyway!
  20. OK how's this one for style on Queen's Birthday... Managed to get my 34 off the street last night and into the garage - forgot to test whether i could get it back out again *DOH!* Anyways, woke up this morning thinking hey let's go for a drive... Umm, I'm Stuck! 09:00 am: Go into back yard 09:15 am: Drag out fat ass plank of wood (the ones used in stairwells) 09:30 am: Began to saw it into 4 planks (1metre each) 10:30 am: Finished with the sawing (it was a very thick plank ok!) 10:45 am: Test 1 10:47 am: HOORAY!!! 10:50 am: Use spray paint to mark plank placings for future ref. 10:55 am: Back car out and zoom zoom zoom! Basically i have put a ----- over this thing that looks like ___/ . The only downside is having to remove them each time you back in or out (about 2 minutes). Otherwise, you risk people stealing the ramps or the council fining you for an unauthorised protrusion from your house. I'll try to get a photo of it today for you all...
  21. Cool... be sure to let me know if you are going cruising or whatever anytime soon - I'll add you to my buddy list. Stan by the way!
  22. My parents would never ever condone or endorse the purchase of a Skyline... the only reason I have one now is because it's been a long hard period of time since I've come out of school!!!
  23. Little hard when you live in the middle of a valley and there is literally a "Grand Canyon" between your driveway and the road - I've tried going sideways - didn't work
