  6. So as a realistic figure - what would be a ballpark on a manual version of my car now considering 380rwkw in the auto? And Trent, could you please elaborate on your last reply to me - I kinda get it, but not really Are you saying that there is no magical %, it's purely a number?
  7. COD4 now sold to Abu

  9. Can't... only saw the SkylinesAustralia.com stickers
  10. Just spotted to f*ckwits in black & silver 33s having a little 'my wang is bigger than yours' on Hunter Street, CBD. Extra style points for the hero in clapped out silver one for almost wiping out a Merc whilst crossing double white lines on a single lane street just so you don't lose your spot behind your bum chum. And yes, you're both on here
  11. Have forwarded this to a mate... he just bought a brand new over flow bottle I'm sure he'll be in touch shortly
  12. That's pretty sad... feel sorry for all those who paid Didn't Steve say that he paid up? Hope it wasn't too much...
  13. I'd kill the man/woman who tries to take apart my Xenon headlights... definite no!
  14. Won't go cheap on a turbo; but IC core is fine... I'm using one from JustJap (600x300x100) and it works great; temperature differences are HUGE to say the least. At $300 for the core compared to $1000+ for a JDM similar, yeah why not. Piping, bit of a hit n miss - I've seen really good stuff come from cheap kits, I've seen terrible stuff come from cheap kits. The JDM piping kits are precision made, fits first time every time. Easy fix - custom piping 1 afternoon, a mate, a bansaw, some masking tape and rulers and beer! Send it to your friend who welds alloy and its done. My FMIC setup cost me around $800 all up (core, piping, joiners, welding), still a whole lot less than going the JDM path. Currently supporting 510hp without any dramas
  15. Interesting... was it the exact same car? Or just two cars of similar spec? Has the auto box been touched at all bar the shift kit? That's a 12.5% loss in your test; so an accurate 'window' would be between 10-15%? Wow... bringing that max % into my numbers, my car would have 450rwkw now if it was manual as opposed to 380rwkw? Mmmm, I think not.
  16. Howie - paint the core! The end tanks make it look out of place; R34s deserve a big IC I hear your logic; but to be honest - even with my JJ FMIC under the 2.5L, response was pretty much the same as with the SMIC.
  17. I've got the R34GTR loom for the F-CON V Pro... happy to sell it cheap if you happen to find parts seperately and not in a package. The only other sensor you need is the MAP sensor; GTRs come standard with the Air Temp Sensor which can be integrated into the F-CON V Pro system. If you decide to stay with AFMs, then you won't need it. Also check which version you're getting, the latest is v3.24 (red sticker)
  18. You obviously haven't been watching the news if you think cops don't use their guns...
  19. This is the most laughable strategy I've heard for a while, even more so that a 'lawyer' came up with it. Will not work: * I'm pretty sure its defectable to not have proper 'control' of your vehicle, much like the 'broken bonnet latch' trick * By going home you will need to leave the car where you stopped it, hope its not on a highway / no-parking / no-stopping zone * Chances are the cop will call in a tow-truck to move it if point 2 is true, chances are it'll be moved to an impound yard. Yeah some lawyer this guy is...
  20. The cheapest price for good quality vacc hose has to be from Otomoto (http://otomoto.com.au/kkr/piping/) $3.90 a metre for 4mm $4.90 a metre for 6mm Only comes in black though - which was not a problem for me since it was the colour code of my engine bay They're great to deal with too, rapid delivery and most helpful when it comes to enquiries.
  21. I believe from memory it's a special hose - 2mm ID going into the port in the plenum and 4mm at the sender. You'll be hard pressed to find such a hose so you can either 1) find a step-up/down adaptor (plastic one will do) or 2) use a 4mm hose and just wrap a small zip tie around the inlet port to hold it down.
  22. I once experimented with the 'coke bottle lid' - lasted all of 1 day then the thing melted Bit the bullet and looked into a proper Turbosmart Alloy Bung - wasn't expensive so got one of those instead. I don't use it anymore, so if anyone is keen, shoot me a PM - yours for REAL cheap!
  23. I have a spare Triple Gauge cluster lying around at home - PM for details if you're keen
  24. There is a small black box with a vacc hose running into it (located in the engine bay, just in front of the driver side of the firewall) - follow this hose and make sure its connected - if there is nothing wrong with your turbo, this will be the problem.
  25. Cool - hope she holds together this time!
