  1. Just got back from lunch I'm not running a AFM; I'm running a Denso MAP Sensor (5bar) which is an integrated unit with my ECU. Mod list to follow!
  2. Yeah; bets are being placed on those 2 items; there's nothing else that could be wrong. We did find that there was a small leak at the air temp sensor used by the F-CON but that equated to 0.01bar at 7,200rpm so we weren't too concerned (still this will be welded up and sealed) If anyone has any different suggestions/opinions please feel free to shout out!
  3. Yeah thanks; already looking into a HKS one Beer Baron and you are correct; feels damn quick in the mid range as it's got 18psi pushing it along - just wish it held boost Munna1; thanks for that information - didn't know that
  4. Hi everyone, Took my car in for a full re-tune on Friday 01/09/06 after installing a new batch of goodies... spent all day at it once again (literally) and came out a very happy man; yet not so happy (you know what I mean). Tuner spent most of the day mapping the fuel maps and the ignition maps making sure they're all perfect and smooth - I kid you not; they're SMOOTH!!! Came out of the room with 225.31rwkw @ 10psi - we had hit a boost "leak" problem. EDIT: Dyno Graph Uploaded 060906 PROBLEM: With the EBC (cheapy hybrid one) set at 18psi; it built up boost quickly (1bar by 3,500rpm and full by 4,500rpm) but at 5,500rpm onwards it dropped/leaked back down to 10psi. This resulted in my lower than expected max power figure. Had the boost held 18psi all the way to 7,200rpm redline; we're certain we'd be up around the 250-265 area. Anyways; what I'm wondering is what the cause of this is... there are a few theories: 1) The Boost Controller 2) The Wastegate Actuator (still stock) Want to get the right answer so when I get sick of this 225rwkw feeling; I'll fix it up and get it tuned once more. Just want to know what the cause is so I can get the right parts to fix it up. At the moment the car is awesome; very smooth! Big round of applause to the guys at BD4s for spending all day on it and getting it perfect to what it's capable of. Many thanks to Mitch and Trent from NBP for also taking the time to be there and work on the car when solving the problems. Will post up a dyno graph tomorrow; left it at home~ Stan
  5. Shhh n15m0; my car is stock.... Anyways; got off the dyno on Friday with 225.31rwkw @ 10psi of boost... had a boost leak issue (will post up a proper thread about it later today). Funny thing is that it shoots to 18psi by 4,500rpm - holds till 5,500rpm then slowly drops back to 10psi by 7,200rpm. 1 bar of boost was reached by 3,500rpm. Pulls like a motherF' when the boost kicks in; just not up high New boost controller for me; and maybe some welding!
  6. BUMPING!!!
  7. BASTARD!!! Got me too!
  8. Hi all; I'm after a good Electronic Boost Controller... one with all the bells n whistles Also after a BOV with an adaptor to suit the R34; atmo-venting is what I need I believe... Thanks all; show me what you got! Stan

    Again

    YOU DA MAN PETE!!!!
  10. Just re-read this... the SZ does come with a base map and if you buy the Navigator you can actually tune the SZ with it Might be worth looking at but yeah that may be your option
  11. Got a phone call this morning from HK with good news... someone wrote off a GTR and yah; the wreckers won't be doing much with the MFD
  12. Not a clue in hell... they were a "hand me down" from a mate who got them at a ex-owner's garage sale.
  13. Unfortunately yes BD4s are the only authorized HKS Power Writers in Australia Means you either come here or they fly to you... There are rumors of other places being able to tune them too; but none have really become reality.
  14. SK; is your motor stock standard?
  15. My car's going on a dyno tomorrow.... it's pretty much stock; I'll post some results after!
  16. Where did you buy these seats from? They look identical to the JustJap ones...
  17. I would be extremely picky about who you take that job to mate (window removal)... the rear quarter glass is 'formed' onto the rubber (comes from Nissan like that). It's meant to be single use and only good window guys will even try get it out without braking 1) the window and 2) the mould. If you are in Sydney; shoot me a PM... I had to have this done and it took me a month of calling before I found the right guy. Did an awesome job, and the removal/transfer was flawless. FYI; this rear quarter glass from Nissan from memory is about $600
  18. Last time I read the forum rules; offers were NOT acceptable... post a price up buddy.
  19. Pro Tuner or Power Writer?
  20. Lookout; James is angry... and he's got a keyboard But I agree; accidents waiting to happen... NB: Space savers make for very interesting burnouts
  21. Wire it them to ignition... then you will ALWAYS have a rave party inside your car
  22. Hope you have an oil temp sendererer plate thingy ma bob...
  23. OK I've been advised that this is also known as Latency
  24. Hey all; My next tune with all the new goodies is happening this Friday and I am in need of one piece of information for it to go ahead smoothly. I will be using the SARD 650cc injectors for the ER34 and require the "dead time" for them. Tuner says it's important for the tune so I'm going to try my best to get this information. Can anyone help me out; had a look on the net; came up with ZILCH! So for all you Google masters out there; please help! URL to SARD 650cc (with English): http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl=en&am.../language_tools Thanks in advance; life saver! Stan
