  1. Got a PM late last night from GTshortie... twas him who saluted
  2. You're crazy right? My car lifts even with straps front and back - there is no way in hell I'd let it go on a dyno without a minimum of rear straps! Not just to protect the car but also the people in front of it!!!
  3. Last time I was out at Just Jap they had some and were nowhere near $65 each... I learnt this from my mate though, make sure you get the proper V-Band for your flanges as they are not all the same!
  4. Spotted some asian dude crossing the street at the top of North Sydney around 6/7pm... nothing special I know, except he stopped in front of my car and saluted?
  5. All goneskies...
  6. Well if the buyer pikes out tonight, I'll let you know... but he's pretty keen, PMed me like straight away.
  7. Gee... very encouraging... I guess if I come I should keep on cruising then.
  8. Sold! Being picked up tonight... thanks for looking~
  9. So I guess the organizer should change the event details then - I'd hate for people to bring their pride and joys to the event only to have their asses reamed. I figured as much though, no such arrangement could possibly be reached as you are not putting on a stationary show - you are driving on a public road.
  10. I've got up for sale two pairs of Prada sunglasses for MEN. Purchased them from a mate without really looking at them and decided they just don't suit my face, I'm very picky with my sunglasses so my loss is your gain. Have no idea what the model numbers are but they are 100% genuine. For those sunglass fiends out there, the photos will verify that the styles do exist. Photos: Price: $250.00 each or $400.00 for both Location: North Shore - pickup or delivery via post anywhere in Australia. What you get... * Sunglasses * Genuine Prada Case * Genuine Prada Cleaning Cloth * Prada Certificate of Authenticity Will make for a great X'Mas present, and it definitely beats paying full price at the retailers...
  11. Can't be 100% but my RB2630 is using my old NEO balancer...
  12. Well each to their own... from experience, the sale of NEO motors have never been an easy task (I've personally sold 2 now, one complete and one not so complete) Electronics, I'm pretty sure you'll have a few things more than just the temp gauge not working. And one of these guys is doing the conversion to an Auto - what's your solution to that one? And please don't say take the box out and replace with a manual...
  13. Have you got anything in writing from the authorities stating that no cars will be defected if they are part of your event? Some mates and I might be keen on going, but not if it turns into a full on defect station like some other events in the past.
  14. Sorry to burst your bubble... BUT: * Intake pipe: - Hole - either already there or drill one = free - 90 degree bend - provided you have a FMIC not using the original hole, you will have a standard one lying around = free - Piece of pipe to put in bend - Bunnings? PVC Tube from Plastic store? = $10 max? - 2 x 3" hose clamps = $10? * Pod bracket: - completely unecessary with the heat shield holding the AFM in place - or if you must, and you have an Apexi kit, it comes with the bracket - or if you don't, piece of aluminum and bend, drill two holes and mount = $5 for off cut of aluminum * Heat Shield: - sheet metal = $50 max for more than enough to make the shield - rivets / bolts = $5 I don't believe we've even hit the $80 mark yet...
  15. OK we're back... couldn't help myself and went out for some clean-up tuning; had a small flat spot around 3,500-4,000rpm. Ended up re-mapping a lot of it as I wanted to pump a bit more boost into it. Anywho ended up with 380rwkw / 509rwhp on 19psi... didn't get a torque figure as I didn't go back into the dyno room after the street tune. All I can say is this; MV Automatics have done an AWESOME job with both the gearbox and the flex plate. Project R34 - SATANIC now officially fries tyres in 3rd gear Considering there's only 4 in the tiptronic box, it's a pretty big statement I would highly recommend Mike and his products to any R34 owner who is looking to reach Mars as well.
  16. Haha, you mean you were one of the people who didn't stick their fingers in their ears?
  17. Ah yes... but good luck with making half the electronics in the car work. My RB25 was rooted anyway so I couldn't care less how much it sold for... I did however strip out all the goodies from it and sell off one or two items that were not needed anymore (to people chasing those exact parts). Made back more money than my blown RB25 would've ever made, loom or no loom. If he's spending the money and getting a RB26 put in, I highly doubt the sale value of the 25 would even matter - I know in my case it didn't.
  18. What's been done to the car? I had a simliar issue which I fixed up on the dyno today... ended up being a lean spot between 3,500 and 4,000rpm. You'll find it's not a set speed zone, but a RPM zone as your engine revs + boost hit a specific area of the map that is bad / incomplete. Please don't say your car is stock - if so, I wish you luck in the diagnosis
  19. BOV = *fap* *fap* *fap* *fap* *fap* Why do you want one? The noise it makes is an absolute giveaway to any cop, it's the most recognizable modification, and will do nothing but land you in hot water. I still remember the day I ripped my BOV off - haven't looked back since
  20. It's a shame we had issues with the boost - it pulled 380rwkw today on 19.7psi after a slight re-tune. Fries thirds
  21. +1 on Doyles being absolute crap these days... Most of the spots I was going to say have already been said; but let me know if you're in the Milsons / Kirribilli area; I can dress up and come 'rob' you, you can take swings at me and connect at $500 a hit, making you look like hero = cream in pants & sexeh timez! Hell, my best mate lives around the corner, can't get any dodgier than that (2 Asian guys, always dodgier than one )
  22. FordyR31 thanks for the vid & pics
  23. That's GREAT NEWS indeed... I'm very surprised about the 'undamaged' bit - makes me think that the guy who took it was a pro, but n00bed out after he got it (hence the discovery). Was a culprit ID'ed and apprehended?
  24. Hence why my car is not stored anywhere near the RTA's registered address for me
