  1. Hi all, Received a phone call from some worried mates asking if I was involved in a serious accident tonight... they had driven past Belrose to find a white R34 written off... simple call out of concern; both were happy to hear I was ok and it wasn't me. Straight from the call: "White R34, looked exactly the same as yours with the same wheels (Impuls). Looks like a coke can" Anyways, cops ambos and the fire service were all present. I made a few calls to some local R34 owners just out of concern; luckily no one I know - I hope whoever it was got out OK and was not hurt *from the sounds of it this is unlikely* Play it safe people; when it's wet, slow the f**k down! If anyone has more information; please post it up - saddens me that so many people are writing off their Skylines of late. Stan
  2. GO TO JAIL; GO DIRECTLY TO JAIL; DO NOT PASS GO! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET A LISCENCE AGAIN~

  7. Castor Rods or Castor Bushes... I went for the Castor Rods
  8. There is nothing wrong with public transport... what could be more class than cruising around with 50 other people; driven by a professionally trained driver; being issued with your individual boarding ticket; and in a luxurious Merc/Volvo without seatbelts? Best of all you get the lovely aromas that waft around - and if you're real lucky you might rub against someone who's sweating like a pig! PS: your life is not over; you're still alive - you're just going to spend the rest of your life in misery
  9. Rip that 20B out and start getting it ported!!!
  10. ^^ that is correct... this is because the centre console of the R34 flares outwards as you go up like this: \ / The climate control would need to be wider to fit in the new position if you were to incorporate the double DIN space. If anyone can get the fascia for the double DIN space; or the part number from Nissan that would be awesome; I will love you! Every time I've tried to get the part number; I've failed miserably~
  11. Sorry to hear muck; I know exactly how you feel... I had my windows smashed in a theft attempt (they didn't steal anything though)... it's a complete pain in the arse to find the parts required - especially the rear quarter window!!! Hope your insurance sorts it all out (if you're going that way) and your car is back on the road soon.
  12. Hope the weather stays good for you guys... it's been kinda freaky lately; sunny one moment; pouring the next
  13. You owe me one times case of beer! Told you those guys are awesome; which is why we always send our exhaust stuff straight to them. No bullshit; no waiting and no holes in the wallet! Cheers B-Man *aren't you glad I PMed you now
  14. The way that is set up is for the R34s that came out with the TV Screen instead of the Triple Gauge Cluster... Howie; your car would have had the TV Screen on top - I'm assuming you have replaced it with the gauge pod (from the looks of it anyway) Peteness; you can either remove the TV screen and put the triple gauges in like Howie; or you can rig the TV Screen up to another DVD player of some sort and watch stuff off it You have PM.
  15. For a manual I'd say that is quite poor fuel economy - some guys I've heard are getting 500km from their manuals *lucky for some ehh*
  16. Should help it out...
  17. Add on the total number of hours used building those JayCar kits multiply by $60.00 per hour (we'll go extremely cheap labour rates here) and you probably end up with the same price. Furthermore; sure there are those who are genii with electronics and can do everything - I for one am not; and would not take the risk of trusting a kit which controls everything in my car which I made myself (low self esteem Also; the last time I looked for a S-ITC; I couldn't find one for sale within Australia. People overseas wanted something like $300USD.
  18. And FYI people who "think" they can tune the HKS F-CON stuff should seriously think very hard before saying so... only authorized HKS Power Writer Dealers are supposed to be able to tune them; you need special software and hardware. On the HKS USA site it actually states people will be sued if illegitimate claims of tuning capabilities are made (dunno how true this is). Probably adds to the reason why there is almost nothing on the internet which tells you exactly what the F-CON does.
  19. Well I didn't pay $3,000 - that's just what brand new pricing would be; I ended up paying about $2k with all the bells and whistles; installed and tuned. Funny thing was BD4s replaced my ECU with a brand new upgraded version along with half the harnesses I supplied Anyways, each to their own - this topic usually gets very heated so yeah~
  20. Unfortunately you won't be able to fit a aftermarket headunit into that area without the gap
  21. mad082; funny guy~ White_Thing; 250km was a once off - we were doing some really stupid things Normally floats around the 350-400km mark.
  22. Information on the HKS F-CON V Pro online is limited to what is pretty much written on the box; HKS are quite secretive with this department (not sure why) $3k would be for the ECU; Loom; Installation and Tune... you will need to pay more if you want to run a MAP sensor etc. I personally cannot offer you heaps of technical information regarding what it does down to the finite point; but I can tell you that it does work with the tiptronic automatic; and yes it will work with the Attesa. Look on overseas car forums; there will be a stack of information on it - UK, JP and USA. If you're still unsure; contact Tom @ BD4s. I've also been told that CRD now do tuning for this; not 100% sure on it though.
  23. That's the one; it's cheaper on Nengun though by around $60
  24. That's one section I won't be doing sorry Deciding on whether to stick with the CF Airbox or get a Aluminum one made up and polish that ?!?
  25. Oh in that case no it's ABS Plastic
