  1. For future reference, you should always try to park outside the Woolworths entrances (either outside or inside the BigW carpark). There's more human-traffic flowing through those two areas than any other part of the mall in terms of parking areas - thieves would be less keen on stealing something in front a passers-by.
  2. Now that I am awake & sober again... Great to see you all yesterday; my votes of thanks go to (in no particular order) * SAU team for organizing, venue, event, food etc... * UAS for hosting and staffing - especially to Mr. Dyno Man (Ben I believe?) for the extra runs... * GTRsean for the spy shot (and somehow NOT getting me in the photo) * All the people who were good enough to share info about their cars / development process * Everyone there for not being complete tossers and putting on a positive atmosphere unlike a few other days we've been to(girls appreciated that, first comment made after we left) Ended the day with 326.9rwkw - had some boosting issues, and had to run a lower amount compared to when we made 350. Goal for 2009 - break 400rwkw
  3. Interested to know where you were parked at Warringah Mall... not many cars get stolen from that area - grew up there and all's been relatively peaceful! Please give more info, I have a tonne of mates n family still living in the immediate surrounds of that mall.
  4. Cool... so's mine *high 5* Funniest thing having people look at the engine bay and go WOAHHH, then look at the gearstick and go OMGWTFWOAHHHH!
  5. *fap* *fap* *fap* *fap* *fap* *fap* Just get out there with something... *fap* *fap* *fap* *fap* *fap* *fap*
  6. Good point, what's the weather like tomorrow?
  7. ^ I like THIS one...
  8. There is only ONE sensor that you will have trouble with... stuff it up and you'll not only be forking out a f'load for a replacement from Nissan, but also waste a LOT of time n effort. I'm not very keen on letting this little secret out of the bag - took us a while to conjour up and pull off without making any mistakes (fortunately bang on the money first go). However, if you are serious about doing it, everything is negotiable including the plans / measurements
  9. Oh also, unless you have an aftermarket computer capable of running high and low impedance injectors, you'll need that gay resistor pack modification Fortunately for me, my ECU caters for everything under the sun so it was a simple change of settings.
  10. I'm keen on knowing why Mr Tuner does not recommend them... the are a tried and tested product. When I mean a whole heap of other things, you'll need a new rail - the bolts don't 100% line up, the FPR location isn't ideal, and the overall fitment of the rail doesn't quite work. Been there done that, we were going to re-use the 650cc SARDs from my NEO in the RB2630 build we did, ended up ditching that idea after finding out the amount of work necessary. Ended up swapping the 650cc injectors for a set of SARD 800cc RB26 injectors that a mate had bought incorrectly. Up to you though... if you got money to burn, everything is possible.
  11. Yeah, stupid me - giving away parts for free Gave away one too many so it seems... chasing a oil temp sender, the one that screws into the Oil Filter adapter on the RB25. Would be nice to have the Oil Temp gauge working again on the R34 Somebody must have one lying around...
  12. Quick question - how long does it take your cars to reach operating temp (we'll go by water temp) From dead-cold to 80 degrees, it takes my donk about 5-6minutes... is this on par with other RB30s? Overall the engine does run quite hot, especially on the turbo side
  13. Couple of reasons - * The NEO does not respond as well as the RB26 to power modifications; so in terms of bang-for-buck in the long run, the 26 is a better option * There are a LOT more options for the RB26 than the NEO in terms of aftermarket parts and availability * The NEO was designed to be a 'eco-friendly' engine, too much crap on the motor that limits it from the beginning * RB26 has 6 TBs * RB26 has a superior plenum design, much shorter FMIC piping path = better response Besides all the above, having a RB26 in your car sounds better than having a RB25 in there
  14. I think you'll find that it doesn't have more sensors... But then again, nothing is stopping this guy from transferring all the sensors from the 25, onto the 26 - it'll make life a lot easier (apart from 1 or 2 sensors which will need to be a custom job)
  15. It's possible to run the RB26 using your RB25 loom... just depends how much work you want to put in I don't believe that the RB26 engine mounts are required in doing the conversion; my 30 just dropped straight in and we're still using the 25 mounts.
  16. Err why don't you just go for the SARD units, they are a straight fit for the NEO - come in 650cc or 800cc The RB26 injectors will not fit without a new rail and a whole heap of other small mods to adapt it to the RB25 NEO stuff...
  17. Only 2 more sleeps~
  18. I'd have thought that they'd at least have made sure it fired up properly before calling you down for an inspection... but I know your pain after such a long time, I wasn't there when the car was first started up - but I had it streamed realtime onto the internet so I could watch at work Thanking my lucky stars it all went as planned...
  19. Check your coils / spark plugs?
  20. That's a very weird problem to have... my 2630 started first turn, was a little rattly for the first 5 seconds, then came to life like normal. I HIGHLY doubt your HKS Twin Power is faulty unless you guys did a splice/dice wiring job - you just got the plug-in loom right?
  21. Needs bigger wheels and a good lowering.... otherwise a nice ride; not too sure about the location of the AVCR/RSM though
  22. Will have 10mm (rear) and 15mm (front) spacers put on this week to give the car a beefier look... picked these alloy spacers up in Japan back in May, never got around to installing them, should look nice as the widths will bring the wheels out just enough to meet the edge of the guards. BTW; who's going to the NSW Dyno Day on Saturday?
  23. Make that satanic + 1 (possibly 2) thanks...
  24. Fair enough
  25. A week in advance???
