Kaaz 1.5 Lsd Feedback
satanic replied to THE_350GT's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Sorry to sound like an absolute no-brainer but could someone give me a paragraph or two on how a diff works and what makes it good? I've been told to invest in one but have no idea about them so I need to do some research first. Thanks guys! -
R34 lighter stays inside the socket until it gets VERY HOT and pops out... I'm always afraid I might miss the hole and burn something when putting it back. I had a non working lighter socket before, turned out being a disconnected wire (they used some sort of clip which came loose).
-
I've got one available but it's in Sydney...
-
So does this mean the diff is crap for a street driven car? I've been told to look for a new diff but have no idea how they work or what is good/bad.
-
That's a great DIY; I think your concerns about sand and crap going into your timing belt area can be avoided if you manage to put some sort of filter over the hole on the cam cover. Something like wire mesh or flyscreen material.

Hi everyone I have the factory suspension setup from a R34GTT (coupe) for sale... it was taken off and replaced with coilovers. Items have done 50,000kms and from inspection are in top condition! Price is $300.00 + Postage (would prefer pickup) If anyone is interested, post it up here or send me a PM. Thanks Stan

I have one available... make me an offer. It's the auto ECU from a R33GTST.
-
Any chance of getting some more photos of the seats (front, side and back) in full detail? Also, I have a coupe; how is this going to affect people climbing into the back as they're fixed buckets
-
Finally, what modifications are necessary to make the harness fit the car?
-
How sure are you that the rails will fit the R34? And more importantly, which Japanese brand are these seats?

Where are you located?

Who Has Installed Their Group Buy Hid Kit?
satanic replied to Xizor's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I wouldn't install them as Hi Beams only... simply because these take a little while to warm up and get to their optimal brightness... unless you live in an area where you drive around with hi beams on all the time, this kit would be a waste of money. -
Fuel Injector Mystery - Premature Maxxing Out
satanic replied to satanic's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Is that the direct-wire modification that Cubes did on his 32? If so then that sounds like an easy fix. I'll have the pressures checked tonight, will correct it to stock levels if we find it's not doing so good I'll look more closely at the re-wiring as well. Thanks guys, help is greatly appreciated - if anyone has anymore bright ideas/solutions - please post it up! -
Where are you located, interested in the V3

Fuel Injector Mystery - Premature Maxxing Out
satanic replied to satanic's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hmm that's interesting... any links to how to re-wire the pump? Should I even bother considering the stock pump will be going back in and a Bosch 044 used instead of a 040? -
G4 Coilovers - Anyone Have Them? Review?
satanic replied to ix9's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Read my post above... it all went in smoothly and works just fine. Compared to stock suspension they are as stiff as most other wangs out there Nick is right though, any company that markets something for "track" or "drift" use should be prepared to honour any warranty claim of damage from events that are just as described. This is of course provided you didn't take your car off-roading and say it was "kinda like a track" -
Fuel Injector Mystery - Premature Maxxing Out
satanic replied to satanic's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
We installed the FPR ourselves and it was set to 39PSI from memory; unless it's been changed since I cannot say much else about it. Pump flow should be ok as it's coming from a Bosch 040. We ripped it all out for an inspection the other day before the track day and it was doing fine. We even replaced the fuel filters while we were at it. Tuner says that at no point throughout the tune was the A/F ratio ever above 12:1 - he said it was tuned to pretty much a flat line across the 12:1 ratio. If we do find that the pressure is very low right now; should I wind it back to say 40PSI? More? Will this affect the tune in any way? or will it adjust by itself... -
Fuel Injector Mystery - Premature Maxxing Out
satanic replied to satanic's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I don't think anyone has set it up... so should I just set it to say 38PSI if I find out it's a lot less? -
Fuel Injector Mystery - Premature Maxxing Out
satanic replied to satanic's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sweet guys! I'll have the pressure checked tonight if I can... do I need to run it on a dyno again? From what you guys are saying, would it be that I'm running to little pressure through the fuel system? More Information: My fuel system comprises of a Bosch 040, a Nismo Fuel Reg and brand new fuel filters (1 week old). This week the 040 will be scrapped in place for the stock pump running into a fuel surge tank and then a Bosch 044 -
Hi everyone, need some technical advice or explanation on what the go is with my current situation... I have managed to somehow max out my stock injectors to 99% duty cycle with a power figure of under 200rwkw. Something is definitely not right as this translates to 266hp which is below the figure that the stock injectors on a R34GTT are capable of sustaining. Is there any possible reason that this could be happening? Has anyone had something similar happen to them and what was the cause/solution? It's got everyone scratching their heads - hoping that someone will have an answer. Thanks Stan
