  1. Had a chance to stop by Bc automotive and cavehill engines services to see the progress. I thought the car had to many bars previously, but now it has an additional 7 bars to stiffen up the front.
  2. lol, even if you sneeze you get pinned these days, we usaully do "on track events" which is 95db and they don't seem to mind much about noise, although they are pricey at about $800 for the day its definately worth it as you get heaps of track time with drivers that don't slow you down with traffic. Might have to modify the exhaust some how, we still have our old full length exhaust sitting there too
  3. Definately keeping it single turbo guys, that massive turbo was laying around at the cage fabricators and thought it would look cool for a snap shot. Freak'n huge turbo
  4. Confirmed for open class, great to see some crazy builds this year. Anyone from melb or is coming to melb for a track day send us a message, great to get all the cars out together.
  5. Thinking maybe we should run a twin turbo set up again, what are your thoughts?
  6. No problem I understand, we will be testing shortly if you would like to bring your car along? I've spoken to Freddie bout this as well. I already have a carbon boot/bonnet/doors/headlights/wing.... Carbon shaft and battery on the list, more important places to spend cash at the moment as its easy to get carried away, I am more interested in spending as much time in the car at the track to set it up. Ill pm you details.
  7. Had these photos sent today, progress on the painting side of things. Will go check out the car on Friday, might stop bye and see how the engine is coming along too. Big thanks Andrew from Kinzy paint and panel, appreciate your work buddy.
  8. That title is so close you can smell it.... Come get it. Hehe
  9. This is Paul's new set up....crazy. He should smash my time, that is till we go back out again lol. And this is joes car we are both trying to beat, 1.36 to beat. We have all been fighting it out for a while, all in good fun.
  10. Haven't tuned it up yet but the power will be 450-500rwkw, using the 6466 precision turbo. When dean drove the car last we had also increased tyre size from 265 to 305 width with the full race controller, so can't say exactly how much contribution the controller on its own was but the feedback was that he didn't get any wheel spin out of corners...it would just grip up and shoot out of the turns. Especially out of Honda corner which always spun, were running about 420-440 kw at the time, dean turned the controller all the way up. Now this combination actually caused us an issue which we never had before....oil surge, hence the dry sump set up. It's got so much mechanical grip.
  11. Looking forward to hearing back on your results when ready, pm when all good and running, cheers.
  12. Paul Cahill is a mate that actually put me on to using the full race controller, I just don't understand how the ruzic controller uses GPS feedback, doesnt gps have delayed response time also? how does the same map benefit different set up cars. Confused as I'm not that educated on the device so hence me asking if people have used and how they find it. I'll post some photos of Paul's new aero set up, it's crazy, paul and I are actually fighting it out for fastest lap times at the island.
  13. Gonna reinstall the full race torque split controller when it gets wired. It's an awesome product that works, and so easy to use If anyone that reads this post that has used the ruzic and full race controller I would love to hear your feedback and experiences with them.
  14. 12 inch uprights, you can order up to 16inch which they have and would get your wing above roofline, ours could go another inch or so higher to be level with the roofline, can go higher again for more downforce but the rules won't permit us. We are gonna do some more testing to see how balanced the car is before we try and add more rear downforce. The wing works fantastic at Phillip island in the past in the old set up, sydney motorsport park will be a different story as the corner speeds are not as fast as the island.
  15. Aircraft Exhausts Australia Pty Ltd Stainless Steel Products & Equipment - Boronia, VIC 2 Glenann Crt, Boronia VIC 3155 PHONE (03) 9762 6290
  16. Some driftworks suspension hooks up the rear end
  17. Shy? It's a build thread dude start posting. Definitely reinforced the boot, boys made a frame under the boot, that the wing attaches too, so boot and wing are one, then braced to boot chassis so the wing and boot come off in one piece.
  18. 0.9 aircraft stainless steal, can purchase from few different places, it's extremely light and works perfect for our build
  19. Not sure if the movie will play, wouldn't for me for some reason.
  20. Aeromotions rear wing in test mode video clip, although it can't be used in that mode for time attack we will make it static and also remove the computer controlling it which weighs 2-3kg. trim.Q5t1Fy.MOV
  21. Dean made up an aircraft aluminium stainless steel side exhaust which you can pick up with 2 fingers. Eliminating the old full length exhaust saving around 12 kg. Needs to be modified to fit through the new side skirts.
  22. While I'm waiting for the painting, thought I'd share some other work that has been carried out by dean and Brett over the years. Ap racing front and rear brakes, with brake bias adjustment. These were a massive step up in stopping performance from the csc brakes in the past. Also repositioned the oil cooler to the side vent which solved the engine oil temp getting hot after even 2 laps in the past.
  23. Any idea how many Victorian cars are competing? Congrats on club class dude, will be a fun few days. I've noticed Wtac aren't posting all competitors as most cars aren't ready yet, and they are building up the hype.
  24. Hey 9krpm, I see your building a weapon, Freddie from top stage was talking about your beast. Will your car be ready?
  25. The interesting part when fitting up the side skirts in front of the rear tyre the air would stall(wool tuft would just fall), so we pulled the side skirts out just a little in line with the wheel and it would flow perfect without the tufts stalling. So we will fit it up like this and painted by Tuesday. Thanks heaps for your work on the oil pan, speedy return and great work.
