  1. All good points! I have attached AFR chart. Yep, it looks like it richens up at the switch point......petty obvious, should have noticed. Boost curve is fine, no movement there. Will also do on and off dyno and overlay.
  2. No he hasn't tried that, might see what he thinks. I just came from his shop and he mentioned he wasn't 100% sure whether the inlet cam timing is at 0° or not. He thinks it's advanced as per factory setting and might be worth making sure it's at 0° as per Tomei recommendations.

  4. I have Tomei Poncams installed and from day one my power/torque curve has dropped off when VCT is switched at the high RPM setting. My tuner has had to fiddle with the VCT RPM switch point to smooth out power as best he can but it's still evident. He's tried between 4500-5700rpm and has the best result at 5300rpm I think, but I might be wrong....it doesn't matter what exact RPM, since the point is that Tomei promote the fact that the Poncams SMOOTH out the power at this very point, but mine is the opposite!! Anyone seen this before and fixed it? Dyno attached, green line is the one that is important. Cheers.
  5. Thread too long to check, but I understand RB30 stock rods are tougher than RB25 rods? By how much and why? I hear they can handle ~400rwkW with all tuning working well.

  10. Guys, I have modded R33 that almost never gets driven these days, no time. On average once per month. Any reliability or maintenance issues with car layed up like that? Cheers.
  11. Guys, Just got my car back from Provident Crash in Glynde. A wanker hit me up the arse, inattentive driving as usual, and gave the old Skyline rear end some half decent damage. A number of people recommended him and it was justified. It looks real good, I'm very happy. I also got him to repaint my entire front end, so car looks pretty much new. Just speak to Paul, top stuff.

  13. I reckon the P FC will be fine, looks like a factory unit really. I think you'll be suprised that it will be OK. I reckon some people have really overstated the issue here in SA, RELATIVE to other states.
  14. Hmmm, it totally depends on level of mods. If you can list them then it would be pretty easy for us to ascertain. Also if it look ricey then it'll make it harder.

  20. Apart from that you think it's great..... Seriously, thanks for the input. Photo of turbine end attached. I had the dodgy looking turbine back plate machined flush so that at least the turbine and wastegate flow was unrestricted.

For a while I've had a the following turbo: - CHRA GT30/40 (61/82mm "600HP" comp wheel and 60/55mm exhaust) - Machined out 0.60A/R comp cover (don't know which type, as in T04E etc etc) - 0.63A/R "Cosworth" internal gate turbine housing I'd like help with identifying my comp cover (pic attached). Thanks in advance.
