  1. Dave what sort of km's has your box done since you built it? Do you use the clutch for upshifting? I had my PPG straight cut dog pulled down and inspected after about 6000kms of use Street (85%) Hard driving 15%, it had a very small amounts of wear on the dogs maybe due to the fact i always use the clutch for shifting i find it way to rough otherwise..
  2. What spring does your wastegate have inside Stre180 20psi possiblly? Keep your spring as close to your target boost as possible so your controller doesn't have to work as hard...
  3. Which black top late s13 or s14? Just noticed its marked on the ecu s13...

  10. Im happy to say i fixed my oil being pumped out the breather pipe problem on my ppg gearbox... What i did was add another breather pipe to the inspection plate on the top of the box where you can see the selector plate... I then ran both breathers up to a high point in the engine bay and now have no loss of oil from either pipes no mater how hard its being driven...
  11. 9krpm your in luck about a month or so ago i sent united fuel stations a email asking about e85 and they replied mid to late july it would be available from there virgina station. Hope your local..
  12. Try a different crank angle sensor. I had the same problem couple years ago had good spark but the injector pulse looked weak this was tested with a noid light.. I spent days trying to figure out the problem not concerned with the CAS because i had some pulse from the injectors with great spark.. I changed out the CAS to eliminate almost everything on the car and it instantly fired up and ran as normal.... Hope its something simple and remember rb20 silver top uses the same CAS...
  13. Sorry the topic didnt say anything about pulp only torque curves.. 545hp was at all 4 wheels aswell by the way..
  14. This was done in shootout mode actually. The corrections are on this sheet so no funny bussiness.. Have since done somemore tunning on a brand new 4wd dyno with some vp109.. 545awhp was my 98 tune... It has run hi 10's but with crappy 60ft 1.99 then got booted cause the lack of safety gear..106mph 1/8 133 terminal so if i can get 60ft times down times should come down a far way. The car is as nissan sold it so theres nothing removed as yet.. As i said 2530's ftw..
  15. Mid size twins are hard to beat when it comes to nice torque curves... 2530's ftw
  16. Ran one with the electronic controller for about 1 week but it started blowing shut under wot. I tried to run a bit more spring pressure to hold it in the fully open position then the electronic controller started having problems with the extra load i added.. Electronic is a waste of time maybe the manual one might work ok...
  17. Maybe Dan's got an excessive stock of (Adjustable) cam gear his trying to off load before the end of finacial year to anyone with ignition problems...
  18. Sorry Dan i run 150psi bfp via a mechanical pump and dont have to worry about cam gears as it runs pneumatic operated valves another JHH mod they do... Coil packs are splitfires so virtually a standard coil regardless of that johns engines just seem to make great power at the end of the day..
  19. Old john definitely knows a thing or two about porting cylinder heads ect... I have one of his heads on my car i just dyno'd 630awhp, vp109, 2530's 26psi with more to go.. Surprising thing is this was done with a standard ignition module in place and plugs gapped to .8mm.. Read about alot of people having trouble with ignition break down at around 400rwkw then having to add DLI and gapping down.. I guess when the heads done right its not so hard to get the whole combustion process going.. But again fantasic results it must be a awesome car to drive..... Ryan
  20. Nice results who's responsible for the cylinder head modifications?
