How big are your rims? Could go bigger rotor and get adaptor brackets to suit the nissan caliper. Several companies do them. Global in Japan, or local places. Someone on SAU was at one stage. Have heard this is better than the brembos....True the factory brembos aren't the same as their aftermarket goodies, but hell they look cool and work a treat.

8hrs is what it took me, no engine out.......I had to take the damn thing out to do oil pump though.

Hi all, I've looked and cant find...I know it was here somewhere. The little bulbs in the switches and the climate control on a R32 whats the actual rating? I know its 12v, but what amperage? Thanks
-
Funny how i fit them for a living. Oh well. If you cant swap a box in a skyline in an afternoon then you obviously are a slow worker.
-
For $1000 dollars I'll do it here at home, yes I am qualified. Seriously to remove a auto and fit a manual is not going to cost a grand. Its an afternoons work at best. These performance shops make me mad, they'll build you a motor super cheap, but any job that should be easy, whaamo, big bucks, I cant work them out. I used to work at a Importer in Adelaide and we were charging $1500 fitted inc parts. (obviously not rb25 box, but other vehicles)

Its too hard to fit oil jets to a RB30, I know of one shop that used five blocks before he found one that could take all size jets. The sand cast blocks of the RB30 was just to inconsistant with its core shift during casting for consistant fitting of the jets

Alright, Ill post back here when I find the part number. Theyŕe off a R32 GTR that was imported for race use, but the motor was knocking so the vehicle was stripped. Has anyone else had to get GTR turbo numbers off turbos whilst in the car??? Last time I tried I could see the front turbo number, but it didn have air con so was a bit easier, still a bitch to see thou

Hi all, Looking for the door striker (latch or various other names) that bolts on the B pillar that the door locks onto when closed. I need both left and right sides. I also need a drivers side window switch (for two door). Im in Adelaide, but will pay freight. Cheers

In actual fact the R32 GTR was built along side the R33 well past 94. Nissan do this regularly, continue a known model along side the new one. Of course I dont expect you all to belive me. I just happen to have contacts in Japan who know this stuff, and Im not willing to make a big deal over it. Who really cares if they stop production in 93 or 96 anyway?

Thanks R31nismoid, I appreciate that.

You sound like a typical rice owner. You ever got the numbers off a turbo whilst on a GTR engine???? The Rego departments wont even do it. Look here, I asked for help to save myself some work trying to get these numbers. I actually got these turbos off a GTR that had spun a bearing. I know what the actuators are for d$#%%@$d. And if youve never heard anything like them, then your stupid. F%$#&g stupid. Seeing your a w@#$%r I can only imagine how your palm looks. Get out of this thread please!!!!!!! Uras, and R31nismoid, thanks for your replies. The turbos appeared standard, same cover and housing. Iĺl hunt around for a picture if you like. But the turbos looked identical to what I removed. These type of actuator appears on turbos for sale now and then, I was hoping someone has had some experience with them.

Hi all, To cut along story short I've fitted some turbos to my GTR (I didn't look at the part number, I just fitted them), I noticed when I went to fit them that the rod on the waste gate had two settings, so I set them on the lower boost setting, but on the road I had only 4-5PSI at full boost (Not cool in a GTR, my VL turbo would have killed it). So I changed the wastegate rods to the second hole (higher boost pressure), but the thing has way too much boost (Like i get scared and back off at 18 PSI). Has any one had any experience with this sort of thing? Im hoping someone can help me out as I really dont want to have to change the wastegate actuators, cos that looks like a really quick 2 minute job (NOT). Thanks guys

Hi all. Im going through the suspension dramas on my bnr32 myself....Lots of reading and researching happening. I originally fitted pedders camber and castor adjustable bushes. They worked well, got got adjustment for daily driver. But after some 40k kms the upper arms are squeaking like pig going to the slaughter house! lol Now as a mechanic I am willing to try these dog bone upper arms (yes I know I will regret that in 6 months lol), but in my travels I have found that the Nismo arms and mounts are more than silver painted standard items. For the R32 the mount where the upper arm bolts to is drilled different to minimise twisting of the arm, and the lower arm is lengthend by 4mm. http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/competi...ylinebnr32.html So now Im on the hunt for some adjustable lower arms too! I know SK says it will mess with bump steer etc, but the nizmo site makes no mention of this. Is 4mm enough either side to be able to notice????? I have to get new lower ball joints too (man they are expensive from Nissan anyone know where else I can get them). So this wheel alignment is going to cost a bomb. Im just wanting to do it right.
