  1. its mostly r32 drivers who say that, but onlt a Zed driver would consider it to be light lol.
  2. Are people honestly prepared to pay $200 for drag racing, even if you get 40 passes it only equates to 5 minutes of track time, a bit rich i think. why not run more cars and pay less money. John Bostons Track Day at OP guatantees 40mins of track time for the same price...
  3. good luck guys and have fun. Ill send some updates and expect some in return from Melbourne.
  4. OK im not sure if its Skylines or Skyline owners that you havent got much time for, but im shore that in any class of racing someone is going to whinge about something....You can see why the GTR boys would be upset though, 1200hp 4WD, definately behind the eight ball.
  5. could find that he is running agressive grind on cam which sacrafice mid-range. Just speculating though.
  6. i didnt realise the lotus your running is Jason Micaliffs. Was speaking to him yesterday afternoon and he was saying your good for at least a second a lap. Your a bit special Boz. Then i gave it to him a bit for not driving his own car lol. but its a serious event now and very competative.
  7. there are a few manufacturers doing this, i got confused when fitting mine also, but definately run that way.
  8. i see that you and weevil have been getting some practice in, you guys will be instructing with Bozy by May. Small hijak guys but does anyone know how to track down SAU NSW membership progress. I mailed mine off and payed about 6 weeks ago and havent heard anything, have also sent PMs and emails. Want to get it sorted as to get Cams liscence. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. yeh i thought lap times and general behaviour of the car would be the go but its obviously a lot more complicated. I guess ill suck t and see. Even if it means borrowing a boot lid with a wing on it. But if it involves data-logging and sensors i couldnt be assed. ill live with it loose and twitchy, bit like a kart under brakes anyway, just about 12 times heavier and more expensive to fix.
  10. well done doof, id choose the nurse over the drags any day lol.
  11. sounds like he already has his hands full.
  12. just remember if you run fuel cells, surge tanks or dry sump tanks in the boot then it needs to be sealed from the cabin. i pulled all the shelf out and am sheeting it with .9mm alloy.
  13. Paid..........looking forward to seeing you all.
  14. thanks guys, payed Boz today so definately have a deadline now. but at least it is a realistic one. I hope i get a chance to drive it before the track day so i can get used to it so i dont embarress myself infront of you all lol. Ive only driven it off the trailer and into the workshop when it was RB20 powered. Might have to let someone who can steer give it a crack. But really looking forward to OP and meeting you all. Still lots to get done, hope to give the exhaust a crack next weekend, but away at F1 the weekend after so nothing will get done. Mostly fiddly stuff left now.
  15. hey Ben no more hotdogs.... your a driver now, your spectating days are almost over, time to get you into shape, plus couldnt have two guys standing around in Adrians pit as he generally is doing that, although i heard he got his hands dirty last week.
  16. yeh we thought we would do a shakedown on the 400+kw soft tune...............tosser wish i had a 400+kw soft tune. good luck, im a good chance of a visit on Sunday.
  17. het boz, got your email, no direct debit payment details, do you mind if i pay this way or otherwise i can organise a cheque. Keen to get these open. Cheers Stuart.
  18. tight set-up phunky, really tidy. good to see that some people like to do things right the first time. love the heater.
  19. whats the go guys, havent heard much in the last month. Are you all set, what time is everything happening?
  20. if thats the case it answers your own question then . they retail for twice that amount and are proven. should do a group buy.
  21. good thing about new job is im home at 20 to five every day. Made throttle cable today, but not happy with the actual cable. it is tight. ill lubricate it and if that fails ill use another one. It was a redline universal job so might not be much chop. at least the brackets are done. going to start match porting the inlet manifold at a mates machine shop on thursday night. also going to lower the fuel rails for bonnet clearance. plumging the rails, map sensor and booster is straight forward.
  22. cant be genuine bosch pumps for that price. i know there are alot of immatations getting around ebay etc.
  23. factory tanks are usually baffled so no. Just keep the fuel level at half or above. Foam is good in cells which are usually square and have no baffles. some dont even have a sump. Note that the foam reacts to alcahol fuels like methanol, so might have similar issue on e85.
  24. if you use the stock tank the standard fuel pump is perfect to use as your lift pump. will save you a lot of hassle.
  25. thanks mate, but with each addition, a number of challenges present themselves. For some reason the manufacturer of this manifold decided the factory TPS switch doesnt fit. Ill have to hunt down a suitable replacement. It looks a little like a earlier Commodore one will fit. The Map sensor is easy enough to plumb in. Doesnt like like they run a IAC controller. The port match actually isnt too bad. And i have to lower the fuel rails about 15mm to clear the underside of the bonnet. Guess it wasnt designed to fit under a Skyline hood. All looks to be easy enough but time consuming. But at the end of the day i am very happy with the quality of the manifold.
