  1. two Bosch Motorsport 044s will do the pressure side. I high volume carburettor style pump is needed for the lift. have you replaced your fuel feed line?
  2. alot happening twenty days out from GP1. Do they intend on running at Melbourne?
  3. probably need some more information about application, estimated power etc. Im pretty sure basic layout was covered in Mark& Duncans R32 build thread. but generally you run a lift pump from your cell to a surge or header tank, then high pressure pump to rail, then return back to header tank, then overflow back to cell or main tank. There are intank pumps you can drop into the cell that eliminate the need for the header tank, but this all depends on application. can also modify cell to accomidate intank pumps as i have. Drag cars dont need the header tank, they just run the high pressure pumps off the rear of the cell.
  4. soon mate, i have a friend coming around to upload a VY Commodore tune into it and adjust injector trim to suit the 42pounders. Also has to eliminate the anti-theft security stuff. Once that is done it should be good to go. I have had a small set-back with the intake but should get it today. It still may require milling as the heads and block have been. Will trial fit it and mill if necessary. Obviously ensuring the port matching is perfect is important on a NA engine. Then some plumbing to the new fuel rails. In a perfect world that should happen this week-end, but we know how things go.
  5. we use that dash and logger on Aaron Hambridge's Top alcahol dragster. He seems happy with it. You could ring him and ask him about it. 42576792.
  6. excluding or seperating these cars may also open a whole new can of worms for competitors who have japanese cars powered by alternative manufacturer engines. i know there is a V8 class that would cater for some but not all. What is the event image? is it a Jap car event or open time attack sprint style event? are we taking a one eyed look at it from a skyline forum perspective? Hard one. Maybe a handicap sytem may work, that way every body still gets to race.
  7. thats pretty good considering it costs 40k to get into a raced aussie car. Im all for the purpose built track car Ben, no hassles with rego and the rest of the bullshit that comes with trying to race a street car. you will have plenty of fun in that thing, even though the yanks strugle in the pretty design stakes. The ass end is a little ugly lol. like you said, race, sleep, race next time without the hassle of repairing front diffs and blown rb26s. Well done. good choice.
  8. if you are asking these questions you probably shouldnt be doing the job.....
  9. buy one tight arse lol. b
  10. i dare say you have an exhaust leak from the base gasket, its common and will make a squealing sound when the car comes on boost. if the cooler pipework has the behind the radiator pipework then it will create lag. swap the pipes over at the point where they run next to each-other near the steer pump, a little bit of a hassle but worth it as it halves the cold pipe distance.
  11. no probs, ill give you some updates from bar20.
  12. adjustable bush kits give you plenty of adjustment, SK still uses standard arms with adjustable bushes in his circuit car as he believes that the arms are stronger than any adjustable arm on the market at the time he sold me mine, as he had had some after-market top arm failures. you allso get a tuned suspension package with SK. Custom spring rates and shock valving to suit your car and application as well as the correct diameter swaybars to suit. not to mention the wealth of knowledge and support. you have to look past the dolar signs, especially if there is only a couple of hundred dollars difference. and you cant compare a lovells or kings spring to an eibarch. my 2c worth.
  13. it cost them a champonship at the end of the day.
  14. i bought one from JS Auto Imports, Unfortunately i didnt get to use it as it turned up after the car was painted. Risking bought it off me. It was well made. Not sure of the weight improvement. youll have to ask him.
  15. Houston.......we have oil pressure.
  16. the v8s ran last year. it was the first time in a while but they were definately there. so id say there is a good chance of seeing the R35, they did a parade last year which had the Bugatti Vayron in it, should have heard that thing.
  17. nah, unfortunately didnt get much done. just made it a home in my garage, havent had it home before so spent most of the night organising the garage.
  18. lets not get excited, this could go pear shaped quickly. i guess once its running we can see if the decision was a good one. Riskings GTR carnage thread has given me hope lol. i guess they all look the same once they are busted up.
  19. that looks so angry, a credit too you. hope to see it on track soon.
  20. got car back today, wired and ready to start. Going to crank it for oil pressure later on tonight. Still have to fit intake in order to fire it. Took some pictures of ecu, fuse block and relay block. all fairly basic, mounted on passenger side floor. once the car is running i will be able to cut some more of the chevy engine harness out as it is for the BCM and not necessary. Like mentioned earlier it is tidy and functional but not show quality. But at the end of the day its a track car. i might spend some time pinning the harness up later, once we know it all works.
  21. good bet i reckon, he nearly threw it away for the second year running if it wasnt for Glock moving over for him. Hamilton is yet to win a championship convinceingly. tough season to come for him.
  22. i wish it was as easy as just throwing the engine cover in there lol. been fun though. worst part is waiting for other people.
  23. the electrician was almost done, he reckons we should be able to fire it on saturday. ill post some pics up. he had done engine bay, dash, and battery cable, relay and fuse box, was finishing powering up the ecu yesterday. might have to modify one harness for the tps switch and iac valve once new intake arrives as we are not sure where they are located. job is tidy, definately not autosalon quality but fuctional and easy to follow.
  24. im sure your wealth of knowledge and performance part collection that you wont have any trouble.
