Skyline R32 Ls3 Drift Car
BezerkR32 replied to Morten Kiil Finsaas's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Jas, forgett the fact that it is a chev, if it had have been a OHC nissan v8, what would the problem be then? When i spin this thing to 7500rpm, we will see if the pushrods cause any issues. This pushrod issue is bullshit. the old tecnology works. not as pretty, but it works. Ford tryed the OHC thing and have gone away from it. -

it took me 6 hours to fabricate engine mounts and gerabox mount for my car. Engine in and mounted in one aftrenoon. 6 x $70 =$420. i charge more to replace manifold studs on a RB. as for using second hand parts in a race engine, each to themselves. -

but at what cost. i still dont think you can set a 25 up cheaper than banging one of these in. Not the average joe who has to pay someone anyway. and the engine combo is still way lighter. time will tell. i know that its not for everyone but a little credit where credit is due doesnt go a-stray. -

Is there a way in which we could start a petition thread? -
V8's To Get Olympic Park Street Circuit
BezerkR32 replied to Black Widow's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Thats a great idea, but how do we go about doing it. Im sure that some sort of petition could be organised. SAU has massive member numbers, and we should be able to organise support from sister forums such as nissan silvia. and as you said, other car clubs and workshops could support it also. but we would have to be clear on what we were wanting sorted out. Do we not want street events because they take funding that could be spent on current track upkeep, or do we just want more funding for this? i dont see a problem with the street race as it will introduce motorsport to more people in which can generate money, but if it means loosing a track that the public uses then its a problem. -

I dont know SK, ive built alot of rb25s and they cost more than 4k in upgrades to produce 300kw. and the engine is lighter, reducing weight in the front of the car and overall. how you cannot see this is not a sensible choice both financially and power wise is beyond me. i take it then you are not interested in setting one of these up for circuit racing? -

What's The Benefit Of Joining Andra?
BezerkR32 replied to 9krpm's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
How do you earn a cage, hit the wall and then say yes, know i need a cage. And stop whinging about a chute Paul, your cars not fast enough for one anyway, -

BezerkR32 replied to 9krpm's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
they are whinging about paying $400 for a liscence let alone paying for a cage, and i guess its something you should be looking at seeing that your car is capable of 130+mph now. it was my first purchase. -

BezerkR32 replied to 9krpm's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
in all honesty guys, nothing will fair well with a 120mph impact with a concrete wall. air bags, crumple zones or not. id rather not be a part of the dash board but thats just me. -
Exactly my point, we should send the drag racing talk back to the drag section with all the un-coordinated people who can only do one thing at a time. Accelerate, brake, turn right.

Yeh, you would think that the Italians would want to look good first, come first second, but in this case they look bad as well as loosing.

makes go-karting seem so affordable, $240 sees two full meetings.

R32 Gtr Diff Into Gts-t?
BezerkR32 replied to Bennett's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
it depends on wether the inner gtst shafts will fit. otherwise will have to use diff, shafts and hubs from gtr. -
Another Clutch Slipping Thread =\
BezerkR32 replied to Shadex's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
im not sure why you come on here and ask for peoples opinion, some of which are proffessional, and them grill them if they say something you dont like the sound of. Your clamping pressure is the problem, not your clutch plate material. Jim berry can build you a organic clutch with 3000 pound clamp. i will supply and fit this clutch for you and guarantee it doesnt slip. if it does i wont charge you for it. ceramic clutches are designed for motorsport applications, not street use, and its also possible that you are getting oil contamination. -
Pity i cant spell. lol
