Im not sure what boost you are running but if you have ignition problems its probably due to the age of the coils, not the series. Or incorrect plug and gap. A new set of coils will be happy at 20psi+. Most aftermarket ECUs run the ignitors built in so they use series one coils. You can allways go to a MSD or CDI unit.

This i would like too see.

Loud Ticking And Exhaust Leak From Engine Help!
BezerkR32 replied to keong's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
do yourself a favour and change the lot, all the studs, gaskets nuts etc. Wont have to worry about them for another 13 years. And manifold gaskets are well under the $100 mark genuine gasket. $2 each for studs. probably $150 all up in parts. Dont only replace the brocken studs as you will continue to break them when you try to bolt it all back up. -
I take by the vast number of replies to this thread that there are more keyboard racers than real ones.

Andra Sports Compact Championship Opener. 18 November. Whos entered. It would be good to get a good turnout to ensure that sports compact racing has a future in Australia and in Sydney in particular. We are trying to get 5 cars up there, might be a squeeze to get a couple of them ready, but having a go. Hope to see alot of you that have raced on Wednesdays and now Fridays turn up on the 18th. You are guaranteed at least three passes and there is usually also grudge runs as well. If you are lucky enough to qualify you will get at least 1 more pass. Overall a good day and a chance to meet eachother in person. Hope to see you there. Stuart More information on http://www.wsid.com.au/

There is no reason he cant 1.8 sixty in that car with a set of MTs. The current ET is about right with that sixty and MPH. If he is prepared to launch at 5000-5500 he will see a good sixty and maybe mid 13s. MPH may also come up abit with some boost.

11.1@119mph i also can do

Went Down The 1/4 For The First Time Tonight

The bug has bitten. Guys , dont be scared to drop the clutch at 5500-6000rpm, it wont break anything. 2RISMO launches @ 5500 with 100 gas and it survives. he also cuts 1.6 sixty footers. it will break drive shafts before anything else. or turn the clutch. slipping the clutch will only burn it out. trust the tyres, they will hold on. -

Oil Control In Rb's For Circuit Drag Or Drift

i agree, and i dont think an oil pressure problem caused piston ring failure either, sounds like severe detonation. -
Scat H Beam Rods - Anyone Used Them ?
BezerkR32 replied to Guilt-Toy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Have used Scat rods in a few V8 nitrous builds with no problems. The ACL bearings are very good. The argo rods you can actually order with a larger gudgen pin which is a good idea if you are running big boost, nitrous or spinning it too 10000rpm or all of the above. All are very good products but i wasnt aware Scat did a rod too suit RB. -

255/50/16 MT street radials on a set of 300zx rims are the best combo to use. As for clutch, a Daikin Exedy heavy duty organic will be perfect. Tyres i sell for $250ea and clutch kit is $470 or $860 installed with Redline lightweight gear oil. Tyres, clutch & boost and the car will run high 13s. -

Went Down The 1/4 For The First Time Tonight
BezerkR32 replied to skylinegtts's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
My apprentice ran 13.9 @ 98 in his 32 4 door. Stock standard running 13psi boost and MT street radials. Was doind 1.9 sixty footers. -
The best thing about these cars running means that the track prep will have to be spot on. Means every body else will benefit as well. Ill think you will find that Wednesday will be for your street cars running 13s etc, and fridays for angry street cars running 9s.
