  1. if we carry on with this talk people are going to think that we offer other services as well as mechanical repairs..Bring it in this arvo.
  2. I forgot all about that, was wondering where it came from when i got lunch yesterday, thanks mate. Hows your crutch Jas?
  3. your car might even be quick enough to run on friday night..
  4. That overtaking manouvre definately has imprinted firmly im your mind hasnt it..
  5. thats the best, ill put 75hp on the Triton when i tow to WSID
  6. Me 2, loved watching Skylines smashing Commos & Falcons.
  7. 555cc will see you high 200kw @ the wheels. One 044 will be sufficient as it will support over 350kw on its own. should not have to replace rail or reg for under 300kw.
  8. Leave it all standard, replace the fuel pump and run a 75hp wet nitrous sysrem, will run low 13s to high 12s. Will owe you $1600 in parts and with some guidance you can fit it yourself. Best bang for your buck.
  9. i think 2 nights of racing will be great, but im not sure if it will fix the overcrowding problem. is there a minimum et for friday? so slower cars cant race both nights?
  10. Good on you mate, It is clear that you have alot of pride in your work and that you will do a good job. i recently bought a R32 with front end damage and rust. Bought it for $3000. Replaced the radiator support and rear quater panels. Ended up putting GTR quaters on. The repairs are not as extensive as yours but were done properly and i have no fear of driving the car as i am confident in my panelbeaters work. If you are confident in your own ability you go for it. Alot of people are nieve in thinking their cars have not had repairs, and would not know if they had if they were done well. I see alot of imports come through my workshop and most have had at least minor panel repairs. Good luck, and hope to see it on the road soon.
  11. Not really sure what you want us to tell you, if the car has everything listed and the engine builder did a good job it sounds good. would cost you a lot more to buy a standard one and mod it yourself. just sonds like it wants some injectors and a bigger turbo and it will make 300kw.
  12. Cars do run better when you perform an oil change, you may even feel a greater improvement if you have changed the viscosity of the oil. Not sure why you would pay $80+ for motul when there is better, cheaper products on the market though. seems all the skyline owners have been brainwashed.
  13. This is something that should have been sorted out in private, not on a public forum. especially when there are so many unanswered questions. Now , whatever the outcome you have tainted Aarons reputation without giving him a chance to repair or replace if necessary. This is a guys business and livelyhood. Suggest you dont post on the topic again and that moderators should have closed this thread as soon as a business name was mentioned.
  14. from what i undersand the difference is the q45 is bigger diameter, so you can run it on a 4" intake without having to reduce the pipe size. Recieving one today or tomorro, ill let you know if this is correct.
  15. There is no reason your car wont 1.75 sixty, but as already mentioned your wasting your time trying on any lesser tyre than MT street radials. If your slipping the clutch, your not getting 100% drive therefore your times will be slower. 5500-6000 on MTs, if it turns them, come down 500.
  16. 275 are generally 17" in MT anyway. should run 255 on a 7" rim. The common sizes are as follows, 235/60/15, 255/50/16, 275/40/17
  17. How many rear wheel drive GTRs did Nissan Produce? Still an RB series engine, Still GTST body style, I guess if it was 4wd you could question it.
  18. Congratulations Jason, your efforts have proven that you can get an independant rear end to sixty foot, with a lot of work as Theo said. You have set the benchmark for us all. Looking forward to see the car run on methanol, will be a torque monster. Well done again and i hope to be along side you soon. Stuart.
  19. Will be looking at t51R spl on about 45psi boost, no i am not joking. or Turbonetics Y2K on a bit less. I looked at the Y2K but the smallest exhaust housing is still way to big. this will definatily be a track car only and expect to run atleast 100 gas to spool it on the brake.
  20. Waste of time changing the cams without replacing the valve springs. you will not get the full potential out of your cams. wont be able to rev it any harder which makes the operation pointless. Also the increase in lift might cause the old springs to fail.
  21. 255/50/16 are best suited to your car, anything larger would be overtyreing the car. They also fit on 300zx alloy rims. can find them somewhat cheaper. otherwise 235/60/15 to suit a 15" rim.
  22. Haha. dont read more into it than there is, besides they specialise in fabrication where we specialise in mechanical so you cant really compare the two. They are good at what they do and so are we.
  23. Thats up there with the most stupid comment of the week.
  24. I only said the above because I know what it's like, mate. No need to take it so personally and go on the attack. I don't understand why you go on the ofensive all the time. I've been there and done that with a number of cars and if you start making power and raping them you're gonna hurt them from time to time. abusing them will only increase the chance of some type of failure. your burnout was as you would probably agree stupid. if you had done a solid burnout instead of the exibition style one you did, you probably would have been able to run.
