I am going to attach the lanyard to where you have suggested, i have a lock bar in place. Mount the chute where it will be caught by the wind. If you have a wing on the rear you will have to mount it out further.

Have fitted rb25t & 5 speed to vl and had to change diff gearing as standard vl gears were to tall. car would do 300kmh but had no torque. put 3.9:1 in and all was good.

My brother found an add like this a few weeks ago, turned out that the car was heavily damaged on the other side that you cant see from the pics. Tried to remove a telegraph pole. $16800 sounds about right for a damaged R34.

Thanks for all the info guys, i am running the car in Oz so 4 link is out and dont have spare 10k to throw at it. I have the R32 GTR diff and shafts fitted, sound like they may be up to it, ill just put a mechanical centre in once i know what gear ratio i want. TRPs R32 skyline has given me some faith.

We spent a bit of time with one of the NZ contingent last year. had a good laugh over a few beers on Saturday night, told us alot about racing at home. agree that WB might be a step up from NZ, but seriously, WB is behind most tracks in the country facility wise, nothing wrong with the track surface as it is arguably the best in the country. Nothing a few toilet blocks, taps & power points couldnt fix. Makes it hard when you have to lug so much gear up there.

Why did you fit the reg if there was nothing wrong with car before hand?

Fuel system i have is to support c16, two 044 pumps. should be good for around 800hp @ flywheel. pulled it all out of the Galant when Paul put it on methanol. not sure about times as yet as i know i have alot of work ahead, but low 9s would be very nice.

im not sure about circuit racing, but i know that for drag racing cage must be fully welded, the only thing that can bolt in is side intrusion bar. must be steel also. Not Alluminium. I had my 8 point molly cage built for $3500. Dint want to cut any corners when it comes to safety.

no mate definately not yours, i bought it from a guy in brisbane with some front end damage. but his user name was slo32 or something similar. The guards were easier to fit than i thought, just have to stretch the inner guard to meet the new panel. definatelyn has given her some personality. guys at Profab did a great job on the cage, hopefully i never have to test it.

you cant seriously expect anybody to diagnose your car for you over the internet. get it towed to your mechanic. stuffing around with it will only cost you more in the long run.

Few more pics, radiator support fitted, lights, front bar etc. removed rear quarters, glad we did it this way know as we can cut rust out properly. looks fat know.

Have heard that the Port Kembla Cup will be contested again on sunday, Momo with 8 sec Rotary is testing, Jigga with 9.1sec LC torana, Kon with 10.3sec aspirated Lx hatch, All these guys are from Port Kembla, all mates sort of, funny to watch, they gee eachother up something fierce, funny. That will throw a spanner in the mix, splitting the class up 3 ways, do the cars with after market transmisions recive a weight penalty or are they moved into Oz Mod?

If it is the same as the rb25 series 1 & 2 plenum gasket you will be able to re-use it. its got big rubber o rings. it will be O.K.

Would you say that this car is street legal? and if so should it have been and would it have been street driven safely?

There would not many cars running in super street or Sports rear if this was the case, unless you wanted to see 14sec passes all day...... boring.

if you are running a full slick on the rear you are required to run a cross ply front runner. Dangerous not to as the rear of the car sways with the slick and your radials on the front do not. Why dont you run drag radials instead?

Not sure why you are being told to change pump and reg? Upgrade pump and leave the reg.
